Great wee pub all the regulars are fantastic people love working there

Cute little spot in Portobello Road with great coffee but unfortunately not so great staff. We ordered a couple of coffees to sit in once we entered and the boy at the coffee machine told us to take a seat and wait for the coffee. After waiting and waiting and waiting, a bit of a stressed girl came to us and told us that we should have food too if we want to sit in. Obviously we weren't told otherwise we would have left. I understand with such a small place they want to make the most of it but there are ways and ways of talking to customers and that girl was pretty rude. Typical youngsters nowadays, entitled with no respect and customer service skills. Oh, and btw, she overcharged us on purpose I guess. I checked my credit card statement later on and shows £8.55 for 2 oat flat whites. Not sure how to explain the maths. Don't waste your money there, plenty of good coffee or brunch spots around!

Great food, service and mood. The setting is just perfect, and the food is otherwordly! The drinks were fresh and creative 10/10

Manager with yellow glasses is extremely rude and I had previously only met the other very kind employees. I wont be coming back here because of that guy which sucks because I love the cafe itself.

Great, fast, polite service! Buzzing atmosphere. Sat outside in the sun and had an enjoyable breakfast. Cappuccino was spot on and the blueberry crush is to die for.

Called in on the off chance for coffee and breakfast, lovely food, pricey but this is London, service okay, it was a busy time.

I love this cafe, the soup is just the best and vegan. 💞 My hubby loves the fish finger sandwich or eggs royale...The staff are all so lovely, attentive and just really good at their jobs 💞 Highly recommend this gem of a cafe and the rainbow 🌈 cake and coffee...Oh and did I mention...dog friendly 🦮💞

This cafe is located on the sunny side of Portobello Road and has a large outside seating area. This is its only advantage. The food is billed as "home-made" and is priced accordingly, but a large part of it is from the supermarket. The service is absolutely atrocious. Staff has no sense of a customer, treating you as if you've interrupted their day and not bothering to hide their irritation. This cafe hires whoever they can get and gives them no training. But they still charge a 12.5% service fee. Avoid.

It's OK, a busy local often with the horse racing on felt a little bit of a click at first though after a few times in sound pub. Decent music, staff will chat after they get to know you.

We had an excellent breakfast - the Shakshuka was the best I've had in years and the staff were super-friendly. Would highly recommend.

Very lovely omelettes and great coffee. Very nice staff and atmospheric space. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a visit.

Had a brilliant time watching the England v Scotland Rugby game, I was the only English guy in that day ,full of great people and good beer ,definitely going to call in again.

I was very disappointed as the service was very slow and I was absolutely appalled at the ridiculous price . A pot of tea and a jam dodger cost me £9.50 .i think this is absolutely exorbitant and it can in no way be justified!

Always very welcoming staff and delicious food , I’ve been here numerous times , it’s genuinely consistent in its quality. The coffee is excellent also , my favourite is a flat white! Today Eggs Benedict was fab today,

My friends brought me there and the owner was asking my friends to bring other younger people there. We are all over 30. She was wasted drunk. A breach of her licence. I don't drink. I walked in and she instantly demanded I leave as I don't have identification on me. I have reported her to the licencing board for being drunk at work.

2 times I had a very unpleasant experience with the staff when once they refused to serve coffees outside and second time smoking in front of the coffee shop did not serve at all. Very disappointing.

Fantastic lunch with friends sat out the front. The food is really great with ideal sized portions, not too big but not too small. Great variety of tasty options for brunch/lunch. Atmosphere is nicer on the street in our opinion.

Very good brunch, great atmosphere and pleasant and very helpful staff. Also good price compared to others. if we come back to London we will stay here again.

Food is nice but the let down was the service. Waited 30 mins for a small dish. Waiters unhelpful when queried how long it would be. Wouldnt come here again based on this experience.

Working locally, I popped in early one morning to buy a takeaway sandwich for lunch. As a vegetarian, a cheese and mushroom sandwich was suggested. It is my own fault that I wasn’t wearing glasses and could not see the menu properly. Had I realised it would cost £9.70 I would have declined. Yes, it was a sourdough bread sandwich and I know how much work goes into baking a loaf. But this still feels extreme for a takeaway.. Sadly, I doubt I’ll return.

I’ve been meaning to write this for a while. I work close by to Bluebelles so visited every day on my lunch break for about 2 weeks. I have so many good things to say about this place. I almost never write reviews but these guys deserve every letter of this one. In order of outstandingness - firstly the service is impeccable. God it’s so refreshing. Every person who works there actually seems like they want to be there, and every smile feels genuine. Rare. Very rare. I was always made to feel welcome and valued and it brightened up my days at work so much. Next - the cakes are DIVINE. REALLY. The carrot cake is probably the best I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried loads, trust me). Anddddd the chocolate and cherry cake comes a very close second. The rainbow toast is cheerful, fun and really nicely presented. I’ve been mixing things up lately and trying new places butttt the cakes and service absolutely do not match up. So I’ll be back in Bluebelles again soon!

The vibe is great! The music is awesome! The staff are very friendly, and have impressive memories considering our waiter didn’t write anything down and everything came back perfectly including all our add ons! Yummy food! The BEST drinks! The lattes here are so fluffy it’s unbelievable! The Ooh La La lived up and exceeded expectation!

Superb coffee and breakfast, great service also. Really enjoyed the bangers bap, and the green breakfast was really tasty, will definitely frequent this place!

A dying breed. A real community bar with local people who go to read the paper, watch the sport, chat to friends and enjoy a reasonably priced pint. Hard not to like.

Very friendly place to visit. I work night shifts occasionally and it opens at 7am to cater for night workers. Fantastic place to pop in for a pint after work on your way home.

Really like the Porty Bar.Local Bar where everybody know's everybody.
