Friendly and cosy. Excellent home made soups.

Nice coffee and cakes, service not so switched on. We had to ask twice and waited 15 mins for the last drink from our order. As it was a coke this was disappointing. Oh and service charge is included automatically . All in all it would have been better to have walked a few more steps to exhibition road, lots to choose from there.

Lovely, relaxed little place with tables inside and outside in garden. Near South Kensington tube and Natural History Museum. Light and mostly veggie fare but something for everyone, be it breakfast, brunch, lunch or late-afternoon snack.

We popped in here before our visit to the Museum. Staff were super helpful as we were a big table with 3 kids. The food was amazing and we enjoyed this in the secret hidden garden at the back. Would recommend and we will definitely be back

It's OK, but it's expensive for what it is. And they "force" you to pay for 12.5% service when it "must" be optional.

Popped in here as it looked warm and inviting on a cold December evening, with a serviceable snack menu. It was late in the day and so it was fine that some stuff wasn’t available (less wastage; means it’s fresh) and I really enjoyed a rare beef roll on delicious bread and an excellent coffee. Service was extremely warm and efficient. So getting towards four and a half stars. Then … I went downstairs to the “facilities”. Wasn’t really impressed to be honest. There is something about food preparation areas being meters from the aforementioned “facilities” that I couldn’t stomach. Can you not sort this out? I loved everything else!

I hope my 5 Star Rating says it all about this Restaurant! I am so glad I discovered this 'little gem' in the South Kensington area!!

Lovely place with great service

I had the homemade jalapeño cornbread with grilled chorizo and a fried egg, along with some avocado and siracha mayo - it was savoury and a little sweet and spicy - so many amazing flavours and textures. Along with the chocolate shake (made with oat milk) it was the perfect thing to kickstart my weekend. My friends equally enjoyed their French toast with bacon and toasted banana bread. We sat in the outdoor garden and although it was a chilly day, it was perfect with the heat lamps on!

what a nice place with secret garden in the city center. What a amazing team, you can feel their professionalism and friendliness. What amazing food. I love the breakfast, frech toast and cornbread , which give me energy to start my day! I really recommend this place to everyone!

This little cafe is consistently good. I have eaten here at various times of the day and had different meals. Each time I have had great tasting food and great service from the friendly staff. It is sadly not easy these days to find independent restaurants/cafes that offer great food at reasonable prices but thankfully Brompton Food Market does just this. If you are in the area give it a try, it really is very good. This time I had breakfast on two separate days , the mushrooms were absolutely divine.

Nice place in the area, many choices. We had cooked breakfast and the flavour was fine, Great service and really nice courtyard at the back. Salads option looked really appealing and pastries/cakes were other options.

Nice place to sit and relax and eat good reasonably priced food. Lovely salads, juice, coffee and cakes. The staff are very friendly too. I would definitely recommend, as you're not rushed. Very chilled. Nice decor. I'll be returning on my next visit to the museums.

Had a delicious lunch here after visiting the V&A museum. I can highly recommend the club sandwich, was so flavourful. Calm atmosphere and friendly staff.

Perfect little setting with a nice garden behind and also an underground level. Service was good and food were prepared with passion. The Works Hot Chocolate is highly recommended. Will definately visit again when back in London. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

Delicious healthy food with decent prices

My husband and I tried the Brompton Food Market after realizing that the breakfast at our B&B was mostly cold foods/cereal. We liked Brompton Food Market so much that we returned the next morning. We both had the full breakfast (bacon, scrambled eggs, avocado, tomato, mushrooms, and sourdough toast). Given that we always hold the baked beans and black pudding with the typical full English, this offering was perfect. We also tried the fresh Orange and Orange/Carrot/Ginger juice. Everything was freshly made and delicious! We will certainly be back again.

All we ordered was an iced coffee and tap water. Took 10 minutes for the tap water to arrive then another 10 minutes for a coffee. Service wasn’t great either. Asked for the bill and the waitress just pointed a card machine at me, without even telling me the total amount. Disappointing.

This restaurant is memorable. The service was great. They were prompt and kind. Both of us had the Brompton Food Market Full Breakfast. It was a lot of good quality food. We also ordered Homemade Toasted Banana Bread. We treated it like our breakfast dessert. All of this is as prepared very well and full of flavor. We are sad this is our last day in London. Will come back the next time we visit.

