Great service, great venue & great vibe

Brinkley's has been a Chelsea institution for decades. It is always fun. Long may it continue. I hope that they bring the other bar back into service this Summer.

Paper napkins are not acceptable in this type of place. Very impressed how rude the staff was and their bad manners. Coming constantly to ask things without caring if they interrupted a conversation. Lastly they came to take away my plate still with half of my dessert and touching it without me authorising. Never more, definitely not worth the money

i went to lunch, wanted fishcakes which i was then told were off the menu, have been coming here for years and liked the simple lunch menus cottage pie some good fried fish, salads etc. it has changed and am not very keen on the alternative. i was with 3 friends and we all had problems choosing.

Nice place, but it was incredibly quiet, even for a Sunday evening.

The portion size was tiny of the liver . 1x sliver of liver is not enough for the price charged . Tastes great though . Shame

Just a great way to eat pre a Chelsea match .......

Service is excellent: pretty servers with smiles. No fat cows or attitude. Food is good but main course portions are a bit small (used to be larger). Wine list is good but a little expensive compared to similar retaurants. Ambience is very good: tablecloths, lighting, etc. It can get noisy when diners get 'oiled'. But everyone speaks properly. The owner is there everyday to watch. Friendly fellow who knows many of the diners. One of my favorites.

Very good food, served up well and speedily, no mistakes, in a nice place. And it didn't break the bank. It was a return visit and there will be more.

Great atmosphere. We had really attentive and friendly servers. Although some of the wine list was reasonably priced, the wines weren’t great. The truffle fries were not great.

Brinkley's is my neighbourhood go-to restaurant. The staff are lovely, the food good, and the people-watching beyond belief.

They've been very busy during the night so understandably service wasn't outstanding. Food was really great. We had Sashimi and prawns for sharing, and I had Wagyu Burger.

An enthusiastic welcome. It’s the first time I’ve been back for a while and I loved the updated decor. Great cocktails, a very straight forward wine list with as much variety as needed with some good value classics, excellent food and attentive service. A most enjoyable evening.

When we first arrived at our table, the service was initially good. However, after we finished our main dishes, the waitress never came back to ask if we wanted anything else - more drinks, coffee, dessert, or even the bill. To top it off, it was so noisy we couldn't carry a conversation and let alone hear what any of us said. Annoyed, we left and paid at the entrance since the waitress never came back to our table. Truly disappointing.

We are regulars. Went for a late lunch and sat outside. The yellow fin carpaccio was excellent and the wine offering from the shop is extensive. Enjoyed a St. Aubin white. Service was professional and friendly

Lunch with a friend for a 40th birthday. Food and wine was excellent - good value too! We sat in the “garden” (fully covered indoor area) which was nice and light, although the entrance through the bar looks quite underwhelming. Service was great. We’ll definitely visit again!

Great atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon and the service was as good as usual. Food was very good this visit and the steak and truffle pasta really enjoyable.

Lovely al fresco ambience, good service. Unfortunately food was very average, nothing special and not great value. Creme brulle was pretty bad. Probably better to have a few drinks here before going to a nicer place for dinner.

Food was very average. Lacking seasoning and flavour. Staff seemed to forget about you and food took a very long time to be put on the table. Had to ask several times about wait time. However staff were very apologetic and acknowledged the delay.

Poor food, a bit rough service and overall just didn&#039;t feel very hospitable. Not great value I&#039;m afraid.

Not covid friendly. Had asked for outdoor seating - outdoor was packed but not given a table there but led to the ‘garden’ this is not a garden. It is an enclosed area no ventilation. Were I not with my grandkids I would have left and wanted to. However the manager resented us in a quieter area. However this wax still indoors and none of the serving staff wear masks.

This is mostly a relaxed watering hole for well heeled locals, but there is a limited menu available. The food we had was all very nice (yellowtail sashimi, chicken salad, cheese plate). It&#039;s a bit pricy but par for the course among restaurants in this area.

Brinkley&#039;s never lets you down, a great place to meet up with friends and have a great time. the Olivia menu, which is now on offer, Olivia being the owner&#039;s daughter, is really good honest food. I had the grilled tuna with the chili mash with perfectly cooked french beans. We were 6 friends who hadn&#039;t met up since the Covid restrictions started last year and it is the perfect atmosphere to celebrate and have a few glasses of wine.

The food was great however in terms of feeling safe and comfortable, given the current pandemic, this was lacking. In all hospitality venues, staff must wear masks and social distancing between tables must be ensured. Unfortunately, at Brinkley&#039;s not any of the wait staff that served us were wearing masks and the tables were so close together. Additionally, at a time when hygiene and cleanliness cannot be compromised, the bathrooms were disgusting and missing toilet paper.

Always being neglected at the door as no one welcomes you in or asks if you have a table booked but once at the table the service is okay.

Amazing afternoon at Brinkleys - food was exceptional and service perfect

Kindly accommodated us when we arrived early, and gave us an outside table (given the weather!) if we could be done by 2pm. In the end, they waived this as well so we had time for the UNBELIEVABLE chocolate fondant .. seriously, do not skip this! We shared black rice arancini with wild garlic aioli; niece had goats cheese salad which she devoured; I had tuna tartare (slightly over salted) with courgette fries (just enough bite) alongside. Half bottle of Miraval Rose just made it the perfect bank holiday, long lazy lunch in the sunshine ....

The quality of the food has gone down since the menu change last year; it’s a real shame as the food used to be excellent before the food was taken over by Olivia.

The ambience and vibe are nice. Food is okay. If you go, make sure you book a table in their backyard/garden that is inside the restaurant. The other space of the restaurant doesn’t worth.

We booked a week in advance. the table that has been offered was at the entrance door overlooking piles of boxes . It looked more like a storage room. We used to come before, so didn’t expect this level. <br />we changed table to the properly set table. They only gave one hour to eat. <br /><br />on the other note, food was delicious.

I was so excited to visit the famous Brinkley’s but what a let down. Waitress was unfriendly, unhelpful &amp; quite frankly rude. She made us feel completely unwelcome. We had ordered a lovely red wine Talbot 2009 which was delicious. However the food was thrown at us. The presentation of our steaks was very poor. One of our starters arrived with our main meal. One of our side dishes arrived 1/2 way through the meal. We had to ask for condiments. We were never asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything. The place seemed a little shabby &amp; unclean particularly the toilets and the green banquette. I won’t be returning. I’d give this one a muss!!

Lovely restraint owner being a personal friend of the family John. Service was a bit rushed ordered a steak and came within ten minutes which was a bit unexpected and we were sort of ushered through our bottle of wine. Atmosphere and ambience amazing as usual. Food was lovely albeit bit small on portions.

The seared tuna was outstanding, staff very friendly and overall a great restaurant<br /><br />We were seated in the back - not ideal as a large party sitting directly behind and very noisy - if the weather had been better would have sat outside at the front.

First of all Extremely rude hostess, she gave us less time for our table and 30 mins before we had to leave the table various staff members were coming with the cash machine to pay as if they were trying to tell us leave. At that point I ignored them.

Food amazing as ever, service quite slow, but overall a good experience.

It was ‘ok’, but I probably won’t go back. We live in the neighbourhood and the patrons were a bit of a drunk and sloppy Chelsea crowd. I ordered the veal Milanese and it was disappointing — I prefer the one from Como Garden for the same price. And our server was attentive at the star, but disappeared at the end — we probably could have walked out on our bill and no one would have noticed. <br /><br />Also zero social distancing and no face masks on staff, so beware!<br /><br />Just go for drinks and living drama, but I would take a pass on the food.
