La Delizia in Kensington and Chelsea

The staff let us sit inside and wait for them to open even though we were early. Food was amazing, very good mozzarella cheese on the pizza.

We were disappointed with our experience. While it seemed that other clients were enjoying good camaraderie with the staff and even being offeredfree limoncello, we were not extended the same courtesy. We waited over 45 minutes to be served, and when we finally were, the service was unfriendly and dismissive. The food, unfortunately, was very flat in flavor, and the staff’s attitude, especially while we were there with kids, felt quite rude. Overall, we did not feel well treated.

What a find. A bustling, and vibrant cozy, local restaurant with authentic food and very friendly service, even close to closing time. Loved my Vongole and how refreshing to have a choice of quarter and half carafes not just a glass or a bottle. Courtesy of the charming and hard working Michelle, we finished with a "special" Limoncello. 😉 Terrific experience. Reminded me to pursue the simple pleasures.

One of the most disappointing and insulting dining experiences I’ve ever had in London. We ordered a pizza and gnocchi, and both dishes arrived within 3 minutes—clearly reheated and utterly inedible. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, every table had a 'reserved' sign, creating a strange and unwelcoming atmosphere. To make matters worse, the waitress and chef engaged in a loud, heated argument, exchanging insults in full view of the only customers present (us). The gnocchi was so bad that I couldn’t stomach more than two bites. The outdated decor pales in comparison to the real issue here: terrible food. Avoid at all costs.

Loved the pizza. Loved the pasta. Super friendly staff. Small space with big windows and tables outside with heaters. Ideal neighborhood restaurant!

Excellent Italian, friendly service

Upon entering, I was hoping for the hidden gem mentioned elsewhere in the reviews. The place doesn't look like much, very old school 80s Italian marble type style... So it must be good to compete in the area, right? My pizza was fine, but you can't really go wrong there... the rest though felt somewhat uninspired. We probably could have done better... And for less.

Wonderful hidden away just off the Kings Road - family run and delightful. Tables outside - great menu and service. It has been there for decades and we hope it will remain for many more!

Very good pizzas, and even though restaurant's atmosphere is a little tame, the staff are very rude... When I walked in, the waitress just slammed the menus on my table and walked off. When she came back she voiced quite angrily, whilst paying no attention "What do you want.", then walked off. Then as she brings our water back, she proceeds to splash me with water when opening the bottle and doesn't apologise whatsoever, then slams the bottles on the table and walks off. She then proceeds to slam our pizzas on the table and once again walk off angrily. All throughout our meal we felt fairly uncomfortable, that as soon as we finished our food we tried to pay as quickly as we could and get out of there.... I'll stick to ordering their pizzas from home.

We did take away - burrata, rocket salad, pasta, pizza. They were ALL underwhelming. The pizzas were cold - I suspect they were made earlier in the day and were leftover. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t even make the effort to reheat them. The pasta was supposed to be bolognese - esque, but first there wasn’t sufficient sauce to get more than a taste of the cold penne, and second I think I’ve had more flavorful out of a jar. The rocket salad had fresh Parmesan on it, but no dressing. The burrata tasted significantly better with salt and pepper. Net, net give this place a miss, at least for take away.

Very nice staff. Average food. Pizzas good but don’t bother with anything else. My mozzarella I don’t think was buffalo. It had no flavour. Sundried tomatoes were probably from a jar. Pasta was fine.

I’ve been to many places in Italy including Naples. I had pizza in various cities across the world. This was simply the best pizza I’ve ever had. So humble, cozy, authentic and so much positive vibes. A “must do” in London.

What a wonderful little Gem. Everything was wonderful from arrival to leaving. Delicious and authentic Italian food served by lovely and attentive staff in a small intimate restaurant - off the busy main road. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Went there for an early lunch, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, pizza was really nice with huge chunks of delicious burrata. Gamberoni had some super fresh Argentinian shrimps. Cosy, laid back atmosphere and really decent prices.

Still a wonderful secret. Grazie mille. Best pasta in London.

A small family restaurant. The food is excellent; I had a pizza with gorgonzola, which was delicious. After that, I had tiramisu and espresso; I felt like I was in Italy. Big praise for the owner, especially for his daughter; she was very kind and cultured.

Food was okay. Penne not seasoned enough, pizza base very soggy. Tiramisu was good.