Two of us went there for brunch today and had the cornbread. The food was good but tiny portions - for £11.75, this was a very small snack rather than an eat-out breakfast. Whilst I don't have a problem with small portions, for the price, didn't seem huge value for money. Service was super slow and the waiting staff did everything to avoid eye contact with customers. Our table also was not clean. I still gave a generous tip. But they need to look at cleanliness and service.

Called in for breakfast, for the main reason, I could get a seat, that should have been a clue as most other places in the area were busy !. Very poor service, my coffee was OK, but the breakfast was almost cold, I did complain when paying only to get a big smile and a thank you sir !!!.

Lovely surprise spot just around the corner from the musuems on the way back to the tube station! Best carrot cake I've had in a long time. Everybody enjoyed their cake, ice-cream & drinks in the lovely shaded garden at the back of the property. Will definitely visit again, thanks guys!

I had the burrata, ham, and tomato and it was pretty nice. After a skimming thru the menu I was expecting it to be a sandwich but everything came separately with sourdough bread. It was still pretty great.

Delicious food, well prepared and well served. A good selection of hot and cold drinks. I had a lovely breakfast with my son here. I will visit again.

Sat outside for about 15 minutes with 2 waiters serving the woman on the only other table outside right next to us and not bothering to serve or give us a menu. Completely ignored so we left:

Food quality was excellent. Service was very nice and friendly. We started with a hummus and pita and then I had the sauteed mushroom and sourdough bread with egg, plus an added smoked salmon. It was delicious and very filling. Good portions.

Quite possibly the best sandwich ever, not just in London, I mean anywhere. The rare roast beef sandwich has the most delicate and perfect bread, with lovely olive oil and pesto hidden within on the top and spiced mayo on the bottom, pickled onions, complimenting arugula, and moist, tender, beef I'll be dreaming about this for a long time 😁. I'm told the sauteed mushroom and sourdough dish with added smoked salmon was also excellent 👌. If we had more time in the area, this would certainly make the short list. Did I mention how good the sandwich was 😜.

Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing atmosphere Truly a hidden gem in South Ken! The food and coffee are absolutely delicious. I've gone back many many times, but a freshly made lemonade and a slice of cake in the garden is the best escape from the bustling city! The staff clearly enjoy working at the cafe and working with each other, which makes the whole experience all the more enjoyable. Would definitely reccomend!

We had really been looking forward to a rare treat brunch out but it overall left disappointed. My husband's french toast went down a treat but the cornbread was a real let down - bone dry, wouldn't recommend at all! - and with quite a hefty price tag. A couple of brunch dishes with coffee and a juice somehow exceeded £40. A word of warning too - if you are seated in the garden, bring something warm. We weren't expecting to be out there and were freezing by the end of brunch.

Arrived at 11.45. Took 20 minutes for anybody to come and take a drinks order. Then the waitress ran off saying she'd be back soon to take food orders. 20 mins later she reappeared and said breakfast could no longer be served because it was now after midday. Definitely not going back.

Terrible experience here. Took 25 minutes to order food and then told the breakfast menu was no longer on when we went to order. Incredibly slow service. Have been before and the food was great but I felt constantly ignored by the staff

rude staff. if you want to get a coffee and cake without being treated like a waste of space go somewhere else.

As others have said, the secluded courtyard for alfresco lunches is a great location in a busy part of London. Friendly service and simple but good food.

Family brunch with two kids was excellent. Professional and friendly service with exceptional food and good cappuccino. Secret garden tables we’re comfortable. Highly recommended.

Pause déjeuner agréable pour souffler entre deux musées à South Kensington. Acceuil détendu, cadre joli, bonne playlist et plats simples et sains, pour un repas frais et vitaminé pour changer des pubs et autres fish and chips. Choix de salades assez intéressant et menu enfant à base de sandwichs avec de bons produits. Service un peu au ralenti mais rien de méchant. Une bonne adresse.

Stopped in here for a quick coffee and cake. Walked in and was happily surprised with the size of their garden with plenty of seating options. The coffee and cake were decent, but nothingntonwrite home about. The staff were friendly but having a 12.5 %service charge was a bit hefty

Excellent place! Great brunch! This is definitely a hidden gem in South Kensington! The back yard is very quiet and cosy. I really enjoyed the avocado plate.

Bananabread to die for. Fluffy and light with delicious toppings. Their berry mix smoothie and raspberry lemonade was really good as well. Can really recommend!

