Beaufort House in Kensington and Chelsea

Visited for the first time today and loved it. I had eggs benedict and my guest had chicken burger, both dishes were first class. 2 coffees each later we left very satisfied. Elegant decor, very comfortable seats and good service, I will come back for sure.

Terrible service. Booked a table for drinks for 4 people for birthday celebration. Sat for 25 minutes, during which time I approached the bar twice to order drinks and was told a waiter would come. Left without being served.

Fortunately we managed to find a table on this not very busy Friday night ( around 21:30 ) Enjoying our drinks ( Estrelia Pint , Estrelia Bottle and Virgin Mary ) Service is excellent as usual Highly recommended

We went for breakfast here and left £40 poorer and having to go get food somewhere else. - There was no coffee menu nor mention of coffee on the drinks menu so difficult to know what types of milks / syrups were offered. - We ordered poached eggs. The eggs came far too runny for our liking. We like a runny yolk but the yolk was freezing cold and there was runny white which was rather unappealing. - The toast was tiny, tasteless and cremated. Seemed extortionate to be charging over £10 when there wasn’t even toast the size of a slice of bread. - No offer of condiments Lots of better breakfast spots in the area.

I went in for a drink with my wife around 6pm. I asked for a non-alc beer but was told they don’t have any. A bit disappointing in this day and age. Ordered a n/a long drink and a cocktail at the bar. Bartender was really miserable and not at all welcoming. Cost should have been £21 but was nearer £24, so I asked what was the difference and was told it was a ‘service charge’ so I said I ordered at the bar and he said it was an extra cost to make the cocktail! I said surely that’s included in the price and his response was it wasn’t!! It’s a great looking venue on the corner of the KR but never seems busy, I think I know why now.

Lovely for kids bday parties. Food and service are good and the spaces are quiet large and safe for kids.

This was one of the worst afternoon tea experiences ever! We were not served with some of the items from the menu- what a humiliating experience! What was served was what looked like supermarket bought Mr Kipling and fairy cakes!! In addition to this, the bread was stale and there were hardly any vegan options. Poor service from a so-called prestigious venue like Beaufort House- I do not recommend afternoon tea as you will be disappointed. Look at the photos in this review and you can see the deserts we were served with!

The bar was lovely for late night drinks and the chandelier is stunning! We felt so relaxed listening to the DJ mixing house music. The staff brought our drinks over to the table which was kind, and the doorman was friendly.

Came in for drinks , staff was very welcoming especially Sebastian. Will come again

We had a lovely Saturday lunch. The place is beautiful with lots of atmosphere and it wasn't too busy. We had a really nice cotoletta with rucola, plum tomatoes and parmesan... it was light and delicious. The service was on point. Lovely place. I will definitely go back. 👍

It's not mind-blowing, but it delivers what one would expect. Sandwiches were pleasant in terms of filling for vegan option. Service could be better, there's no sense of anticipation of customers needs. No dairy free milk was offered for high tea, despite ordering a dairy free serving. The kitchen also seemed to be suffering a scone shortage the day we visited. It can be surprisingly difficult to find a private function space for afternoon tea and this provides that.

Very lovely location on kingsroad Chelsea, many restaurants and bars along the same road which has a nice ambience Friday and Saturday evening. Lovely friendly bouncers on the door who are polite during meet and greet. Service was impeccable, ran smoothly, and vert efficient. Great presentation with both food and beverages. Food is full of flavour and decent quantity too. Would 100% visit again and recommend!

Had a great time here with a excellent Christmas dinner party. Really enjoyed the positive energy of the place and especially the staff. Great food, nice wines and cocktails. Have been here serveral times before and will definetly come back again and again.

I used to love this place and people that were working here. I have never seen rude and disrespectful stuff ! I came along to have drinks and dinner and bartender ( name of course he refused to give ) in the pretext of a joke refused to give me a seat . He said you are single and therefore not having couple exclude you to stay with us . Excuse me ? Is this a joke ? Joke is when 2 parties find it entertaining- he clearly had a go at me for whatever his personal issues . Blatantly obvious this is passive aggressive behaviour. I do not know whether the manager is able to read that cause I was ignored in my request . Anyhow I hope he resolve his issues . Outrageous behaviour

Did not eat here but came in for some cocktails which I had sat at the bar. The atmosphere was great with lots of people out enjoying themselves. Would recommend if you like cocktails and maybe worth returning to try the food next time.

