The best restaurants in Milton Southend-on-Sea East of England

Disappointing for something that is supposed to be their speciality - bought 2x Rossi 99s this morning and both cones tasted musty and were clearly stale. Not the first time we’ve had a similar experience unfortunately. Will be seeking out an alternative ice cream parlour on the seafront from now on.

Had a delicious afternoon tea! Visited last week and enjoyed our afternoon tea. Not too busy and friendly table service. Have been before and had the same experience. Recommended.

Firstly our waitress was really friendly and took time to explain what gluten free options were on the menu for my friend. Despite being busy the service was good. The food was ok, but nothing special. There is a good choice of food on the menu. It is definitely worth going here before a show at the Cliffs Pavilion but do book as it’s very popular.

Nice looking place - American diner-like. Not cheap - but it is in the middle of Southend seafront - so its as expected. Burgers looked nice (with some salad and that but were only lukewarm and not that great. Cheese not melted. Chips were not quite cooked enough, and could have done with a few more.

A friendly well run cafe offering a good range of menu options. We had excellent bacon and sausage sandwiches sitting under a heater watching a weather system pass through the estuary. Who needs Spain!

Our office Christmas party night at Ravens was a fantastic night. The service was very friendly and I can honestly say that this was the best food of all the work Christmas parties attended over the years. Thanks to all of the Ravens team for making this a night to remember. We hope to be back next year!

We have been a few times here now for Sunday lunch and the food is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We went with friends who also really liked it and have been back with us twice already. We usually stay on for the band which are generally excellent. A great day/night out at a great price. I will miss the current owners when they leave and can only hope the new owners keep it the same and don't try to fix something that's already mended.

Top value after 5pm. Great rides for kids. Get the annual pass if you have young grandchildren visiting you in SOS. Great Value but price of annual pass seems to have gone up a lot!!

Very expensive, tiny bit of cod. Salad was awful, shredded lettuce, couple of cut up cherry tomatoes & a few slivers of cucumber for £14 Staff were lovely & helpful and the tables etc were clean.

Terrible. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but a walk in customer shouldn’t have to wait 30+mins for a kebab. Guy kept saying yes yes it’s coming and proceeded to serve and bag up orders after mine. Shop wasn’t even busy and there was no excuse for the team of two guys to be as slow and poor as they were. Took a fair bit of back and forth arguing with the guy before I got a refund (he kept saying he didn’t know how to do one) I will take my business to much better establishments that appreciate the business. Overall a very rude service and disgusting attitude. Never again

Lovely bar with a great view. Well priced food and drink, and great friendly bar staff. Wonderful venue for enjoying a sunny day.

Absolutely legendary best gaff ivr ever been to. Manwar is amazing and everybody should tip him substantually. He is the best manager ever. Burger king give him a pay risr NOW!
