Great Sunday lunch with a good choice menu. The beef was perfectly cooked, the Yorkshire pudding was light and crispy and the gravy rich and delicious. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Although the pub was busy, service was quick and friendly. Altogether, a really lovely meal.

Quite possibly one of the worst Sunday lunches I have ever had. Half the food was over cooked and dry, The waiting staff were rude and grumpy. We were moved on from our table when there was no one after us then basically kicked out of the pub when we wanted more drinks. The pub is up for sale so the owner quite obviously doesn’t care. Try the 3 Horseshoes or The Harrow in Knockholt instead.

Our first visit to this spacious and well maintained establishment followed on from last week’s lunch at the Pied Bull at Farningham, so I’m already on the lookout for another bovine titled eatery. The menu caters for all tastes and the food is plentiful. Madam’s battered fish had a thoroughly cooked and correctly crispy coating. (I do like some alliteration). Both hers and my chips were good also - fluffy inside a crunchy exterior. Just like me. My ham was flavourful. Service was friendly, a good selection of ales and beer was available - and the toilets were spick and span. A notice on the bar extols payment by cash - you remember what that is, I hope. This avoids depreciation of profits caused by card fees. Just saying. We will be back - via the ATM.

Super friendly, food was served at a reasonable time, staff warm and friendly! Food was delicious, had the vegetarian roast which was lovely. Plenty of roast potatoes, large Yorkshire pudding, plenty of vegetables. The only downside was there was no soya option for milk.

Booked a table for three people for lunch at 12:30 on a Sunday, arrived earlier than expected as our walk in the country was shorter than expected, the staff spotted us sitting on the benches outside and let us into the pub 15 mins before opening to allow us to be out of the cold (tho they were still setting up and not actually serving at that point ) - Nice touch ! Interior design and set up is clean and cosy, staff are very happy and open without being fake and over the top. Ordered Sunday roast lamb and Roast beef, both were very well presented with just the right amount of meat, perfectly cooked, fresh veg including beetroot, carrot, parsnip, beans and cabbage as well as duck fat roasted spuds and big home made Yorkshire pud - with a thick and rich gravy. Slight crunch to the veg which is perfect and really well balanced portions - Can't fault it at all, Really good food. Puds were spot on too ! We'll be coming back and can happily recommend this place to others !

Delicious starters, highly recommend the 4 for £26 offer, popcorn chicken and squid were delicious Had roast lamb, not the best meat cuts I didn't think, partner agreed with the meats cuts on mixes roast, chicken was the best out of all, that said the vegetables were delicious

I would give a 0 if I could. Luckily my allergy is not life threatening but I stated many times I had a dairy allergy and to was not allowed any milk products. The waitress checked with the chef if the fish and chips were dairy free and she came back and said yes. When my order came I could see the peas were covered in a product that looked like butter- my husband tried them and confirmed his opinion that they tasted of diary butter!! We told the waiter and he said ‘oh yes they are in butter’ to which I was shocked and said ‘I have a milk allergy’ he took my meal back to the chef and bought back another dinner, to my shock again they were also in a butter like product. They had given me butter AGAIN on my peas!! When are allergies going to be taken seriously!? This could have been my life, one taste of the butter and it could have been a very different story. Education, training, allergy awareness should all be in place if you are providing any food. Really disappointed.

Popped in with kids and dog for a Friday night dinner and the experience far exceeded our expectations. We were met with a warm welcome by the staff. Good selection of drinks and dog bowl and treats also offered. Ordering at the bar is easy and kids were kept entertained by the swings and climbing frame while we waited. The highlight of the trip was the food as it was simply delicious and we will definitely revisit in the future.

The staff was friendly, and we got served right away. The food took a while to come because of a big table before us, and they then took a bit of time to take our desert order. But the ice cream was lovely. It was fine.

Among country pubs. This is typical. However, the exception is the friendly staff. To top it off, was the quality of food and presentation. They employ a Chef who cooks everything fresh and although it takes time, it's worth the wait. I cannot recommend it enough.

Had a fantastic lunch today at the Bull. We were 8 of us and everyone’s meal was faultless. The buttermilk chicken burger was lovely and the salmon and sea bass was Michelin star quality and presentation. We got such good service and everyone was smiling and extremely polite. Can’t wait to be back.

I don't think we timed our visit very well.... It felt like an after school club more than a pub! When we did get served my 2 drinks were both very poorly served and definitely not fully pints. Our food.... We had 4 of the nibbles, all were very nice but disappointed there was no offer of sauce with the halloumi fries, we also ordered a Caesar salad from the main menu to accompany them, probably the poorest Caesar salad I have ever had, for £11 some lettuce with some grated parmesan just didn't cut it. As I said our timing wasn't great, and I wouldn't rule out going there again but the experience was very mixed

It just took forever, 45 minutes before anyone taking our order, who then said, "did anyone tell you it would be a 30-40 minute wait for food once ordered?" 90 minutes after arriving we asked if our food was coming, it then arrived within 10 minutes! A discount was applied to the final bill without asking

Our son treated us to lunch And we must say it was fantastic, good choice of food, service very good, tasty food. Would highly recommend it.