Nice brunch spot right next to South Kensington station. Very fast serving time (around 5 mins). There aren’t many choices on the menu and the food tastes ok. Portion sizes are relatively small-average and the prices are good for London. The seating areas are clean and cosy.

I go here a lot for breakfast and lunch as it's close to work and is my favourite eatery in South Ken, for breakfast it's by far and away the best place to go. The scrambled eggs are always delicious and a great choice of teas and coffees. Also the garden is really lovely. Booked a 6pm table yesterday for dinner which I've never done before and they had run out of salad, frittata and houmous which on a relatively small menu means there's not much left to choose from, there were 3 dishes left and one of those was not vegetarian. Ended up having the other two options-smashed avocado and tortilla chips and a cheese toastie - it was ok but all very dry and the sandwich needed salad. It took 40mins to arrive so we had to eat super quick and then run off to my evening appointment. Not the nice dinner experience I was expecting and overall very disappointing, I won't be returning for dinner again. Staff were polite but couldn't escape the embarrassment of a restaurant with very little food.

The toilets are downstairs- do pass the kitchen on the way and can have a look in- looked clean. Service was good.

Used to be excellent. Now appears to be run by amatures. Never even stayed to order. Feels like it's owned by an accountant and staffed with school kids.

Used to be the old Brompton food market, now a nice little cafe with outdoor garden seating. The sourdoughs bread used fantastic and the summer detox salad is very refreshing.

Although this place has a good atmosphere, the food was sub-par. The breakfast burrito was supposed to have chorizo, but there was hardly any in it and the cheese was very overpowering. When I told them about it, they just said they are sorry and left it at that. Not a great experience.

Their Iced latte is a life saver in a scorching summer day and I am so amazed by their New York cheesecake!

Really nice little cafe around the corner from South Ken, Good food and a lovely little hidden garden. Much better value and quality than the overfull, overpriced tourist traps on the busy south end of Exhibiiton Road around the corner. Defo from now a favourite stop when visiting the museums of South Ken.

Great place to have a cosy breakfast. We recommend breakfast set and cheesecake, both amazing. Breakfast burrito was good, but a little bland. Really good coffee, great service. Nice interior. You can come here with a dog.

Had lunch in this lovely place after half a day spent at the V&A. I was a bit worried as it wasn't packed like other places in the area but I really had a good meal. I had a vegetarian stew, which was healthy and tasty :)

Loved the aesthetic, a cute quiet place in central London, just around the corner from the nat history museum. The food was pretty good, but the five stars is for atmosphere.

Cancelled my reservation after previously accepting.

Don't let the name fool you. It's a single bistro style cafe. Pricey for what you get. They have an outside covered an heated tent which was adequate but maybe just skip this place altogether and go somewhere nicer.

Nice little cafe, that had lots of extra seating downstairs and in their garden. Food and drinks were good, and there was a good selection of gluten free vegetarian options, which can be hard to come across in busy London areas. Would recommend as a stop off on the way to, or from the various museums in the area.

Lovely location/garden and coffee. One of the waiters needs to learn customer service. It is a shame as other staff are lovely. Maybe put them as backroom staff as it will not help your reputation. Having watch them with other tables, basic customer service are...

Food was great however the atmosphere lacked. Or should I say it was disrupted by loud stacking of plates, sorting through cutlery, general kitchen noise on the same floor as the tables. I was looking forward to a serene breakfast. I shall not return there, unfort.

Went twice - food was nicely cooked and presented but was disappointed the second visit when the chef "absolutely refused" to make the breakfast burrito without scrambled egg or with any sort of substitute instead of the egg. Most of the substantial meals on the breakfast menu do contain egg which I have an intolerance to, so I had toast which was fine I guess! The smoothies were lovely. Giving 4* for group experience, but personally would give it a 3.

Had high hopes, but will not visit again. The food was very basic and not worth the price for what it was - such as the winter stew was simply 90% frozen peas in tomato sauce and was nearly £11, and a side plate size of salad for £13. The single toilet wasn't working, and the staff didn't seem surprised when I mentioned it. They said there was no staff toilet the customers could use, so feel bad for them if that's true - how can you not have a functioning toilet for staff and customers? They didn't even put up a sign to warn customers and it was clear people were still using the non-flushing toilet. Made for a very uncomfortable and disappointing lunch experience. This feedback was also given to the staff, but felt was important to share for other potential customers.
