We went there for the set menu brunch, so much food and a delicious cocktail for £59pp. We were very pleased with everything, the miso bread and the oysters were definitely the highlights but everything else was delicious too. Be careful with ordering any extras though because your bill will go very high very fast !

Thrilled to experience Frantzén in a new setting. Studio Frantzén in London delivers the same exceptional quality as the Stockholm flagship, but at just a third of the price. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the warm, attentive service made the meal even more enjoyable.

Beautiful food but front of house could do with some polishing up, confusion from staff given wrong drinks, a real shame when your waiter does the Caesar and doesn’t get your attention to watch him how it’s done because it was a beautiful salad, waitress had a attitude problem, but the food side of things were second to none fresh, seasoned and full of flavour!

Although this is a “rooftop” restaurant, you are only looking out over a corner of the building (because it’s not over the top floor), and the view is nothing to write home about. We shared the tartar appetizer, which was delicious, as was the “bread” - which is really 4 small croissants. My wife had the Sweden vs. Japan, which was interesting and tasty. They had ribeye on the menu instead of porterhouse, so I ordered medium rare. Came out too raw for me, so I sent it back. Another 5 min (same steak) on the grill brought it up to rare on my doneness scale. In any case, it was tough, with little marbling. I buy much better ribeye at my local grocery store. Spakling water was refreshing and tasteful. We had no alcohol. $250. Kinda steep, but the walk through Harrods is always entertaining.

Visited mid afternoon on a Monday. Great view from the balcony, we weren't in a rush, so we spent a good couple of hours enjoying our food. The scallops with hot sauce starter was amazing. Everything was just superb. The sauce the baby chicken came with was delicious. I didn't get the names of my waiter and waitress, but they were brilliant! I'll definitely be back, I loved it ☺️

The food is amazing especially the Sweden VS Japan beef main course and the lamb course. The laminated milk bread with miso butter is a wonderful start also. For the dessert the Madeline is a must try even you are full after all the dishes. Dario provide extremely good service for the night. The atmosphere is nice and everything goes so well this night. We are very happy to choose this place to celebrate our special day. Definitely gonna come again.

Amazing find on the rooftop of Harrods. Very relaxed atmosphere and service was also good. We ordered the whole chicken for 2 which was cooked to perfection, wasn't dry at all. The miso and butter emulsion took it to another level- strongly recommended. Sides were also great, especially the cloudberry glazed carrots. The desserts let us down a little. We ordered the cloudberry waffle with salted caramel and the smoked ice cream. The waffles were ok but I wasn't a fan of the smoked ice cream... The smokiness was REALLY strong. It was nice to try it, but not for me. In hindsight, I wish we hadn't ordered desserts. Overall, really enjoyed it and I will be returning!

Op de bovenste verdiepingen van het wereldberoemde warenhuis Harrods is deze bistro van de eveneens wereldberoemde chefkok Björn Frantzén gelegen. Wij bezochten dit restaurant voor een lunch! Na een prima ontvangst door de ontvangstdame worden we naar het restaurant gebracht. Opeens kom je in in een andere wereld terecht en heb je absoluut niet meer het gevoel je te bevinden in een groot warenhuis. Het restaurant is sfeervol en luxe ingericht en straalt klasse uit! Als aperitief bestellen wij een “Mandarijn en Yuzu mimosa”. Deze cocktail is erg lekker en wordt mooi gepresenteerd! Als bar bites bestellen wij hierbij het zalige brioche brood met miso-borage boter. Daarnaast nog 3 verschillende bereidingen van oester. De koude variant (“Zweeds”) met onder andere koolrabi is van goede kwaliteit en heeft een frisse smaakbeleving. De klassieke “Rockefeller oester” is geweldig lekker, net als de gegrilde oester met gerookte boter saus en haring kaviaar! Geweldig! Het genieten gaat verder bij de voorgerechten. Het vegetarische gerecht bestaat stracciatella di buffalo met groene asperges en erwtjes. Hierbij een dressing met gember en limoen wat het geheel de zomerse frisheid geeft! Lekker! De Scandinavische sashimi is verrukkelijk. Dit luxe gerecht bestaat uit kreeft, coquille, zalm en kingfish die allen van uitmuntende kwaliteit zijn. De forelkaviaar, komkommer en een iets te pittige emulsie van mierikswortel maken dit gerecht af. Als hoofdgerecht is de Caesar Salad zeer rijkelijk en erg lekker! De salade wordt aan de tafel bereidt, leuk! In een apart pannetje het garnituur van buikspek, parelhoen en croutons! De gegrilde tarbot is van uitstekende kwaliteit en wordt begeleid door een magnifieke beurre blanc saus met ansjovis en kaviaar. De compote van zoete ui onder de vis geeft mooi tegenwicht aan de ziltige saus en de kruidensalade maken het ogenschijnlijk simpele maar super lekkere gerecht af. Erbij bestellen wij nog een lekkere hasselback potato en broccollini met palingsaus, munt en Thaise basilicum! Lekker! We sluiten af met koffie en een digestief! Studio Frantzen is wat ons betreft een absolute aanrader en een topzaak! De entourage is mooi en luxe, de service uitstekend en het eten geweldig lekker. De keuken heeft een eigen stijl waarbij goede producten de basis vormen en waaraan Scandinavische of Aziatische accenten subtiel worden toegevoegd. Ook in het gebruik van servies is een eigen originele stijl herkenbaar. Dat eten in dit restaurant, in het bekendste warenhuis van Londen met een driesterren chef als supervisor een hoge prijs heeft is te verwachten en moet na een fantastische lunch maar niet over worden geklaagd.