This is a great pub-restaurant, welcoming and spacious, nice atmosphere. Very good menu with a lot of choices to the nice usual roasts to less common selections, something for everyone. Great service too and decent drinks. Plenty of parking adjacent.

We have enjoyed lunch 3 times in the past month as 2 couples, 3 friends and as a couple. Each time the food was good, the service friendly and helpful and the atmosphere relaxed. We have recommended The Bull's Head to friends and all reports back have been good.

We had a yummy Sunday roast for Mothers Day, with a fantastic lemon tart dessert- staff are attentive and kind and the atmosphere is always fantastic. Great place to go with the kids. Will be coming back again.

Visited this establishment several times now .Food is good however a very long wait on first occasion short staffed,I’ll accept that however visited again on four more occasions very long wait for food again given the excuse of short staffed there won’t be a 5th time sorry but I brought 4 other guests with me and I was embarrassed by service you need to sort this Im a retired pub manager never did I run a pub to that standard you do !!

Always excellent food, great variety on the menu, everyone can find something they will like even the most fussy among us! Little chaotic at the end of the meal because it became very busy and there was a shortage of staff but no big deal and amazingly the staff that were rushed off their feet maintained a very charming and happy disposition which took the end off any hassle

Went to this pub for lunch with my cousin and it was really very nice . Food was good - we both had ham, egg and chips - real ham it was - tasty and good portions. Very nice beer too - Harveys Sussex Bitter. We were well looked after by Nicky and Vicky so thank you ladies. Will go back for lunch next week with two more friends .

Lovely plentiful roast for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The lamb was tender and the vegetarian parcel stuffed with a good variety of veggies was very tasty. Good gravy and excellent selection of veggies that weren’t over cooked.

We arrived as two on a long local walk. Inside this pub is like a Tardis, absolutely huge. And the rear garden is huge as well with plenty of seating. There's a decent selection of ales including one of my favourites Doombar. The menu offers a good selection including smaller bites and sandwiches. The facilities are very clean and modern, with the pub itself offering a hard wooden floor maintaining that lovely cosy traditional feel. We did have to wait a long time for our meals, however it was definitely worth it. Our plates were nicely presented, with notable above average quality in terms of ingredients and taste. We would definitely like to return on a Saturday afternoon, as we did on this day. I recommend the Turkey Roast with all the trimmings or the Fried Red Snapper fish. I would hope that on a Sunday Lunchtime they'd have more staff. To cater for the likely high foot fall. A very nice traditional pub, with high quality meals.

Lovely pub, offering fantastic Sunday roasts! The lamb was beautifully cooked to perfection, with a very impressive giant yorkie!! The lovely, friendly staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, with latecomers, additional members of the group and also when dealing with a minor issue with the fish. Kids were well catered for too, from the menu, through to the collection of toys, games and books. I'm really looking forward to visiting again!

We was extremely disappointed by this pub. Firstly there was no atmosphere. Our starters were actually very nice but the whole place was clearly understaffed and there was one girl serving all the tables. This whole meal was a waiting game and we felt sorry for the staff. Our roast dinner was awful. The ‘goose fat’ roast potatoes looked like they’d never seen a oven and were just boiled and hard. The roast was served with beetroot and courgettes with no real roast vegetables. The whole plate was a mush up of weird vegetables. The only good this was the gravy. Our meal was £85 for 2 starters, 2 roasts and 2 sides and 2 diet cokes. Very very expensive for the disappointing food. The two ladies next to us asked to leave their mains as it was taking over 30 mins after ordering. The table behind us got told they couldn’t order for 15 mins as they was behind on orders. Overall a disappointment and won’t be returning.

It was our first time visiting the bulls head and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids had fun playing in the play area and we all enjoyed a lovely roast dinner. The biscoff cheesecake was also delicious. We will definitely be back.

Love this pub! Great for families. A lovely little playground to keep the kids Entertained. One of the best Roasts around, and you must try the biscoff cheesecake. It was Amazing! We will be returning.

Quiet on a Monday lunchtime. First visit. Food good and freshly prepared . Pleasant service Substantial bar meal washed down with excellent pint of Harveys Toilets very clean and with soap, hot water and well functioning . We will return.

I had a lovely meal in there for my Birthday. The food was delicious. They accommodated us a table of 10 so I could celebrate with my family. Food was very nice and staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I was disappointed with, we preordered our meals and wanted prawn cocktail. And when we arrived they informed us they had run out. They offered us king prawns as an alternative which I thought it would still come as a prawn cocktail but it didn't.