It’s a perfect place to enjoy dinner, a cosy little restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. Any dish you can order is expertly cooked by the local chefs, both from the north and the culinarily rich south of Italy. Rest assured that you leave with a full tummy and be warned: you will come again. The atmosphere is perfect: on a quiet street, yet really easily-reachable corner of Chelsea. If you live nearby it is certainly worth a visit, and also if you are passing by, and you want to treat yourself, swing by and don’t worry as the food won’t take long. The chefs vary, but not in quality. If your pizza doesn’t turn out like the one on the photos, it is only because a different cook was working, dig in though, it will still be exquisite

This restaurant is really good for kids and families in the early evening. We went when it was quite quiet and the service was really quick and efficient. They have a big choice of food and drink. Loved every second of it!

I do not know how long this place has existed but it certainly is a very long time! Nothing has changed still offered great food and wonderful local atmosphere! It has been my family’s local for over 50 years and expect it to be here for over 50 more!

Pizza absolutely not as the one in the pictures saved on this google account. The pizza s pasta is tasteless but the prices are the same of not higher than the real pizza places like rossopomodoro. Those pictures should be removed as the pizza man and/or the pizza s pasta changed (to worse). Btw the boss and waiters are very nice and they have air conditioner inside.

Restaurant de petite taille avec une terrasse extérieure de quelques tables. La décoration intérieure est simple. Cote nourriture la pizza est correcte mais sans plus. Nous avons également pris la mozzarella et les aubergines qui étaient passables. Bon service dans une ambiance familiale. Prix correctes.

The Mille Fois was excellent, but I found human hair in their jammie dodger.

This is a little gem just off Kings road. Super friendly host and waitrons, food was excellent especially the pizzas. All very reasonably priced for London. Tables inside or on the pavement.

It's just not very pleasant as a dining experience, sticky plastic tables & a price which implies a sophisticated experience but actually food doesn't feel that fresh & the environment isn't very swish. I wouldn't visit again, even if service was very pleasant. £50 to share a starter, two glasses of wine and a main. It's not quite deal of the year and the experience doesn't justify the price. Food was alright.

Absolutely perfect neighborhood Italian restaurant - food, service, atmosphere all fantastic. We stopped in right before closing to grab a few pizzas for takeaway and they couldn’t have been more pleasant and accommodating. The pizzas were delicious. Can’t wait to go back again for the daily specials.

Been our local for many years, everything is fantastic and flavourful and consistent. The house pizza is addictive.

On entering the restaurant Isabella asked us if we had a reservation. My friend responded yes and on finding the booking said the booking was for 5 people. When she was told that only 3 of us were now dining she sarcastically thanked us "for letting her know" and chastised us for not letting the restaurant know before we arrived. My friend responded that the numbers had only changed an hour before the booking. When we were shown to our table I asked Isabella what her name was. Suddenly her manner became more appropriate and polite right up until we left. However my friend noticed that other non Black people entering the restaurant were seated without being asked if they had a reservation. Not quite the "customer experience" I was expecting on my first visit to the restaurant. The other waitress and a chef were very pleasant and greeted us warmly.

Pizza was of a good quality. Base was a bit thin and soggy, meaning it was falling apart and a bit difficult to eat. Not sure if this is the restaurant's fault also, but the rider was quite slow with arriving to/collecting the food. Probably a problem on Just Eat's end, though I know when I've ridden for another service in the past, sometimes restaurants with particularly slow service have prompted riders to do other orders in the interim.

Absolutely fantastic place. Truly hidden gem just out of closely located Kings Road and really close to the Sloane Square. Small cozy family owned restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Pizza is highly recommended plus great selection of wines. 🍷 Definitely coming back and very soon!

Delicious authentic Italian food! Great service and nice staff. (Note: The Parmesan cheese was added to my choice) Everything was fresh and tasty. The place itself it’s really small and where we were there it was overcrowded, so make sure you reserve your seat. Really recommend for Italian food lovers!

The only restaurant that still had available seats for us at this area even though it was busy. Nice waiters that really care about your satisfaction and great food. The price is also good!

Walked in for a weekday lunch, very casual Italian bistro. We took the leeks and shrimp risotto, it was absolutely yummy. My husband is Italian and we both like it, a hidden gem in Chelsea, much better than those hyped ones

One of those small cosy tucked away places that I love, as soon as you walk in, the aroma of authentic Italian cooking hits your nostrils. The owner, Michele is friendly, chatty & has even extended the place to nextdoor. I also appreciate the trompe l'oeil as part of the surrounding decor.

The food comes out quickly. It's mostly decent but nowhere near what we were expecting from the five star reviews sadly.

There are not many restaurants like this one. What makes them one of a kind is the nice feel of this place. Genuine family run restaurant with super friendly staff and owner. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. We had mussels for starter and 2 pizzas for main - food was so good I forgot to take a photo of the starter!

The order was never delivered. It should have been delivered at 21.45, but at 22.15, the app said it was delivered but wasn't.

Slightly overtopped, but a fine meal nonetheless. The cuttlefish was excellent.

