Spaghetti House - Kensington High Street in Kensington and Chelsea

From the outside it doesn't look particularly inviting. But the food was very good and the staff was very friendly

Very nice time. Came here for authentic Italian, was not disappointed - yum! Wonderful waitress Sondi took wonderful care of us. Food was delicious, service was so friendly and would definitely come again and recommend. It’s a card only restaurant, but you can’t tip on card so remember to grab cash for a tip on the way!

Reservierung hat online gut geklappt. Das Restaurant liegt zentral nahe HighStreet Kensington Tube Station. Die Speisen (Spaghetti con Polpettine) waren gut und geschmackvoll. Der Service war durchschnittlich freundlich. Was ist mich störte, waren 13,5 % Cover Charge, die zusätzlich zur Rechnung hinzukamen. Für mich ist es ein Taschenspielertrick, anstatt vernünftig kalkulierte Preise zu nehmen. Dieses Lokal werde ich nicht wieder aufsuchen. Sorry.

Locale molto carino in un quartiere residenziale molto tranquillo e piacevole, personale gentile, soprattutto le due ragazze italiane che ci hanno accolto con molta simpatia, abbiamo ordinato due pizze ed un primo e devo dire che era tutto molto squisito, complimenti!

Un locale accoglie ed elegante, vero cibo italiano e di ottima qualità, porzioni molto abbondanti. Vero caffè espresso in tazzina!!! Loriana ci ha accolto con cortesia e cordialità. Un posto in cui ritornare. Grazie Loriana!

Had a fantastic meal with amazing service from Loriana, the manager, she made us feel super welcome like we were dining with old friends. Pizza dough was still raw, pasta was not to our taste and not really Italian. Service was very good. When we indicated that we were not going to eat the pizza anymore because it was raw. They came back and said it was done (the pizza was stuck to the plate), they asked if we wanted a free dessert. We wanted to leave immediately and we would get a discount. We received a 10% discount, which came to €4.00, but we did receive an additional €5.50 service charge. Slightly ripped off.

Superb experience! We came in as a last minute walk in since our booking at a different restaurant has fallen through. Our host Veronica went above and beyond to accommodate us and our dog. The food was excellent (try the linguine ai frutti di mare!) but the hospitality is second to none. Thanks for looking after us ❤️

came last night with my friends. the foh team were amazing. joy and sondy were so welcoming and friendly. the manager veronica was so enthusiastic. the drinks coming from charlie in the bar was fast and productive and very tasty. the food was ok not much to say about it. the pasta was dry .

Looking for a nice and friendly place to have dinner we « stumbled » into Spaghetti house totally by chance. A surprisingly nice and friendly atmosphere. Greeted by Charlie, attended then after by Joy, Who took time to make sure we were happy with our meal. And we were. The whole team very kind, smiling and attentive. A special thanks to Joy! Should we come back to London we certainly would return to the Spaghetti House!!

The food is amazing. Are here twice in the four days we were here in London. Lovely, cozy and intimate place.

We were in a hotel very close to it and ended up having dinner here for three nights. Overall very good and authentic Italian cuisine, most dishes we tried were very well prepared. The only things we don't recommend is their Arancini (they really need to improve on that), their Pepperoni pizza has only 1 slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza and lacks cheese as well (a bit disappointing), the Matriciana pasta with chilli was too spicy (and I usually can handle spicy really well). On the other hand, all the pasta is done with fresh pasta, their Carbonara sauce is pure perfection and very authentic to the original recipe, their Lasagna and the Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce are also very good. And the Capricciosa Pizza was excellent! All things considered, a very good and authentic experience, not expensive and that's why we came back a few times during the week. PS: Make sure to mention if you're in a hotel close and you get 10% discount.

Lovely pre-show meal with friends.

I was there with a group of 5 girls and we came across the Spaghetti House by chance during our London weekend. We had different pasta and once pizza. Everything tasted delicious, but the portions could have been a little larger.

Struck by the "Spaghetti house" sign, we stopped to eat in this delicious and comfortable Italian restaurant, made even more special by Lucio Dalla's voice in the background! Everything was delicious, the waitresses and the owner made us feel right at home! We'll be back! ....thanks again for the cake❤️

The food was lovely and staff were friendly. The ravioli (vegetarian one with no ricotta) was delicious! I forgot the actual name. We went again on the 9th of November 2024 in the late evening and we had ravioli di zucca with chestnuts. Amazing dish. Saute potatoes were divine. Chunky chips were great and garlic bread with no mozzarella cheese was good. 5/5 recommend this restaurant and the atmosphere is great.

Super leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Ohne Reservierung haben wir 2x problemlos einen Tisch für drei Personen bekommen. Preise zwischen 13 und 19 Pfund pro Hauptgericht eigentlich ok, könnte aber etwas mehr sein.

What a wonderful find! Charming, authentic Italian restaurant. The staff are delightful and the food is excellent. We had lasagne and pumpkin ravioli with chocolate temptation to finish. Icing on the cake was the speciality cocktail for Halloween. And the staff even decorated the restaurant for Halloween and were in full costume, too! Lovely to see a range of clientele - couples, groups and families - enchanting! Thank you!

