Only had to wait a bit under three hours, had worse. The waiting area is far too small and hot for the number of people waiting, crowded, overheated, no privacy for people when they tell the receptionist their problem. Nurse was efficient and pleasant. Generally speaking I would recommend as a good place to go and get coughed all over while stressing out.

Went for a blood test. Woman told me to take my jacket off and I explained that I have had extensive chemo and the only vein I had was in my hand. She said that she he woman before said this and she got blood from her arm! I have not had any veins in my arms for 30 years and even the anaesthetist at kings has to use my hand! Really upsetting.

Absolutely brilliant care provided at BB. Came in with a horrible tooth abscess on a Sunday morning at 10:00 am. I had the possibility of getting a same day appointment which I am very happy for. I was seen within 15 minutes of appointment time. The nurse and dentist were both lovely and skilled. They looked everything over, told me the diagnosis and then gave me plenty of advice in how to feel better. The dentist wrote me a script for the medication I need and I was out within 20 minutes but feeling a lot more positive. Was able to pick up medication same day. Again this was all on a Sunday which we all know how hard it is to get seen by a doctor. Thank you so much to the dental team at BB.

I was referred by 111 for a blood test due to high BD and being unwell. When I attended my appointment, the receptionist at the Walk-in Centre said 'They don't do blood tests and she didn't understand why 111 referred me to them'. She dismissed my appointment and asked me to wait like the other patients to see a nurse. It was a fully seated centre with a few standing, a woman was yelling and the atmosphere was stressful. I'm appalled by the lack of care service when we need it. I had to leave with high palpitations and anxiety.

I am very disappointed with my entire experience after visiting UCC on 30th of December. Initially triaged by very young locum nurse who wasnt even aware that there was an x-ray on the premises and advised me that I will probably not be seen (it was 2.40 and centre closes at 8pm) and that I should probably make my way to a&e anyway. As it waa extremly difficult for me to walk due to trauma to my ankle and I wasnt able to waight beare I decided to wait. It took almost 5 hours to be seen by trauma nurse (no complaits there, very knowledgable). No diagnoses on the day or any time afterwards. Report from x-ray signed off after 5 days only after PALS got involved (not sure why centre is called urgent care....). Every time I called to ask about results and furher plan, I was told that nurse will call me back but nobody did. One receptionist, when asked about her name said to me that I am "funny" asking that question and refused to provide her name. Every time I waa told that it is not a good time... As an NHS staff, I was very let down and disappointed with how disorganized everything was and that in the end I had not received any help, advice or treatment. Centre clearly more focused on seeing people with cough and colds and other infections than injties or trauma.

As someone else mentioned, blood test system is messed up. They didn't seem to care about appointments and the nurse basically called in whoever happened to be sitting closest to the entrance to the blood test rooms. I watched a bunch of people who had later appointments than me get called in first. Thought it was coincidence until I'd waited ten minutes past my appointment time and asked one of the nurses, who muttered something under her breath about me being late, although I had been sat on a chair a little further away for almost 45 mins!!! No names were called like reception told me they would be. The nurse who actually took my blood was very nice though.

The worse experience of a NHS facilities I have ever had. The nurse just didn't care to do her job properly. When my son was triaged by her, she didn't even look at his hand, that by now was very swollen and bruised. She didn't triage him to have an x-ray. When the GP saw him after 2 hours of waiting the first thing she said is: he needs an xray. Of course by then the xray centre was closed. I was feeling quite emotional when I started coming due to the emergency nature of my surgery but the staff really put me at ease and tried to help me get appointments at my own GP surgery. Waiting times varied, there was sometimes a long wait (a couple of hours) and other times not as long (within half an hour), depending on how many people walked in that day. Came home it was still bleeding and my husband bandaged it up again but the nurse was totally useless and couldn’t care less. Same nurse treated my daughter a few years ago when she had an accident in school & lost her whole nail. After waiting for hours to be seen, she put a plaster & gave her 2 paracetamol & told us to go home. My daughter was only 8 years old & was in so much pain that I ended up taking her to Croydon university in the evening where they gave her morphine for the pain and bandaged her thumb properly. Save yourself the wait and go straight to A&E for things like head injuries as I saw a young girl wait for at least two hours only be told to go to A&E because she needs an X-ray

rude receptionist who kept on askin why i was attending kept making me repeat my self so the whole waitin room could hear. the older lady who sits to the right not impressed. also the jmaican lady with short hair who sees you before the docter had a very bad attitude and speaks down to you. how ever the docters are lovely. waiting time takes forever like any other walk in clinic .