Server Panyz had a bad attitude - coming to the table spilling our drinks no apologies offered- never came back to our table despite waiting more than 30 minutes for a lobster roll and a salad? I got up and asked where our food was he replied “ I’ll check “ then magically our food appears. Several tables seated after us had already received their orders. waited for the check and realized Panyz wasn’t coming back so had to ask another employee for our check. Definitely gave the experience a negative vibe also received dirty silverware -

Studio Frantzen is part of a group that among other run a 3 star restaurant in Sweden. That knowledge made me expect a really nice meal. Sadly, the food was ok but really not worth the hefty price and was not memorable. Friday early evening dinner and the guests were outnumbered by the staff. Service was good and attentive. But the almost empty restaurant didn't create a nice ambience. I have been wanting to come here and so disappointed that I don't want to come back for another meal. I might come for a drink at the rooftop bar that had an amazing view. I loved the bespoke Mora knives.

Rooftop venue is great. Service is very slick and good. but food is average. Started with the straciatella asparagus. It was okay but nothing special. If anything a little to greasy and not great flavours. Could have made more of the pea and asparagus and mint? Miso baby chicken was dull and could have been made more of. accom[anying salad and broccoli were okay. Food was served barely warm.

Ambience: the terrace is nice but the downstairs area has no windows and feels a bit gloomy. Food/beverage. The cocktail presentation was excellent - taste average. The food has some excellent dishes but the lobster roll has very little meat and there is a lot of bread/brioche served in general rather than proteins. Service: poor. We had to wait 10min past the reservation time and we had one great server covering too many tables (he looked stressed). First dish came after 35min. Value: the experience was fine but didn’t really deliver relative to price. Considering the reputation of bjorn Frantzén, the experience didn’t really deliver

Da wir das "alte" Frantzen in Stockholm kannten, entschieden wir uns für einen Besuch im "Harrods" in London. Die Athmosphäre ist nordisch inspiriert und die Bedienung zuvorkommend. Da wir früh waren, durften wir unseren Tisch noch aussuchen. Während dem Besuch sollte mindestens kurz auf der Terrasse die Aussicht über London angeschaut werden. Die Qualität der Gerichte entspricht dem Namen des Gastgebers. Alle Speisen sind asiatisch-inspirierte Nordic-Cuisine. Was zwar seinen Preis hat, jedoch ihn auch wert ist. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.

Had the opportunity to try the Studio Brunch this Sunday and left with mixed feelings. We were invited to a soft launch so we didn’t pay the full price which is 59pp normally. Got there and we were sat inside the restaurant so I can’t comment on the vibe in the rooftop but went up at some point to check it out and couldn’t see any live music playing. Maybe it was due to being a soft launch, not sure. The food a bit of a let down and the main reason why I wouldn’t pay the full price. The bread with miso butter is delicious and well worth the individual price but everything else was very average. Specially disappointed by the lobster roll which was lacking flavour and the bread was quite dry. Overall, it was ok for what we paid, mostly having in mind that the brunch includes a cocktail but I don’t think it grants 59pp and there are much better places to go for that budget.