There a lots of small things wrong here which point to poor management. It isn't possible to book for brunch but you can book lunch at 11am which is just odd. It's hard to get staff at the moment, but once you have them, they need to be trained. You will get much better staff retention and engagement from a well trained team. Service definitely wasn't at all rude but it wasn't engaged and it wasn't professional. When we arrived the waitress shouted across the room that we could sit anywhere. Like a caff. No one took our coats. We ordered coffee, drinks, and breakfast. The food came first, and after a long delay and a word with the manager, the drinks. The coffee never materialised. On our table we had two salts. The next table had two peppers. One of the salts was empty. Classic signs of poor training and lack of attention to detail. Midway through our meal we were presented with another table's bill. We re-ordered the coffees which were then delivered to the table next to ours. As for the food, hard to go wrong with poached eggs on toast although the toast was just dried out bread and didn't come with butter. Butter eventually came in little foil packs like the ones you get in motorway service stations. Despite all these minor blunders, the manager didn't offer any form of apology or to take the service off the bill. There was no atmosphere, no warmth, no welcome or farewell despite there being almost as many staff as customers. Average/below average.

Needs an upgrade in both food and interior

Lovely corner tavern/eatery. Drinks affordable & staff very well trained & friendly. Pity loos are downstairs they could do with a disabled loo at ground level.

Fun, lively Brasseria type food.

Delightful place on the King’s Road. I spent a relaxing hour here reading and enjoying lunch. The food (octopus and glazed miso aubergine) was gorgeous and the service immaculate.

Horrible omlette! Overpriced, dry and tasteless. Ladies bathroom quite dirty. Nice overall interior but toilets need updating. There used to be a decent place and that's what we were hoping to see again. Won't be returning not recommending this place to my wealthy friends.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures this time. But the food was great as was the service. The beer costs the usual London £7 and the food costs a little more but it's ok.

The venue is nice enough but nothing impressive. Ordered an orange juice for £2.72 and it was cheap quality, tasted like Rubicon OJ. Expected better quality drink from such a venue and price.

Everything was ruined when the door staff started demanding us to “look after them”. They wanted us to pay them even though we booked a table - for letting us in when we were wearing shorts IN JULY. Disgusting behaviour. Just means myself and friend won’t return when we already pay a service charge on drinks. Silly really as they will lose customers very quickly looking for a quick £20.

Woefully average. The staff told a friend (who's very allergic to nuts) there weren't nuts on/in the food we had. They then proceeded to lay out a dish with finely sliced almonds on top. It was just very average and not at all worth it

Went here with family with a variety of ages (2, 5, 11, 13, adults, grandparents) for high tea. The service was impeccable. They offered off menu items for the younger kids, were flexible with timing, and professional surrounding some kid meltdowns. The treats were a hit with the kids and adults alike, the adults liked the champagne and coffee and the kids liked the tea and cocoa! Would recommend for a family friendly afternoon outing!

We had a fantastic lunch and Fayzah and Fairos were fantastic and provided brilliant service. I thoroughly recommend.

First of all, the service is important wherever you go, and Fairuz and Fayzah were very lovely people, they explained the whole menu to me and recommended me to try the chicken Roast, and they got it right! The service was great, the place is very well set up makes you want to spend an afternoon with your family. The decoration, his paintings call a lot the Attention. It is a place I would return to without a doubt, in addition, I would like to try the lamb roast, it looks very good. For me it's a 10/10 place Recommended!

Mediocre and overpriced food, staff also don’t ask you if you have any allergies when ordering which would be a nice touch. Place also looks a bit worn out. Finally, when they make any cocktails/smoothies barman blends everything at the bar area in the middle of the seating area which makes blender sound unbearable. Won’t be coming back.

Went for a pre planned event and was no non alcoholic beer. Pretty much every pub /bar in Chelsea caters to that need. Feels like this bar is a little behind the curve

Incredible vegetarian food and food selection. Loved the atmosphere too, would have loved to come back for dinner as it had a nice vibe. Great service too.

What a lovely place and nice hospitality!

We came here for a private function and have to say we had a really good evening. The canapés were the bright spot on the food front as the rest of the meal was poor. We played spot the crab and lobster on the salad and then had a very dry and tasteless Christmas roast. The chocolate pudding was ok but my expectations of the food by then was pretty low. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and the music was good.

PLEASE BEWARE!!! AS BAD AS IT GETS!! Having just held a private party here, I can categorically this is the worst event management and customer service we have EVER had the misfortune of experiencing, that has completely ruined our milestone event for us. Our gifts and items from the night remain unaccounted for, not to mention that we have proof that they were charging our guests all night for drinks even though we had put £5k behind the bar!! Where exactly did our money go??? Simon, who is as incompetent as directors come, has categorically refused to provide an itemised bill of the bar takings - and we have been met with complete indifference and told we are ‘too sensitive’ !?!?! Absolutely horrifying lack of accountability and professionalism that unfortunately has left us no choice but to make this a police matter!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this place like the plague - they completely lack integrity and will lie and gaslight at every opportunity to get away with their many misgivings.

We had our wedding reception and party upstairs. The whole thing from planning to tasting to the event was fantastic.