Found this gem of a restaurant whilst looking for a last minute bite with friends and we had no reservations. Managed to get a table at the back near the kitchen (smells were incredible), staff were fantastic, really made you feel comfortable like you’re at home and really attentive. Food was fresh and hot, tasted excellent. Will definitely be back!

A fantastic little find before a show at the Royal Albert Hall - incredible food, great service with fantastic staff, attentive and provided great recommendations of food/drink and priced unbelievably fairly. Food is really good, of course a bit expensive but ok. Some of the personnel were not super super nice, but Maria was the best one. Always smiling and super sweet. Really clean place with a lot of tables.Recommended.

Our server, Joy, was super attentive, friendly, and pretty much awesome! He didn't just serve us but spent some time to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening meal. We had spaghetti Bolognese and a salad, pasta for two special served family style. The noodles were cooked just right, al dente, and there was more than enough for two people. We could not eat all the noodles even though we were quite hungry. The food was okay but the service was excellent! Thanks Joy.

A gem on a corner of the Kennsignton Palace grounds. Excellent food and great service at a reasonable (for Kennsignton) price. Definitely a “go back to” when we are in the area. Joy was our server. / Update: We went back and confirmed our original review in every respect.

We came into Spaghetti House without a reservation, and they made lovely efforts to seat us. When a reserved table became a no-show, they graciously offered us a more private table. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the flavors rich and vibrant, the service (our waiter was named Joy and he was attentive and warm) perfect. We completed our meal with the best tiramisu outside of Italy! This place is a gem!

Long time fan of spaghetti house and go multiple times per year when in London but not been for a while til this week. Food on this visit was almost as good as ever, although perhaps lacking a bit of salt. Service was arguably attentive in a way but came across too fussy and more we had the feeling of being constantly watched, which was quite uncomfortable. But what brought me to Spaghetti House in the first place years ago and kept me coming back was the authentic first/second generation Italian kitchen and waiting staff. I’ve even recommended the place to Italian visitors and they’ve loved it. This USP seems to have been lost, at least at this location so it’s unlikely I’ll be back.

We had amazing and lovely food with a really kind, smiley and enthusiastic waiter who was very understanding and gave us all of our food quickly. Would definitely recommend to other people - past was particularly tasty!!

Restaurant was busy, we had no reservations. The staff greeted us quickly and found us a table. Charlie was our server he made sure our food came out very fast. The staff paid good attention to our table as we ate. The food was prepared and presented well. We enjoyed a limoncello dessert on the house thanks to Charlie. Spaghetti house was a great end to our night!!!

As a traveler from the United States, I was eager to experience authentic Italian cuisine in London. Unfortunately, my visit to Spaghetti House was far from the pleasant dining experience I had hoped for. Arriving during a quiet period between lunch and dinner, I was surprised when it took over 10 minutes before anyone greeted or seated me, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Once I received a menu, I was left waiting again for a server to take my order, and I had to request my own water, which should have been offered immediately. I ordered the insalata di legumi as a side salad and the tagliatelle alla bolognese as my main dish. Both were served simultaneously, which isn’t ideal, and to make matters worse, the salad I received was a Caesar salad—not the insalata di legumi I had ordered. When I mentioned this to the server, who I later discovered was actually the manager, his indifferent response was to bring out a small plate of chickpeas and cherry tomatoes, failing to rectify the mistake or apologize for the inconvenience. When I inquired about the bread service, the manager (photo attached) told me to wait a moment. Several minutes later, he returned with a basket of bread but offered no explanation or description of what was included. The lack of communication, poor service, and indifferent attitude from the manager made the experience truly disappointing. Additionally, the pasta temperature was like warm at best. Overall, I do not recommend Spaghetti House-Kensington. There are surely friendlier and more attentive dining options elsewhere in London.

For a restaurant claiming to be Italian....I expect you can cook proper pasta al dente...and when observed to hostess...she remarked but it's barilla...please...of you are charging london high street prices..give a proper service....in a pasta restaurant...pasta cooked properly is a necessary and elementary requirement....Punto e Basta.

Very delicious food and made at home, but we were a little hot, I imagine it is because the place is somewhat small and the regulations do not allow them to have it colder but it is true that the excessive heat made us feel less comfortable. We were talking to the manager and she is super nice and they treated us incredible. In addition, the bus stop to continue the route through London is at the door. Despite the heat, it is highly recommended.

I went there for dinner on the first day of my family's visit to London, and it was kid-friendly and very nice. Since the yen is cheap, I was grateful to be able to enjoy casual Italian food in this location, atmosphere, and price range.

Dined here last year, food, service and atmosphere were superb, The restaurant was full to capacity, a real feel of Italy! We so enjoyed we booked a table for our visit to London this year. Different management, food not nearly so good and no atmosphere. Restaurant was nearly empty, young members of staff were polite and helpful. A female staff member, we presumed to be the manageress was rude, belligerent and most unpleasant. No chance of ever returning to Spaghetti House Kensington until it changes management or perhaps ownership....!!

It was very nice there. The waitresses were very friendly and always asked about the well-being of the guests. I found the food very tasty and would recommend anyone who is in London to eat there, it is highly recommended
