I've been many times and the food is always consistently excellent. Perfect for a quick stop or to spend an hour or so catching up with friends. I recommend the smoothies and juices too! Quick service, great quality food and always service with a smile.

I popped in as I happened to be in the area, super hungry and with a craving for a jacket potato. To be honest the appearance of the place didn't make me excited but it was in a convenient location. The service was extremely efficient, not especially friendly but I was fine with efficient. I was really impressed with the quality of the food, my meal was delicious. The value for money was pretty good as well. I would definitely return if I was in the area again. The toilets could have done with more frequent checking but this may just be one person who had gone in ahead of me as it did not look remotely like long term issues.

Having ordered, my coffee arrived and was perched half on the table. No reason for this. The waiter appeared indifferent and then flounced off. I purposely left it like that pending arrival of my food or it being knocked to the floor. The waiter arrived with the food, oblivious, and off he went! What an odd place.

Beautiful food...fairly priced...fair portions. Good size menu with something for everyone. It's a family run business so nothing is ever to much trouble for them. They also have a kids menu and small desert menu

A lovely roast dinner finished off with a syrup sponge pudding and cream. Not fancy food but a good size portion, very good value and good quality. My only negative is the sullen waitress. She made us feel like we were an inconvenience!

Don’t waste your money !!! Disgusting food , asked for chicken kebab rice and salad ! It came flat pieces of fried chicken on over cooked cold rice and handfall of tired salad ! Thought the chicken would of had whole through it as it’s a kebab and grilled ? No it was the smallest pieces of deep fried chicken 🤮 dreadful , never will go back !! Watery salad , not even a slice of cucumber, two tiny quarters !!

Food is great quality, the chef is top notch. Owner is a gentlemen, always polite and helpful. Me and mum always pop in for lunch when we visit Orpington.

Busy with only one waitress serving, ordered drinks first and had to ask again before we got them. After we ordered our food we waited over half an hour with people that came in after us receiving their food before us. Then the other 3 people I was with got their food while I still waited for a cheese toastie, when I asked where it was I was rudely told that the sandwich had to be toasted!! The spaghetti bolonase came dry and bland, when my friend asked for sauce they took it and put water on it, he couldn't eat it. Owner was rude when we went to pay and tried to charge for 2 drinks because we asked for one to be warmed up as it got cold before food arrived. One less place to eat.

I really love to come this restaurant because the ladies ( waitress she has a long hair) I really like her she’s so kind and she has a very nice hair she’s so beautiful :) I’m coming because of her!!

The waitress was rude yet again , this is the 3rd I have visited with this waitress, never again . We ordered tea and toast , she said is that it , as she walked away , no please , no thank you . Never going back , such a shame , the other 2 waitresses who used to work there were friendly and polite .

I ordered a coffee and waitress said “and what else”. I said I will look at the menu. Then I was thrown the bill, waitress was really rude and ignorant. Never will I go again.

Popped in here at lunchtime for a quick snack. Three different groups walked in after me and got served. I waited 15 minutes and walked out. Never again and they weren't even busy

Good coffee, quality breakfasts, nice sandwiches and fair prices. Can be quite busy - because its pretty good. We all enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches here

My sister and I met our cousin for coffee here. My cappuccino was fine although a little strong and I had to ask for extra milk. We came back for lunch because we were going to the Vue Bromley and wanted somewhere nearby. (I’d never been to the Vue so didn’t know there are restaurants right next to it). My sister had a tuna mayonnaise sandwich with a little bit of salad and I had an omelette with chips and peas. My sister said the sandwich was fine. My lunch wasn’t so great. It came with a little salad which wasn’t mentioned on the menu but I couldn’t eat it as I don’t like tomato. The peas were very average and I didn’t eat them. The chips were okayish. My cheese and mushroom omelette (extra for the mushrooms) was not very good. It was really well done - brown all over on the outside and a little rubbbery. Service was reasonable. There were lots of seats and it’s near Bromley South station. In conclusion, I’d come here for coffee again but not for lunch unless I was just having a sandwich.

I have been going to the Olive Tree for a while now and have always been impressed with the food and staff. Recently I have changed jobs and work shifts and have more opportunity to pop in on my way to work. The home cooked food is excellent along with the traditional breakfasts. The food is very good value and more than generous size portions. The jewel in the crown is Angela who greets every customer with a smile and makes you feel welcome with her outstanding service. The cafe is always very clean and well kept. Definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed!