Swedish restaurant, coffee shop and lounge located in Harrods. To be honest, I tried their famous coffee and sweets, which are considered the most famous in Sweden. The dessert is (similar to a madeleine cake served with powdered sugar) served hot and delicious. Crazy 😍 and the coffee is perfect The most beautiful thing is the treatment of the staff, especially Margaret 👌🏻❤️ Her treatment is wonderful and very sophisticated. The restaurant requires reservations. The sessions are fantastic, especially the one on the terrace (outdoor seating on the roof of Hardwoods with a stunning view) Prices are high It is worth it if you try only coffee

What a shame! The food is great, however the inclusion of a mandatory “cover charge” on top of the optional service charge and the claim that it is “always like this in London and is to pay for the use of the napkins” is not true and a disgrace. Quite a sad approach to hospitality.

We visited for a dinner on a Friday evening. It is a beautifully set up restaurant although it is huge as well, which made the lack of other guests very noticeable. For much of our meal there were no other diners in sight. Afterwards we did check out the (heated) rooftop terrace which was slightly busier, included views of London Eye and the Shard, and looked like a great spot for summer months. We were seated in a booth in the main section of the restaurant with a partial view of the open kitchen. The two of us ordered the warm bread, scallop and poached lobster to start, followed by the turbot and “Sweden vs Japan” (brisket and Wagyu steak) for mains, with the fried potato, rice and broccoli as sides. For dessert we tried the cherry & waffles. The food ranged from decent to excellent, depending on the dish. Standouts were the bread, potato and surprisingly the broccoli which came in a strange sounding but delicious eel sauce. The headline Sweden vs Japan was also a standout dish. I just wished the steak component was bigger (it’s a 280g dish, but brisket accounted for probably 200g or so). The cherry & waffle dessert was quite unique but I wasn’t convinced by the flavour combination. The waffle by itself was very good though. Service was another strong point, although perhaps not a surprise given the place was almost empty. Our primary server was very friendly and attentive, and we enjoyed our interactions with him. Food was delivered at a speedy pace, which is our preference. The bill for our meal came to £263 without any alcoholic drinks. This felt fair given the plush surroundings and quality of food and service. Overall a solid meal with some memorable dishes that I would gladly come back to try out again in future.

It felt like a perfect place to sit down and have a restful drink after walking around the shops. The timber lined interior and low lighting gives the bar a great ambience. The signature cocktails were refreshing. I couldn’t resist a nibble and really enjoyed the waffle- bit sweet for me but I wolfed it down in minutes. The restaurant is just upstairs, on the sunny terrace. I shall come back in the summer.

After wandering through te streets of London, this is the place to recharge. The ambiance and welcome by the staff is just perfect. The food, champagne and wine are so wonderful tasty. You really do feel being on top of the world in beautiful Harrods. We really do love this place!

Alert - eat oysters AT STUDIO FRANTZEN ROOFTOP if you want food poisoning! Dec 25, 2023 - x-mas lunch with family. 6 people. 3 people ate the oysters and 3 got violently ill. After we complained to Stdio Frantzen, we were handed over to customer service…Harrod’s brilliant compensation offer - free champagne and oysters on next trip. After refusing, Harrod’s quickly wrapped up their ‘in depth internal investigation’. All their processes and supplier mgt are perfect and no fault on their end. And since we were not hospitalised they deemed the whole incident not worth pursuing. They were rude and could not care less, hiding behind bureaucracy. Surprising to be treated that way after more than a decade as loyalty programme members of Harrod’s. The Studio Frantzen rooftop is a lovely place, just do not eat there - clearly the new owners seem to put profits above customers… not a smart move.

The restaurant has a pleasant view, but I would advise against ordering oysters unless they are guaranteed fresh. My husband, our guest lady, and I had a terrible experience after consuming oysters there. We all became sick and suffered through a dreadful night. I contacted the restaurant to inform them and expected them to take responsibility, but their response was unsatisfactory. They initially suggested inviting us back for more oysters and champagne, which was not the resolution we were looking for after such an unpleasant ordeal. Harrods took nearly a month to address the issue and ultimately refused to offer any compensation or make an effort to regain our trust. They claimed their oysters are of the "highest quality" and demanded medical documentation to prove our illness. This is extremely disappointing considering the prestigious reputation of Harrods as a luxury department store and their restaurant. It seems that Harrods' focus on customer service has significantly declined.