Long wait times like every other walk in service in London...NHS need to do better and stop running slow, under staffed facilities. Beckenham beacon has one receptionist asking details and personal questions for all to here in the waiting room and a queue of people going out the door and then you have a consultation in a room in the waiting area with the door open with all to hear again. No privacy on personal and confidential matters..only positive is it’s open up until 8pm.

Incredibly friendly staff. I had to go to the GP very day following surgery and went for a cup of tea after and the staff could see I was poorly so were so kind to me and understanding. They were flexible. Accommodating and I watched them trying to make each customer feel good. It’s light and airy and just a positive warm atmosphere. Best tricolore panini in Beckenham and the best Victoria sponge (so light it could float off)! They’ve also been really kind to me before when I had a newborn who needed breastfeeding with a toddler who wanted to run off. They let me sit at a table without any pressure to order anything and the waitress engaged my toddler in games and conversation so I could feed my baby. Talk about going the extra mile. In summary the food is lovely but the service is wonderful, especially if you are feeling wobbly, given it’s location by the GP and hospital. Go here to regroup after your appointment- you’ll leave feeling steadier and happier.

I attended the walk in centre today and was seen by the nurse within minutes who attended to my immediate pain. The waiting room was extremely busy and it clearly indicated at the reception area the wait time which was a reasonable 2hrs. Nice atompsere considering! The two staff who dealt with my case Annemarie and Indi could not have been more helpful, caring or pleasant. Busy and under pressure they took their time to ensure that l was examined properly, my situation explained and medical treatment given. Amazing service and could not have wished to be treated any better. Thank you.

I was in A&E on the 2nd of March here. Although, the ad says that you have to wait for about 3 hours on average to be addressed, I only waited for about 10-15 mins. After that I was referred to a GP in the Cator Medical Centre which was next door as they had 1 appointment available in 20 mins. I’m glad my emergency was addressed very quickly and I got my prescription for antibiotics. If I didn’t go there I would have most probably been hospitalized by now.

Previously a 3 star and down graded to a 2. I waited 6 months for physiotherapy here, I was diagnosed with weak Vastus Medialis and given exercises to do, an appointment card saying to call them when needed if the exercises were not helping was given to me at the end of the consultation. About 8 weeks later I call them (it takes around 6 weeks for muscles to properly develop with a new exercise) and they said I had been removed from their service. I called and was told I could be referred and given another number but I never got an answer from it. I left multiple emails and was told that a note had been left with the person in charge of referrals, so I waited and nothing happened. I got a letter through the post say "Client agreed they are better and have improved 80%" which is totally made up. I now go privately to a physiotherapist, they told me my Vastus Medialis and quads in general are very strong but hip flexors are weak, 4 weeks later and my knees has been the best it's been for 2 years, which is since the issue started.

A real 'Beacon' in every sense of the word. Housing 2 GP services and a 'walk in' clinic + other facilities such as x-ray, ultrasound, pharmacy, venepuncture and numerous Outpatient Clinics as required . I am SO impressed and it takes a lot to impress me where healthcare is concerned. I left my Sydenham based GP practice to move to the Beacon and am bowled over by just how good it is, to actually be treated with courtesy and respect by efficient GPs is as rare as hens teeth it seems. Only complaint is the parking situation which can be quite difficult and worrying when you have an appointment and the car park is full to busting, particularly if you're about to get your blood pressure checked!

As a visitor to the area I was referred by a local doctor to this hospital. What a great place. I had excellent attention and staff were so helpful and friendly. I wish there was a facility like this in scotland. Thanks to all the staff.