Hubby and I visited this cafe this morning with our son and his girlfriend for my son's birthday. We don't normally eat out for breakfast but it was my son's choice. Very clean and tidy with tables well spaced out. Very nice young lady served...

Lovely fresh breakfast. So much food on our plates. Any combination of food. My husband loves tinned tomatoes and they have both choices here. The price is so reasonable.

Ama los lugares como este. Enorme porción, menú completo servido todo el día, puede cenar para el desayuno o postre para el almuerzo; Servicio rápido, sin pretensiones y gran valor. Sabrosa, tortilla caliente, papas fritas y frijoles, ¡y siento que no necesito comer durante una semana! Todo por debajo de un fiver con un capuchino grande para arrancar!

Great breakfast. Someone knows how to do scrambled eggs!!! Staff are wonderful. Helpful, but not intrusive. Very clean and spacious. Will be coming back

The best big breakfast around. I have been here 5 times now every time the service is prompt and friendly. The food is excellent too with good size portions. Recommend the big breakfast every time but you need a big appetite to eat it all

Came here on a sunday with my family for lunch. Chose our table and it was filthy. Waited 5 minutes to catch the waitress's attention to come and wipe it. I couldn't put my bag down by my feet as there were 3 chips on the floor from the previous diners but the waitress didn't seem to notice that. Food was really tasty and good value for money. We asked for mustard but didn't get any so had to ask again 5 minutes later. Waitress eventually brought over a grubby old jar of mustard with a tea spoon in that looked like everyone had used it. Surely you'd pour some out into a little clean pot?

Good quality food, resonable prices, not stingy on portion sizes. staff friendly, whole place very clean. plenty of space as i take elderly person with wheelchair in.

My first and last visit. The staff all very sullen looking, no pleasantries, no hello, no smiles, quite unwelcoming. My little one wanted a sandwich but they had no child sandwiches on the menu. I asked if they could make a child sized sandwich and was told a straight no. Not "I see what we can do" just a flat no. So I ordered my little one a regular sandwich (cheese and ham). The food when it arrived was very bland, the ham was the cheapest stuff you can buy, almost like plastic. I checked my bill and noticed they charged me £3.80 for the cheese and ham sandwich which was made with two regular slices of bread so nothing special. I looked at the menu and a cheese sandwich was £2.40 and a ham sandwich was £2.80 (no ham and cheese option on the menu). I asked the waiter why it was £3.80 and was told cheese was £1 extra. No mention of this on the menu. I pointed out that cheese sandwich was £2.40 so why not £3.40 and he replied that ham was £2.40 extra. Again no mention of this on the menu. So a cheese and ham sandwich would be £4.80 but a ham and cheese sandwich is £3.80. Exact same sandwich but two different prices. What a con. Does that make sense to you because it makes no sense to me. Do yourself a favour and eat elsewhere.

Had a nice breakfast, service was good and friendly. Downside was got charged £1 for a warm glass of tap water.

I have been going into this cafe for many years. There is always a kind welcome and the food is always good. Coffee......hot The place is clean and tidy. Would highly recommend if you want a good meal with nothing fancy.

Had breakfast here with my friend and although the produce is not organic or fancy it is good plain well cooked food. Service was excellent and the whole restaurant was spotlessly clean. Good place for a quick bite to eat

My Husband and I visited yesterday for a late Sunday breakfast.

Prior to departing back to Yorkshire, we took our friend for a meal at Sunday lunchtime. Found this cafe to be very pleasant and clean and then enjoyed a good meal there.

Lo siento, la razón por la que digo que siento es la camarera es uno de los mejores y más felices que he encuentro camarera, ella le da a todo el mundo con una sonrisa y una charla, pero la comida era lo que tenía, así que tan básico cómo sabía tan soso es más allá de mí! ! Yo tenía queso y patatas fritas de tortilla y granos de champiñones, tuve que poner mucha sal y pimienta en simplemente para que el sabor de nada, ahora tener que pedir agua como boca está salada! ! Es una pena que no puedo conseguir algo tan simple para degustar debe ser más barato de lo barato, patatas fritas congeladas y granos de estaño. Lo siento, no volveré y no puedo recomendar, es una pena, ya que el personal tan agradable

Does anyone know if they have closed down, went past earlier and wasn't open?! Me and my friends have been going here for years and refer to the twins as "the hot cafe girls" I love their mousakka and will be absolutely distraught if I can never have it again!