Pizza was delicious, just like when you eat at that restaurant. The only issue was the toppings ended all over the pizza box, not on the pizza. Delivery man should be more careful/aware that the toppings are added at the end and are loose.

Enjoyable evening in the Covid restrictions era (outdoor dining) with good selection of wines and Italian dishes. Recommend the pizza which is thin and fresh. Good choice of pasta also. Limoncello on the house was a nice (and warming!) touch. Recommended.

Entró y el restaurante estaba lleno, así que me senté afuera con los calentadores encendidos. perfecto para un frío final de septiembre, Sardinas compartidas y una hermosa botella de Barolo. Servicio amigable. Tuve una pizza maravillosa, los amigos comieron el hígado y una pasta de mariscos para los tres compartimos un poco de pudín, todos tuvimos que irnos a las 10 pm lo disfruté todo el tiempo que fuimos, definitivamente regresaría.

The 4 of us walked into a completely full restaurant, thank god we booked a table in this very small restaurant been already twice liked this place very much. Cosy and not expensive, we ordered 4 pizzas to share between us and two pasta to share to start with , all were very good friendly service and in fun and very local place that has been there for years serving the locals.

Popped in and the restaurant was full so sat outside and put the heaters on. Shared a antipasti platter and a lovely glass of rose. Quick and friendly service. Would definitely return.

i have been alerady twice and i like this place very much. Cosy and not expensive, we ordered 2 pizzas to share between my wife and little boy.

A great place to have a get together without huge prices in fun and very local place that has been there for years serving the locals.

We ate here this evening and really enjoyed. It's a small restaurant but really buzzing. The menu isn't big but food was excellent and house red was terrific. Saff were helpful and attentive.

I had not been to La Delizia in ages and the pizzas are still very good. Will not wait as long to go back

Cierra los ojos, piensa en tu restaurante italiano clásico imaginado en Nápoles, ábrelo de nuevo y estás allí, excepto que estás en Chelsea Church Street. Genuino, delicioso, simple, lleno de sabor, una cacofonía de sonido feliz. Tenga en cuenta que las mesas están empacadas, así que no es realmente el lugar para susurrar cosas dulces. 9 de nosotros visitamos para una fiesta de cumpleaños incluyendo 3 niños. Nos atendieron muy bien. La comida era excelente. Buena variedad de pizzas y pastas, buen vino, excelente servicio y buena relación calidad-precio. La alergia a la nuez de mi hijo fue atendida. Definitivamente regresaría. El lugar estaba bastante ocupado en el día festivo del almuerzo. Disfrutamos todo lo que pedimos!

OK, you hear "small, neighborhood, pizzeria, pasta" and yawn, right? If you're in Chelsea, love authentic Italian cooking, and are hungry, get in here. It's is really warm, welcoming, and from a fondness for alliteration, wonderful. There are a half dozen or more unique and flavorful pastas on the fresh daily menu, as well as excellent authentically Italian pizzas. There's a nice wine list and the host makes excellent Negroni - the king of cocktails. I'm fortunate a close family member moved into the neighborhood because we'll be back often. Highly recommended. Very small, so come early or call ahead.

We received a warm welcome, the choice of courses was original and the quality excellent. There was a good choice of sensibly priced wines and the service was efficient. This is a small restaurant which delivers consistent quality and deserves regular support.

I'm in Holiday with my family, i' ve eaten very very good, pizza, pasta were Amazing, like ITALY , also the staff was really good and a special compliment to the boss , is the best person, and Now i ' ve understand why is one of the best restaurant in London.

BEST PASTA EVER!! All of the pasta dishes are delicious and it’s all home made. The pizza dishes are also good. Only thing is the starter selection isn’t great.

Is 25 years that I moved to London and La Delizia is still going strong. Is always so nice to find the old places and not new things and of course La Delizia with its simple Italian menu is always a good choice: prices are reasonable for the area, service is ok and you can be in and out rather quickly...perfect for a quick stop! Great really.

Honestly, I can't believe I haven't written a review for La Delizia before now since we've been coming here for more than 10 years. The pizzas are all original, and each one has a story behind it. Just ask Michele the manager about the story behind "Sol" and "O' Femminiello" pizzas. Actually on the subject of O Femminiello it's one of our favourite pizzas when we fancy something a little lighter, because it's got chunks of mozzarella di bufala, rocket and cherry tomatoes on top. Easy to eat, and you don't feel 'stuffed' afterwards.

Small neighbourhood restaurant with possibly the worlds smallest kitchen. Very authentic, fantastic pizza, limited range of dishes but good enough to regularly attract quite a few local celebs I’m told. Great place to hang out for a drink and a light bite too
