I have an annual pass and it has amazing value! I’ve been twice this year and both times with barely any queue wait. Would definitely recommend!

Came here on the Bank Holiday with 3 kids 9 and 8, the arm bands cost £25 for unlimited rides. Entry is free so I just brought a couple of tickets £4 each for myself as I knew i would only do a few rides. The kids had a fantastic day and went on so may rides, there are alot of rides and even some indoor ones. Will definitely be going again worth the money.

Great value for money, cracking location, food a rip off like any place like this, fairly well maintained. Proper seaside experience 👌 Annual pass well worth it if you go more than once a year! And blue light card discount too!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved thecthe ferris wheel and the roller coaster was loads of fun. The other rides were absolutely fantastic and we had a lot of fun. Definitely going back again at some point. Did get a little soggy during a short downpour but had a great time.

I'm actually quite annoyed.and frustrated with this place. This place use to be so good. The rides used to go round sometimes 2 times and they definitely had a longer duration aswell as a faster speed. The old favourites for a lot of us is just done and finished! Not just this but why do you allow your staff especially the women to wear high short jeans? So while thier flinging thier legs up and down during the absurd dance movements you false them all to do my child and others are getting a arse full. Surely that is a safeguarding problem. It's great that alot of them are so enthusiastic but to be sitting thier for 5-10 mins waiting to then be give a 30 sec experience. Is it worth it. Maybe if you can alter the duration of the ride depending on businesses of the ride? For little babies thier is literally a minimal that we can get on. My daughter is very very advance and what she would love to go kn she can't. So why is thier not anything else provided. Is it fair and equal for all ages. I don't think so. I also read you reviews for you employees on indeed. It explains alot why some of them see so sad and down if you are treating them like the way they are saying. I know your going to give me the automated reply so safety regulation and age restrictions and rubbish and you will pass over to the relevant manager. But maybe someone should really start having a look into this all and making some adjustments. Other than that the coffee in the jungle cafe next to the gold is amazing thanks guys

I have always visited Southend since I was a child but today I visited with my 4 children and my daughter is 4 she was under 1metre but already paid online £25 for her wristband she hardly got to go on anything / she cried a few times from being told she won’t be able to join her siblings on the rides very disappointing considering you pay £25 online to then only get to go on 2 rides

5 Stars Adventure Island on Southend seafront is a fantastic day out for all ages. The variety of rides is impressive, with something for everyone—from thrilling coasters to family-friendly fun. Standouts include Rage, one of the UK’s steepest roller coasters with a heart-racing 97° drop and a full loop that delivers a real adrenaline kick, and Axis, a modern spinning pendulum ride that swings and rotates high above the park—absolutely exhilarating! The park is also great value for money, especially if you grab the annual pass, which quickly pays for itself if you visit more than a couple of times a year. Queue times are generally very acceptable, even during busier periods, and the staff keep everything running smoothly. The park is also impressively clean throughout, with well-kept paths and spotless facilities. There are plenty of food options too, whether you’re after snacks, sit-down meals, or just something sweet, and it’s conveniently located near arcades and amusements along the seafront for even more fun after the rides. Highly recommended for families, thrill seekers, or anyone looking for a lively day out by the sea!

We visited on the Bank Holiday (May 5th) and had an absolutely fantastic day out as a family—2 adults and 2 kids (aged 9 and 2). Our older one was buzzing with excitement and could go on almost everything! If your little one is under 1 metre, there aren’t loads of rides for them, but there’s still plenty to enjoy. The staff running the rides were amazing—super enthusiastic and really made the experience extra fun for the kids. Queuing wasn’t too bad at all, especially for a Bank Holiday, though the weather could’ve been better (classic UK!). We travelled about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there and would 100% do it again. I would recommend ordering the tickets online and you save money.

Really value for money when buying the yearly pass. Cleaners do a good job of keeping the park clear of rubbish. The staff on the rides my granddaughter went in were very knowledgeable and helpful The toilets were kept cleaned. This is a very challenging job but a thumbs up to the cleaners who do this job. Just one concern is the lines you go to for the wristbands are not very organized. Queue jumpers can take advantage of this. It happened on our visit to another family. People tend to stand close to the counters instead of moving away after purchasing their bands .. Not sure if this is a bigger issue known to the park? Other r than that it was a great day out would highly recommend.

Sand was ok, beach was clean no litter, which was good and good cafés if you need food & drinks

Lovely place for family & kids, staff are very friendly & always engaging with everyone, making the experience for the little kids extra special. They have lots of different events and definitely worth purchasing the annual pass (you get 20% discounton food & drinks within the venue) . We come quite often as a family & my 3 year old loves it. Toilets & facilities are clean. Lots of parking available close by. Keep up the great work everyone.