Was tipped off by a staff member from Harrods as we walked and admired surreal abnormally expensive things around ;-) Came up to the roof top part and met a super nice staff (Miro) and he recommended me a good drink with lychee and prosecco in it. We had a New Year celebration at the place. It was awful, we are regretting choosing this restaurant. In particular we didn’t like the service, the food was average. They delayed the table for one hour, didn’t bring champagne on time for the actual new year, asked to close the bill 5 minutes before the fireworks, tried to charge the full bill without deducting the deposit. When I came back to the table after the fireworks my dessert was gone. It was stressful, disorganised and unpleasant experience. Staffing was unhelpful and unfriendly. It definitely didn’t match the standard of Harrods. We were expecting to receive the same level of outstanding service we used to elsewhere in Harrods.

The Fork didn’t post my review properly, so here goes my second attempt! We went for a birthday meal, and it was a really special evening. Burcin and Roberto took pre-orders from us to make sure we would get served before the kitchen closed, and when the concert we were at overran, they gave us an extra five minutes to make our way. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated in a lovely corner booth. The room is beautiful, and the atmosphere and the acoustics are excellent (we’re nerdy about this stuff). The food was to die for! We had the grilled oysters and the sashimi, which were both exceptional, and the salmon and the lamb mains were equally as delicious, as well as the charred broccolini. The madeleines and the yuzu sorbet not only looked gorgeous but were sublime! To top it all off, they brought us the most scrumptious in-house birthday cake, which knocked us over. We can’t wait to return and to recommend it for big or small special occasions!

Not impressed with this establishment. We just had desserts and hot beverages. Presentation of food was very lacklustre. So called madeleines were so tiny and just placed in a bowl with a massive amount of caster sugar and were tasteless. We had halibut and salmon as mains and scallops as starter. All dishes were so salty so they were almost impossible to eat. My partner returned her dish as not edible, but we still have to pay full price. As being Scandinavian myself I do not agree with the chef's/waitress explanation that this is regular saltiness in Scandinavian cuisine. Absolutely ridiculous comment. Spending almost £150 on a dinner that was supposed to be a positive experience and ended up in leaving hungry is very disappointing indeed. On a high end restaurant you would expect to get some bread before the dishes but not. The only reason I rate service 1 is because nothing was deducted from the bill.

I came here for lunch and intial service was acceptable, I ordered the baby chicken with rice and it was delicious. I asked the asian waitress for some help but she walked past and indicated she would come back but didn't I asked the waiter who cleared by plates for a top up of water and the dessert menu but he didn't do either. The staff should be trained better in this restaurant.

A beautiful space on top of Harrod's. A fun menu mixing different foods and flavors to perfection. The salads are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to enjoy eating. The fish is delicate and delicious. The Barata was creamy and surprisingly well presented with fresh bread and sea salt. Don't miss the rooftop terrace on the 6th floor with drinks, snacks and views.

After shopping at Harrod’s, My Lady wanted to eat. We stumbled upon Studio Frantzen. When asked, we were told that the cuisine was a fusion of Swiss and Japanese cooking. We were very pleased with what we ate. We had cocktails, the laminated bread, ribeye, braised greens, lime tart, etc. Everything was ‘pleasingly different’ from what we experience in the USA.(Note that the steak is not seared like is customary in upscale steakhouses in the US.) Service was more than acceptable and a gratuity of 12.5% was automatically added to the check. We would eat there again without hesitation.

We went for Lunch to Studio Franzen to celebrate a friends 60th Birthday.....we were sat on the beautiful outside terrace in the sun on a warm September day and it couldn't have been more perfect.....we shared some of their fabulous laminated milk bread with blond miso butter and borage honey, this bread was both soft and crispy on the top like a croissant absolutely delicious along with some chilled Crudites served with a yuzu ranch dressing which was soo good you could have drunk it, the cold poached lobster salad was also a huge hit I had the veal tartare which was very nice but there was something very crunchy in it that I later found out was mustard seeds, mustard seeds are an allergen and it didn't see any notification of this on the menu....for mains a couple of the ladies shared the roast chicken with miso beurre blanc, for me this looked a tad boring it was presented as a whole chicken portioned and the sauce on the side, the ladies enjoyed it but it seemed a bit plain and was served with nothing else....I had the turbot with butter sauce, however the very sweet stewed onions overpowered the delicate sauce and wasn't enjoyable....we had the hasselback potatoes which were very good and some charred broccolini we didn't have any desserts just some warm madeleines which were very nice....I don't know how much the bill was because our friend very kindly paid it.....result. the service was a bit hit and miss, but we had a thoroughly enjoyable different lunch and I would definitely return.......