Enjoyed a lunchtime 'special' lasagne with salad & chips which was a good size portion and very tasty. The staff were friendly and very attentive, we were dining with toddlers, but nothing was too much trouble. The seating was a little tight with the buggy, but it wasn't too busy so we were able to keep the buggy closeby. High chairs were available and a kids menu. 5 satisfied customers. Oh, the only downfall is they only accept cash, so make sure you have enough, not like me, who had to pop to the bank after my meal!!

Eaten here many times and sad to see some unfavourable reviews, we can only speak for the breakfast as we have never had anything else but we have always had a positive experience, great food, friendly service and great value for money, I would doubt there is a better breakfast to be had in Orpington please let me know if there is!Ps we particularly like the door step toast

This place used to be fair place to eat,no frills but acceptable food.Visited it today ordered 2 chicken kebabs.Well they were utter rubbish,salad comprising of some shredded lettuce and a couple of bits of tomato.The worst part was the Chicken,it was rubbish,sliced thin,and burnt up,tasted awful.This was the worst kebab that i have ever been served.Took it back to the counter and told them what i thought of it,and would not be paying for them DO NOT ENTER.

Very enjoyable cost is good clean very helpful and you cán choose nearly anything on the menu I will be going back very soon

My pensioner mum and dad had fish and chips and gammon and pineapple at this establishment wednesday 13th april 2016. They mentioned to staff that did not taste quite right. Complaint ignored. That evening they were both unwell. My dad , who had the fish ,. was particularly ill; shaking with sickness and diarrhea . BEWARE.

I go here a lot. the staff are very friendly. Food always very good and hot with large portions. They do hot meals chicken moussaka lasagne chicken with veg and many more. Sandwiches breakfasts etc etc etc

If you want a roast dinner, breakfast, liver & bacon I can recommend the Olive Tree, excellent value for money, you would be hard pushed to produce the food at home for the money.

Usually go every weekend and get breakfast on Saturday and sometimes Sunday roast. Fab cafe, all the food is good. Folks who run it are fantastic always welcoming. Good place for a break while out shopping, so well worth a visit. Best place on the high street for getting a good fry up.

Orpingto Olive Tree. Chips need to be cooked longer, so that they are crispy and golden. It would also be nice to be able to use a card to pay for eating there.

My little dad's favourite cafe, he takes one of my children each week for breakfast. I've been once with him and the breakfast is delicious. The cafe is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and chatty.

Went to the Bromley branch on Saturday gone. The food has shrunk by half. There was a spider on my carrots dead I might add. I complained to the waiter and he took it off the bill. Asked if I wanted anything else which I declined. I said I shouldn't have to pay for my daughters meal either but he was quite nasty. I paid for hers and left. there shoiuld have been some sort of compensation but not even offered a free coffee. i felt quite sick. Won't be going there again.

I've been coming here with family and friends for the last 7 years. Its a really nice family-run traditional cafe. The service is quick and friendly, the portions are tasty and generous, and the menu contains everything you could want from your local cafe. I can highly recommend this place.

Now we know why a millionaire friend of ours goes here for breakfast!This is a plain and simple café in the best British tradition. The Olive Tree has the quality, quantity and modest prices so beloved of the old-style transport cafes. And it is a notch or two up on ambience.Jane had delicious scrambled eggs on toast, and I tucked into a generous helping of home-made cottage pie, with chips and peas. We added a cup of tea and a cup of coffee. It was great value.A ten-pound note more than covered the bill. And we added a tip for the pleasant and prompt service.What's good enough for our millionaire friend turned out to be more than good enough for us.

My husband and I love this place! Excellent food and friendly staff. I love the fry up, the big doorstep slab of toast and the jacket potatoes...all of which are huge portions.

As always, can't fault this place for food and service. Love coming here for a weekend full english! Great value, always cooked perfect!

Enjoyable meal, and good value for money. Some place to have a quick lunch, but not someplace I would want to take a friend if we wanted to site and have a relaxing chat after the meal. Would go there again sometime.