Too loud for dinner despite the fact they offer a three course menu - it's more of a drinks place. Many of the sides (for the mains) were cold so were sent back, and some of the pre-ordered puddings had mysteriously disappeared from the pre-order list so never came. The staff were very helpful and professional, and the food itself was good quality and presented nicely, but it wasn't quite the evening we'd hoped for. They did provide a comprehensive allergen sheet for the menu which was good.

Very crowded and no air conditioning

We celebrated our marriage (which had occurred earlier that day at the Chelsea Town Hall) here and we had an absolutely perfect afternoon. Raffaele looked after us and ensured that every detail of our day was attended to (my wife tells me he never let her glass drop below 3/4ths full!). It was the perfect vibe as we had asked them to section off an area for us down stairs, which was perfect as the weather held and it was a beautiful afternoon with the windows open and the breeze coming through. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options (both vegetarian and otherwise). We'll definitely be back!

Open from midday to 1am... weekends upstairs til 2am or 3am. A classy environment. Good for business meetings or a cheeky date.

Came here for a baby shower (they have bookable rooms upstairs) and had a great time. The staff were very food and make the day special.

Vorgesehen ist nur Kartenzahlung. Als Tourist, der mehr mit Bargeld unterwegs ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wir konnten aber am Ende doch Bar bezahlen. Ansonsten steht ist die Bar sehr gut weiterzuempfehlen

Attended private party last night, the bowl food was good however later then it meant. Extremely rude staff. Have asked barman to stop using his hand for adding fruit into drinks which he didn't like it and start pulling faces. Most of my coluages had similar experience

We held our son's 21st birthday party at beaufort House on Friday 25/02/22. The event was held on the first floor in the private room at Beaufort House, with pre dinner drinks & a 3 course meal served for 55 adults. The food was excellent, the service was terrific & the event was a resounding success. I'd thoroughly recommend the team at Beaufort house & the venue itself.

It maybe nice for a couple or small group to catchup and have drinks. Pricey and space was a squeeze. Club space starts quite late, music is not that upbeat. It is more of a private club vibe so cheesy fun then club fun! Oops, it is a private membership club...lol.

It is a pity I have to write this because the food is great but the service needs to be improved (even from the manager) and there is huge draft from the windows and the door which does not close properly. This really spoils the whole experience.

Nice vibe but very few seats at the bar to just grab a drink, so would recommend booking even if you're not eating. Cocktails are nice but basic (could recreate at home easily) so felt £16 was a bit overpriced.

This was one of the worst dining and social experiences in a long time. Our table was given away and we were then seated. right by the doors where it was cold. The doors separating us from the smoking area outside had a 1cm crack between them, so in addition to the cold, cigarette smoke blew in our faces all evening long. Lastly, the waiting staff were surly and moody. We had asked for a Diet Coke which never came. After the 4th time of asking we were told they had run out. When we made a lighthearted joke to say, 'how can you run out, it's like running out of air', the waiter said, 'you will run out of air if I do this', and simulated smothering me with a pillow. All in all, an awful experience.

Dear Augusta and The Beaufort House Team, I generally don’t write reviews but this one is special and I couldn’t wait to write. My whole experience with Beaufort House for our party on December 4th was way way more than I expected and I would give 200% credit to Patricia and her team who made the whole event an experience to remember. From the very start til the end the whole team were “ on the case” ( literally) and gone above and beyond to help me on the day. It was a team work throughout and Patricia literally took everything on her hands and managed the food drinks, set up , wind up anything and everything!! Even some of the parents said they have not seen such cooperative staff anywhere else in the area. Patricia literally eased my anxiety and made sure everything run smoothly,.. I was beyond impressed !! So helpful, extremely energetic, polite and super professional.,, this was Patricia on the day! We need more people like her in the world to make our days brighter! Also want to shout out Amanda who was super helpful and polite and always smiled with every request made! I want to Thank and shout out every single one on the day who helped with Dylan’s 6th birthday party!! What an experience with Beaufort House and we can’t wait to return to this place next year for yet another amazing experience!! Thank you so so much !! Love Deepti

Really nice place to go on a Sunday afternoon for food drink and a great atmosphere. The place was really busy which meant the food service was a little slower than we had hoped but it wasn't a major issue. Well worth the visit and best to book in advance to be sure of a table

Comida boa ambiente agradavel, atendimento excelente.

We were greeted by a very miserable doorman who made it clear he couldn’t be bothered to be there. Asked the barman if I could sit on a stool at the bar which was very quickly taken away from me by the bouncer who was clearing away the stools, even though there were many empty tables - clearly we weren’t good enough to sit on them. Apparently the bar only accepts cash if you have the exact amount, otherwise you don’t get any change - never heard anything like it! 2 cocktails were £34.05. Anyway, safe to say I will not be returning.