We went there for a post bday treat and we were blown away by the food and the service. Everything was utterly delicious from the carpacio till the perfectly cooked steak.Every bite was a tasting experience neitherless to say one of the best restaurant in London with a stunning terrace view.Service was exceptional and personalized.we would definitely come back for another treat.

Jag och min kompis hade en fantastisk upplevelse på studio frantzen, restaurangen var jätte fin men vi åt uppe på terassen, där var det en dj som spelade härlig lounge musik och personalen fick oss att känna oss sedda och speciella. Maten var otrolig, jag skrattade mig igenom rätterna, ostronen och tonfisktartaren fick 10/10. Restaurang chefen Robin hjälpte oss att matcha vin med maträtterna också. Tack för en fin kväll!

I loved every dish we had; the oysters were out of this world delicious, the cocktails were perfectly executed, the milk bread - couldn’t stop myself from eating it, the chicken and steak - superbly cooked! Finished lightly with the madeleines, literally melting in my mouth! So, I casually found this bar while I was at Harrods. I was seated at the bar because the whole space was full but that turned out to be a good thing as I had a lovely time. I sat on the bar and was taken care of by Michael, had a great signature cocktail, the helan gar. Absolutely delicious, the best take on a margarita that I’ve had in a long time. Halleluja was für ein toller Ort. Neben dem unfassbar schönen Design gibt es im unteren Geschoss einen sehr schicken Restaurantraum und eine Bar. In der Etage darüber gibt es eine Rooftop Terrace mit einem tollen Blick. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken ist wirklich toll. Der Service ist ultraprofessionell und sehr freundlich. Wenn man seine Ehefrau beeindrucken will, dann muss man hierher.

Our recent visit to Studio Frantzen truly exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, with the staff displaying remarkable professionalism, attentiveness, and excellent knowledge of the menu, which only heightened our dining experience. The drinks offered a symphony of refined and balanced flavours, a testament to the skilful hands behind the bar. Each cocktail was not merely served, but expertly executed, demonstrating a mastery of mixology that delighted and surprised us in equal measure. However, the highlight of the evening had to be the grilled oysters. To say that they were delicious would be an understatement. The oysters were truly a culinary tour de force - succulent, perfectly charred, and so bursting with flavour that each mouthful transported us to a briny oceanside. Without a doubt, they were the best we’ve ever sampled at a bar in London. Complementing the exceptional food and drinks was the cosy and warm ambiance of the restaurant, amplified by the view which afforded us a splendid sight. In conclusion, our dining experience at the Frantzen was nothing short of stellar. The perfect blend of exquisite flavours, immaculate service, and a comfortable setting makes it an unmissable destination for any food lover in London. Great surprise on the rooftop of Harrods. Did not expect the food to be as elegant and beautifully prepared. We had the caesar salad and salmon tataki. Beth were full of complex flavors and beautifully served. I will say they were both very very large portions. The guinea fowl was tender and juicy. The salmon was seared on the outside but cold on the inside which was perfect. We finished with a lime tart which had a beautiful crust and was tart and creamy. The outdoor space was lovely and relaxing.

I have used The Eagle for over 2 years and this pub caters for a mix of clientele. Staff are friendly and I enjoy my chats with them at the bar. I get to watch sport and also enjoy the ambience of being in a pub. Some seating outside which is nice in the good weather.

A great place to relax after a hectic visit to the Natural History Museum (5 minute walk away). We were slightly apprehensive as it is an expensive lunch option, but it was so much fun for a treat. I would consider myself an experienced afternoon tea-er and the food and drink offerings were all delicious and well thought out. Refills on food and drinks were abundant if required and the children also got to trial the homemade ice cream (amazing). The staff were all so friendly, particularly our main server who made it even more of an experience. Our 8 year old was thrilled to perform the science experiments! Definitely recommend for children and those who are young at heart!
