The best restaurants in Milton Southend-on-Sea East of England

Was here Saturday 5th October great food and staff the place is clean. And at a very good price I will be back .

After finishing work at 4am finding places to eat are slim to none. However The Crown was open so I thought I would give it a go. Chicken burgers, jalapeño poppers and chips. All freshly made and hot by the time I collected. I was also given extra chips which was a nice touch. With the standard of food and the opening hours I will be a frequent customer!

Lovely clean cafe, very friendly helpful staff. We ended up having the OAP fish chips and hot drink for £10??? Bigger piece of cod than we expected great meal. Also very clean and well kept toilets. Don’t really want too Many people to know as we might not be able to get into this again lol

Come in to day, wanted an Easter egg sundae, was told it wasn’t available as they had no ingredients…asked for a cup a tea, couldn’t make it had no hot water!! Then asked for two hot chocolates..told nope still no hot water!! So we went without! Then sitting near the till, another customer served my another gentleman was allowed an Easter sundae! So was majorly dissapointed! We normally have fantastic service, that’s why we come back..we use you monthly at least!

Ordered at about 8:20pm, by 9:20 checked and apparently the order was completed, it wasn't, spent 30 minutes calling the store to ask where my order was, my partner went down to the store as they was closing at 10pm, he got there at 9:46 and they are closed. We don't have our order, I had been calling since 9:25 and no one was answering to find that the restaurant has actually closed early and we don't have our food at all. We spent £50.

Placed a large £65+ food order via Just Eat. Order was delivered late. Everything was cold. Missing items. Called the place to inform of said missing items (multiple calls later I get through), employee is very rude and arrogant - literally arguing with me telling me no items are missing! Would not allow me to speak, to inform of said missing items etc - he ended up shouting down the phone at me! What was delivered was pretty disgusting, oily / greasy & NOT fit for human consumption. Not to mention the undercooked chicken and calamari. Overall disgusting service & disgusting food. Will never order from here again, an I recommend YOU don’t either.

Totally discussed with this place.. thought was coming to nice cafe to have lunch with my family.. we been waiting almost 25 minutes for our food. I asked several times why our food was taking so long????? The manager creepy kept looking behind freezer but didn't want to respond. Instead sends his girl staff to apologise for delay in food. But perfectly serving customers outside efficiently????

I came here on Monday for lunch with my daughter and her friend. The food was delicious very well presented very freshly cooked. We all had different dishes and we loved it so much. The lady who served us. She was so good so professional and she was working so hard as it was only her working as a waitress, but she was lovely. The chef would come out sometimes to bring the food out to the customers,,and he was so nice as well and he was making sure everyone was happy. Overall I would definitely recommend this place hundred percent, my favourite one to go from now on when I need to go for a lunch in town

Stopped off at this cafe for a lunch during a long walk from Shoeburyness to Leigh, we were well served, and the food was really impressive, only negative is this venue has no toilets inside, and an outside toilet has to be used

I forget a bag from a JD … can you keep it until I collect it and if you can tell me is there ?

Typical Wetherspoons , slightly dodgy WiFi near the toilets when we were there , so not easy to order from the table .

Today we visited Tomassi’s for the first time in many years. Excellent food, great service and very affordable prices. Still in the same family they have not lost that personal touch. Special mention of their ice cream sundaes which were really yummy!! Will be going there again on our next visit to Southend.
