Aubaine Brompton Cross in Kensington and Chelsea

Cosy place. With great vibe and nice service. The pancakes the staff recommended were great. Also the avocado toast.

If you want to have a really lovely lunch, perhaps after a trip to the V&A, as we did - book Aubaine in the Brompton Road - a ten minute walk. The food was terrific (not cheap but, hey, this is the West End 🤷🏼‍♀️) and lovely service and ambience. We both had the lobster salad - fabulous! - and the mille feulle pastry was to die for. Highly recommend as a delightful culinary experience.

The food was excellent and arrived very quickly after we ordered.

A short bus ride or walk from South Kensington. Lovely food, quiet for a Saturday evening, nice décor, pleasant waitress and toilets not up/downstairs for once!

Food good, a little salty for the sauce but well presented,colourful and good tasting

Our waitress was really friendly, and we enjoyed our brunch here, but this was mostly due to the sunny day and the people watching sat at the window. The coffee was nice. My truffle scrambled eggs were quite cold and the eggs weren’t seasoned. My friend enjoyed her French toast.

Had lunch here, nice salad but nothing amazing. I think a little on the pricey side, but probably due to the location. The service was excellent, prompt, efficient and courteous.

As soon as we arrived, on time, at the restaurant for our 9.15 booking, the waiter informed us that we had five minutes to order, as the kitchen was closing. Having said this, he walked off. When, he returned, with us, in a hurried manner, having ordered, we enquired why, if there was also a 9.30 slot, were we rushed, he gave a vague answer again about the kitchen. We ordered the Stilton/apricot tart as a starter, which was so badly presented…basically, a little half tart with a wedge of Stilton. No utensils for serving it. It was put like on would at a fast food place. Then came the prawn & lobster roll. Quite honestly, flavourless. It was basically poached lobster & prawn tossed in store bought mayonnaise, put in a bun. I ordered a chicken escalope with a side of sweet potato fries. I would have the say, those were the tastiest item that we got. Everything else looked and tasted like something one could pick up from any supermarket counter and have reheated. The waiter only returned when we managed to get his attention after a few tries. All this, considering we were the only patrons in the restaurant. He never came and asked us for refills of our drinks, nor if the food was okay or if we needed anything else. Extremely disappointing for a suppository high end restaurant.

Best French toast in london! It’s literally perfect

When booking I asked for a quiet table due to the fact I have slight deafness. We were given a lovely window table but half way through lunch a particularly loud party were seated next to us so for the rest of lunch we could not hear a thing. The food overall was very fresh, but despite our lovely waitresses warnings the mille-feville was a) not as pictured on the dessert menu and b) not correctly made. My partner and daughter were not impressed with their creme brullee’s ~ not enough vanilla and the custard very dense. Our waitress and the ambience outside the neighbouring noise were delightful and we hope to return for an impressive mille feuille!

Aubane has been at Brompton Cross for quite a long time now and I haven’t been there for many years but have a very good lunch there yesterday. Service was excellent

This is the by far the most welcoming place where to have a brunch it has been the same mgmt for the past 20 years and cannot get any better.

Great coffee and fresh pastries

Decided to meet a friend for breakfast at this charming restaurant, per her recommendation. From the warm welcome to the cozy atmosphere, it felt like stepping into a friend’s home. The omelette I ordered was simply delicious. If you’re in the mood for delicious food and a laid-back vibe, this is the spot for you. I’ll definitely be returning again.

We had a lovely brunch here. My eggs royale were delicious. I appreciated that they had a nice children’s menu with nice food. Service is a bit slow at brunch time. Not unpleasantly so, but if you are not in for a wait, then this is not the place. The prices were a bit on the high side for brunch, we paid just under £100 for brunch for two adults and two children each having one course.

We are regulars there with our daughter and our dog. The best part is the thoughtful and cheery service from the charming staff. Large windows let in a lot of light, and in the summer there is outdoor seating on the pavement. Good for breakfast, lunch and supper

We had a lovely late brunch midweek here. Yes, the French food is delicious, but the menu has many creative options. I opted for salmon with a yummy mixture of wild mushrooms, toasted sage leaves and cauliflower in a delicious red current vinaigrette. My husband had the Superfood salad, one of the best Mediterranean salads we have ever had. Our waiter had good wine recommendations. We have talked about our meal there even after getting home to the States. So many other menu items to try. Bravo, we will come back!

Atmosphere and food was outstanding but disappointed not to be told didn’t have wine ordered at the time and had to choose again. Disappointed with the Gavi de Gavi. Likewise, having wanted to order a starter then told they didn’t have it.

