Earls Court Tavern in Kensington and Chelsea

A pint an some pub grub, perfect.

Normal English breakfast, I was hoping for something better, but still acceptable

It was our last day in London and we decided to go for traditional fish n chips and steak&ale pie. Maybe they had an off day where nothing was going right for them. But at first we had to wipe the dirty table by ourselves. The food had ZERO seasoning, fish was overcooked, the pie was so cry and overcooked even fries where like dust. The good thing - the beer. But how can u ruin a beer from a bottle ? :)

I flew with friends to the Chelsea vs Legia Warszawa match and we couldn't buy tickets. We think we'll be able to watch it somewhere in the Pub, but they're all closed, only Chelsea Fans. And here it was open and you could watch it, drink a beer and eat a delicious burger. I recommend.

We came with my two friends to have a drink and eat. We are warmly welcomed by a first waitress (a brunette with curly hair), we ask her if it is possible to sit down to eat and have a drink, to which she replies yes. So we sit at a table and order from an application that must be downloaded via a QR code written on the table. It was also stated at the entrance to the pub that you can order directly at the counter. However, not speaking English very well we chose the other option. Please note that in both cases, you pay before receiving the food/drinks. Once the order has been placed, we wait amid music, good humor and enjoy the, at first glance, warm atmosphere of this pub. The drinks arrive served by the first waitress: 2 pints of beer and 1 of cider. The beers are nothing exceptional, the cider is pretty good. We take out the decks of cards while drinking our drinks and waiting for our dishes. After about thirty minutes, another waitress (short, short hair) comes to our table to bring us cutlery and sauces for our dishes. She then asks us for our identity cards to verify our majority. My friends had it in physical version but unfortunately for me I left it at the hotel. AND WHAT WAS MY MISTAKE I apologize and explain the situation to him, but show him on my phone (ID card + passport) Nothing to do, the lady doesn't even bother to look at the documents on my phone and asks for the physical version. She explains to me that it's the law here, it's her license, blah blah blah, basically it's either I have to bring her my physics card or she takes back my drink (half drunk) I still haven't grasped the logic but having already paid for all our food and drinks I had no choice but to abandon the evening I was spending with my friends to return to the hotel to bring this card back to him. On the way, my friends called me to tell me that the dishes had arrived and that the waitresses refused to keep mine warm until I got back. When I return from my trip, obviously, my dish is cold. The waitress comes back to check my menu and repeats her moral lesson to me, which I had understood well the first time. I explained to him as best I could that I understood the law but that we could still have been asked about it when the drinks were served to us. And at the very least she could have agreed to leave my dish warm until I came back. It is at this moment that this very unprofessional waitress allows herself to raise her voice at me with the sole argument that it is the law and that overall it is “eat and shut up”. My girlfriends and I were left speechless a little and so I started to eat my cold dish with not much appetite in the end... She still ended up coming back to take the plate from me and bring me a hot dish. Better initiative than the previous one but it’s still a shame given the waste. It would have been easier to leave the dish warm. Anyway, after this mishap I was finally able to eat, alone, but the dish was decent and plentiful. No pitfalls afterwards since we didn't order anything more. For the record, we looked at new customers nearby who had ordered alcoholic drinks, and their cards were not asked. So perhaps it is the fact that we are foreigners or simply a lot of flattery to make us think that we are 10 years younger, however we will not come back, and recommend to the next customers (especially tourists) to TAKE THEIR IDENTITY CARDS!

I do not know why this place has any good reviews. Having spend 5 days in London and having tried Indian, Italian, Thai and American food this was out chance to try English food. OMG it sucks at Earls Court Tavern. Very dry bread - in thick weird slices is used for sandwich (not toasted). Dumplings….not at all dumplings but some sort of bun. I could go on with the rest of the dishes. Waiting time for so called food was very long - there are many good restaurants in the areas - go somewhere else

Lovely, clean and warm pub. The food served is delicious and excellent value for money. I came back twice while staying in the area briefly for the food, atmosphere and quality of service. Visited on a Saturday night first - the place was full and only 2 staff on to feed and water the entire raucous pub. But the staff were extremely efficient, professional and warm despite the heavy workload. Special thanks to Virginia who was running the show. A real credit to the hospitality profession.

We are from the United States, but love coming to this UK pub! The food was amazing and with great flavor made fresh. Would definitely recommend this place to friends traveling overseas and would love to come again in our next visit.

After a rough day of travel, this was a nice place to sit, eat, and people watch. It's also close to the train station if your walking and there is a hotel nearby if you're on vacation and looking for a pub in walking distance for food. The baby Guinness was really good and the food decent. The service was also good.

The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. We ordered three small plates: chicken, jerk dumpling, and sausages. The sausages were overcooked to the point of being rubbery and inedible, likely due to excessive microwaving. The jerk dumpling lacked flavor, and the portion of chicken was so small that it barely contributed to the dish. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I would not order food again if this is the standard being served. I truly hope the quality improves, as the service was pleasant.

A really cool, maybe even too cool, pub. The food came really quickly. The nacho plate was a little disappointing in that it was completely cold. So Nachos were just put on a plate and sauces and cheese chips were sprinkled on top. I would have liked the portion to have been warm and the cheese melted on top of the nachos.

Magari abbiamo trovato una brutta serata ma le due cameriere sono state veramente poco accoglienti, neanche un saluto quando siamo entrati e questo non ha aiutato. Abbiamo aspettato il cibo per circa 40 minuti, forse per qualche problema in cucina (che può capitare) ma una volta servito non si sono neanche scusati. I piatti per essere a Londra erano nella media ma niente di eccezionale. Purtroppo non ci sentiamo di consigliarlo.

As a chef I love to try all cuisines the first time i came to your establishment the food was excellent 2 beef burgers the second time the beef burger was dry and the pie was amazing off night maybe i don't know what happened tonight but the food wasn't good steak sandwich i asked for medium rare the steak was like eating beef jerky tough as and the sandwich bread was not toasted and the steak was 5 small cubes with lettuce no cheese no tomato no egg no bacon crispy onions flavourless check your salad the dressing it isn't nice and the cheese toastie if your not going to put salt and pepper on the tables please season the food i would have said something but the waitress was busy at the bar and when she came she grabbed our plates and rushed of i said something but she didn't hear me I put a 3 star because not everything is bad and the atmosphere was amazing your pub is amazing but if you don't do the small things right you won't reach your full potential all the best

Stand in front of the bar for more than 10 mins and bartender purposely serve other customers who just walk in. Borderline racist. Response to your reply: From Penywern Rd, I walked past 3 other bars to try your Fish and Chips with all the good reviews. Go on, keep protecting your staff. Check your cctv mate, I came in around 6:15 today. Even better response. Keep it up local bar. 👍👍👍

The atmosphere was perfect—cozy yet lively, with great music that set the mood without being too loud. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

This was our first British pub experience and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent and they have created a forever fan in us of their sticky toffee pudding. Wow - worth the trip here just for that.
