I've been many times and the food is always consistently excellent. Perfect for a quick stop or to spend an hour or so catching up with friends. I recommend the smoothies and juices too! Quick service, great quality food and always service with a smile.
This was a surprise find. I was actually on my way to a well known noodle restaurant when I came across this little beauty! Spent many happy hours at the OB in Cape town down at the V &A and having checked it was the same chain. I went in!
For a Monday it was busy - yes they had an offer on - but I did notice that most people were eating the platters. Very friendly staff, very nice vibe, not too noisy but busy enough to make it enjoyable.
Food came freshly cooked, really tasty and thoroughly enjoyable.
I had the fried haddock and fries, with a side of grilled veg. Really good value for money and amazing.
Would definitely would recommend!
My friends and I went to the Wheatsheaf for the Christmas lunch. I'm gluten intolerant so I phoned the restaurant beforehand to tell them, they said to put on our order form that I was gluten free. When we arrived they offered me a choice of soup, either tomato or vegetable. I had the chicken in white wine sauce and then sticky toffee pudding. The food was absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time.
A super gorgeous place for cappuccino and carrot cake!!! Very polite staff, speedy service, exceptionally clean , can easily seat up to 40! Guests. Average prices
I went there with my 2 daughters for a nice meal! Well it was far from it , I had a king prawn puri which turned out to be pieces of fat not resembling a prawn! Because I was hungry I went safe by ordering a chicken tikka but the chicken was like rubber and my daughters dishes was the same and they was even apologetic I will never set foot in there again absolute dog sh_t
Been many times, good food for the price. I’ve had better but paid more than double! It’s close to work and we use it often. The spice is nice and hot, I ask for Vindaloo style at some places and it comes like a korma! You won’t be disappointed here👍
We had brunch here on Saturday. Overall it was a good experience. The staff were friendly. It is a very small place so luckily we had booked a table. When I ordered I wasn't informed they had run out of kale (in the protein bowl) so would probably have chosen something different if I had known (they did offer me a free coffee to compensate in the end).
Very overpriced - I paid £5.20 for a cup for vanilla pretzel pieces.
They tasted as expected and were warm which as a plus, but I don’t think they are worth the price. Probably wouldn’t buy again but was a nice one off treat.
Ordered a takeaway, portion sizes very small, not enough rice to go between 4 people. Luke warm upon arrival. BBQ sauce looked and tasted like water. Chips bag was so soggy it split and chips spilt into carrier bag
Hard-working little local take-away business, which has fed the local community and passers-by for many years! Always opened, serving delicious food, all freshly cooked. Always adding extras into the order, such as prawn crackers, drinks or extra rice or noodles. Very efficient and friendly staff. Beautiful and delicious take-away food.
No need to talk about atmosphere as it’s not a sit-in restaurant. It’s clean, light and there is always a TV on to entertain the waiting customer.
Food arrives quick, freshly cooked, deliciously hot, and the aroma is irresistible.

Quite possibly one of the rudest gentlemen I have ever met! Myself and a friend popped in for a coffee and a bite to eat. Whilst my friend was in the queue ready to order I attempted to nip to the toilet where I was confronted by a gentleman (possibly the owner) who abruptly “told me off” for not asking to use the toilet and that I was rude and had no manners. Hasten to say myself and my fiend quickly left the NEVER to return. Shocked to have been spoken to it that manner to say the least!
Such a lovely chicken burger, marinated to keep it juicy and grilled to perfection. The waitress even remembered us from our previous visit two weeks earlier! Reasonable price, friendly service.
My wife and I went for afternoon tea. I booked well in advance on a booking web site and requested a specific table which hasn't been a problem previoulsy. I called the hotel a few days prior to our visit to confirm they had us in the diary.
On arrival people were at the table we had booked so we were seated elsewhere. Our table request was on the system but apparently ignored. There were reserved signs on other tables.
When the sandwich and cake stand was brought out there were cakes on the top plate, sandwiches on the bottom plate and cream and jam on the middle plate. We only noticed this after the waiter had gone. I then had to check if the scones had been forgotten, but apprently not. You have to tell them when you are ready for the scones but they didn't inform us of that.
There was no sugar on the table so with no staff visible I had to go to the bar and request it.
We were asked if we wanted more drinks so my wife requested peppermint tea. Approx. 10 minutes later I had to go to the bar again and remind them.
When it came to wanting the bill there were no staff visible so we went to the bar to pay as we were leaving.
There was no obvious shortage of staff but there are areas of the restaurant that are out of sight of the bar where the staff seem to congregate.
In my humble opinion the place just needs better managing with attention being given to the little details that make for good customer service.
Hoping for a smoother landing next time.
Wow I visited Daisy Grey cafe for the first time and I can say they serve the best coffee although for a small cup it was expensive but the staff and atmosphere plus very very clean.