The service was so so lovely and the food was incredible ! The cocktail was to die for ! I'd give 10 stars if I could.

The reception was messy and bad. The old restaurant manager was not welcoming us in. I mean, if we were not there, we wouldn't have entered. He was impolite, his voice was loud, and he left the last table by the bathrooms, but I passed it in my mood.. We came to eat the main dishes. Everything was bad. The best thing was the fries 😁 Without exaggeration, everything was tasteless and bad. Flat white coffee is good, not burnt. Advice: Please do not believe the recommendations The price is high and they take a percentage on the bill for the service, and they do not deserve it. There is a waiter who I think is Indian. He was respectful and kind

We’ve been back twice in a week because the food is consistently good, and us and our baby daughter were always made to feel very welcomed and at home by Berat who was kind to us and accommodated every request. Highly recommended if you are in the Brompton area!

The pistachio & rose French toast is an exceptionally flavoursome variant of Aubaine’s already delicious French toast. As always, the service was very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is alway calm and relaxed, perfect for a Saturday morning brunch.

Aubain is a nice spot on the Kings Road. It’s popular with families and is noisy and slightly chaotic with children tottering around and mothers talking at the top of their voice as if they were at home. It’s dog friendly which is great. Service is good and food is tasty but on the frugal side.

Beautiful place. Nice food. Great option if you’re visiting the museums and want somewhere really lovely. However, if you want a table by the window make sure to ask in advance!! These seem to be reserved for special guests.

Worse meal ever! We usually eat at this restaurant when we visit London but never again. I ordered a lobster Caesar Salad. My wife ordered the Wagyu Sando. The lobster looked like a piece of dried rubber and tasted worse. My wife’s dish tasted strong to her and she asked me to try a bit. It was pure slime. I almost coked. We decided to pay and leave. We could not image ordering anything else. Really, I have never had a worse meal. We paid 75 pounds The best thing I could say about the experience is we did not get food poisoning.

Excellent plate of hot (that makes a change from many London locations that can't seem to get the temperature of food right) scrambled eggs and ham. But cold toast...and not very toasty toast at that, more baked in the oven toast .Why can't the French make toast ? A very expensive but good Americano (£4.50 !!!) brought a simple eggs and coffee breakfast to over £16. Ok if you are oil rich but a bit much even for locals. The atmosphere to some might seem "cosy" but I found it sombre and a wee bit depressing, in fact the place looked closed when first approached.A Feng shui expert could do wonders for the place.

My husband & I had a wonderful meal ahead of the Carol concert at the RAH (only a 15min walk away) The mushroom & truffle rigatoni was delicious as was the brioche mincemeat french toast dessert. Great service and a very attractive venue for a dinner. Will definitely be back.

We needed a promptly-served, light meal before an early evening event at the nearby V&A Museum. This proved the perfect choice. The food was very enjoyable and we had excellent service.

Stylish venue, attentive service, quality food, good value.

I really enjoyed the food however the service lacked a lot of sympathy. I was told there were no tables available (I could spot at least 4 available) and that I would have to sit outside if I wanted to eat. I told the manager I was pregnant and very tired but still he didn’t give in. I sat outside although it was very chilly, opened opentable and just as I suspected there was availability so I booked a table through the app… Went back inside showed them the reservation made in that same minute and oopsi they had to sit me down. Didn’t really appreciate the snobbish attitude from who I think was the manager, who acted as a superior with absolutely no need whatsoever. In the end he just looked daft and until the end of my meal there were free tables.

The only restaurant in the world where fried calamari and Spanish croquetas are so hot and spicy that were uneatable. Where did the chef learn to cook those simple dishes? That said, service was efficient and nice (waitress Christine was concerned). The place is nice. But the main item in a restaurant is food, isn’t it?

South Kensington 站 走路過去還好. avocado toast 用的麵包很難吃. 又乾又難吃. 新鮮柳橙汁不錯. 拿鐵的咖啡因含量超級高. 好喝. 但之後我有點咖啡因過量的噁心感. 法式吐司普普通通. 法國早餐三明治不錯. 這些食物的份量都小. 沙拉份量大. 下次想吃沙拉.

I don’t recommend having breakfast here at all. Try greenspeare on Walton road it is much better for the same price. The staff were very inattentive! I had to ask for my coffee twice. Bit of an attitude.

Got a salad Nicoise and a nice cocktail. The salad was quite generous and delicious!

We had breakfast there however the portion for the price was pretty pathetic. I know London is expensive and Chelsea is an expensive area but the is too much pomp and not much substance at this restaurant. Service was also very slow.

Very welcoming team, efficient and friendly table service and a very nice ambience. The lobster and spaghetti was absolutely delicious.
