Nice pun decent gsrden dog friendly not tried the food but supposed to do great mussels!

Easy parking. No steps so easy access. In quiet times no booking needed. Find a table and say it's number as you order at the bar. More non meat options now. Much better than previously.

Good selection of beers and the food was good too, including the carvery (daily). Highlight for us was the cracking playground for the kids compared to other local pubs.

Amazing food and carvery here every sunday! staff os absolutely amazing and helpful, Valz is amazing making sure everything is clean and spot on! Staff behind warm/hot surface all day, fair play to them😨 Always come here every sunday because no other carvery would beat it❤️ thank you/Diolch!

We went twice in one week to this lovely pub and we went last year as well and can certainly recommend the carvery and the food there. the staff are very friendly very kind and it certainly a brilliant place for families alike. You really should try this place. It’s brilliant.

Had my 80th birthday dinner last night for 19 people. So they closed the restaurant for us. The food was delicious and such big portions. The service was second to none and the price was unbelievable. Could not recommend this venue highly enough

Pubs outside needs complete overhaul. Inside of pub needs some attention . Service not good barman took my order and stood there talking to a punter while I was still waiting happened with both my drinks. Drinks were very expensive. This pub used to be my local for many years and was one of the best pubs in the crays for many years. Haven't visited it for a few years and was shocked. it's one of the only pubs left in Cray. pitty it's gone this way.

Traditional pub at lunchtime. Quiet as a Monday but good food. Only one bitter available but I like Doombar. Will come back again.

We visited on Saturday 17th February 2024. Lovely pub. Food was really tasty & was nicely presented. Dishes we had were maccaroni cheese, beef bourginion & a chicken dish (hunters chicken by another name) . Prices were good too.

Arrived 12pm , Waited 40 mins after opening before they even opened the carvery, children were fed up of waiting by then... to then be told there was a futher wait for the ham ( son only wanted the ham so we had to wait, again ) 13.05 we ended up having food, and it was awful!! Mash was bland, tastless lumpy mush dont know how they could serve it, gravy was like water, veg was dry and tastless... we were going to order desserts but i wasnt going to waste any more money so we all got up and left most of the food... wont come here again!

Went with family on a Sunday tea time, never again - the meat was so dry it crumbled rather than cut when 'carving' - veg was bland and boiled to death... nothing to recommend unless you want a foot high plate of boiled blandness - which works for some I guess based on the stacked up plates I saw, but not for me, if I pay decent money I want decent food - and it's not cheap.

BAD customer service, awful food, Everything was reheated dry meat frozen veg , mash I could lay concrete blocks... ,and too boot they wanted us too order what we wanted over the phone as they were closing the carvery at 7.30 instead of 8pm as stated on there website?!. Eaten here a couple of times but this time carvery was dire roast potatoes were black and felt like chewing on pebbles ,stuffing was some sort of boiled mush ,carrots boiled into submission. Come on bull you can do better

Thank you to the lady who made our visit very welcoming today! She made the whole experience top notch and interacted with my children in a warm way. Nothing was a problem and seemed genuinely caring. Classic pub interior, and was very cosy. The food was great and very enjoyable all-round, and a degree of flexibility with accompaniments too! Definitely a locals pub but not one where you seemed out of place. Friendly, cosy atmosphere, and fully inclusive. Good drinks choices. We will return some time, despite not living locally! Perhaps in the summer when we can get use of the beer garden which equally looks cosy! Again, thank you for your hospitality! Cheers!

We went for a meal here on a Sunday evening and we arrived with only 10 minutes until the kitchen was closing. The staff looked like they'd had a busy day but, in spite of this, we had a lovely meal with good, friendly service and the food was fantastic. It was a relaxed atmosphere and nice environment, I would recommend eating here.

My wife and I decided to have a meal out and chose the bull inn at Pentraeth as we had never been there. What a great place, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and we didn't even have to book prior to our visit. We will certainly be returning.

The best Sunday roast around by far. Fresh tasting brilliant staff. Great atmosphere.

Stopped here for a quick Monday lunch. Didn't fancy the carvery - low traffic meant very dried-out offerings - so decided on simple Fish n Chips. The fish was a bit small (not the whale-sized fillet shown in the pics) and wasn't the price shown on the exterior adverts. But, it was fine, and the chips were decent. Overall, it was OK, but I'm not rushing to return.

Carvery was delicious with tasty roasties, great choice of veg, meat lovely and plenty of it. Price really good so we will defygo back again. The guy who welcomed us in, dark hair and glasses, was very nice and friendly.

We went for the Sunday carvery we loved it , but we still don’t know why the same carvery in the week is more expensive on a Sunday . The gravy was bland which was a shame , it is what it is , Sunday family roast with no food prep , no washing up , eat and chill out.

Came here for the carvery. At £10.95 it is a fanatic deal for the amount you get. We were given all 3 of the meats that were available and the portions were huge.

Called in without a booking. The Bar staff & the guys on the Carvery were really friendly & efficient. Carvery excellent value for money. Very tasty. Probably the best Carvery I’ve had. Will definitely call again.

A pleasant carvery lunch mid-week. Service was quick and the food was plentiful. The meat (beef, ham, turkey - you can have all three) was good quality and each portion was large - too large for children. The vegetables were varied but had been standing some time by the time we are at 13.30 ish. Good value and happy courteous staff. There is adequate parking and a nice well kept children's play area

Popped In for a Sunday carvery, Restaurant was vey busy so was hoping for a cracking meal. We were seated in the bar, on bay stools to high for the tables. A tv in the corner playing a music channel was very unpleasant. Carvery was well over priced, meat was pretty good to be fair but the vegetables were bland and unseasoned. Roast potatoes were very poor and frozen Yorkshire puddings for £15 was very disappointing. I ate about 10% of my plate and left the rest. Would not return, felt more like a Wetherspoons, since learned it’s owned by lunch taverns. Makes sense.