Great experience, I've used almost 21 rides including repetitive rides, enjoyed a lot, but at the end of the day you need two pegs for deep sleep

Adventure Island is great for a day out with the kids. Rides galore, a souvenir shop, and an inside section so they can be open all year round, as well as a restaurant and some donut, Ice cream and drinks stands. Easy access to the rest of the sea front, town and public transport. The annual pass is definitely a solid investment for locals. If I was to make one criticism it would be more benches.

This is a weird one. I'm glad this exists, but for what it is, Adventure Island is horribly expensive if you just come for the day, though I'll admit that a season ticket is much more worthwhile. Most of the non-thrill-rides are very kiddie centric, leaving not much to do for the velocity-challenged themepark enjoyer. Speaking of theme - my friend, who is a local, told me that Adventure Island was much more heavily themed in the 90s. Crying shame that went away, because as small was this park is, a lot could be done with a bit of care regarding the visuals of it.

Better than a local funfair. I recommend buying an annual pass if you're planning on coming here more than twice a year!

My sister ordered 8 wristbands online for our children for a day out in the Easter holidays.. On the first time trying to pay they said payment didn’t go through so we tried again.. Again payment was unsuccessful so I thought let’s try again tomorow .. as the next day comes and we try again she realised £200 pound has come out of her account and no emails of confirmation have been sent… we have called and emailed adventure island and they say there busy and hang up the phone call. Disgusting robbing off a single mother with young children.

Kids love it, but prices are mad

Loved it here, went on the pier but it was absolutely freezing so if you go make sure you wrap up warm, and get the train back its a very long walk. If you want to go on the rides its cheaper to buy tickets after 5pm. Grate fun place.

It's a great fun place for families. BUT No reflection room for people who want to have some time to reflect/contemplate. There are a lot of people who would be grateful if there is a small area where they can go to contemplate.

Came here today and had a brilliant time and the staff on the Pharow ride were brilliant although later we had a go on the hook a duck and was served by a boy called Harrison who accused me of stealing and insisted on checking my pockets and hands multiple times until he gave up and realised he was wrong absolutely disgusting behaviour and completely spoiled our day out won’t be coming back for a while

The Adveture island has entertainment and rides for all ages and is an excellent day out for a family and highly recommended with one proviso, go out of school holidays and weekends when it's crowded and you will spend hours queueing for every ride, which can make for kranky kids.

Good for children and young people entertainment

We had a lovely family day out at Adventure Island visiting over the Easter weekend. There is a plenty to do for all ages and the price for a wristband is very competitive. Brought wristbands for all who wanted to ride and supporters are free to wander and watch. The staff seemed very happy within their roles and were very interactive with all the visitors. Highly recommended.

Need to get here before 9am to get parking space next to the beach which is beside Adventure Island. Even though it's over £5 for 2 hours parking unless you have a blue badge, then it's free to park. Very good day out for the family. For each child to go on rides, you need a wrist band which is £25 each. Then they can go on any ride several times. Height restrictions on a few (adults ride free on these rides when accompanying child)

Small with only a few big rides. The arcade centre is nice with a few good games.

One would think you in America rsthet than England

All good with shorter queues and fun rides, shame they closed earlier than usual. Will bring our own sprinkles and sauce for ice cream next time, though, as we know ice creams and candy floss are ridiculously expensive, but they didn't even have sprinkles?! And you have to pay extra for sauce. Otherwise, all good, the staff were friendly and engaging as always, no shortage of security guards and cleaning staff around the park. Shame we couldn't make use of the play area indoors as they closed it early too, will come again in next month.

Wasn’t expecting too much but actually a very good day out with queues at a maximum of 15-20 minutes on the bigger more popular rides and we were there on a busy sunny day in the April school holidays. The staff on the rides are a complete breath of fresh air, especially on the younger children’s rides. This alone really makes the park, giving it a personality and making children smile. The food is a little expensive and not great quality.

Top value after 5pm. Great rides for kids. Get the annual pass if you have young grandchildren visiting you in SOS. Great Value but price of annual pass seems to have gone up a lot!!

Great for older kids and young teens, but charging £35 for a 2 & 4 year-old feels like a complete rip-off. They’re too small to go on most of the rides, so it’s hard to justify the price. A fairer system would be to charge more for kids who meet the ride height restrictions and a reduced fee for younger children who can’t enjoy the full experience

I loved this place, although it was small it was very enjoyable, the rides were very fun and I didn't want to leave. The gift shop wasn't the best but that makes up for all of the rides and the food stands tasted amazing. Would 100% recommend!

We purchased your membership pass on the special offer you have been running. We visited and was there for 10 hours! The kids had an amazing time, it's was great that the rides are accessible to children of all ages. Only thing I would say is we went to the chips and dips counter and asked for chips with nacho cheese, was told they didn't have that so asked for it with grated cheese and was told they didn't have that, then asked for it with chilli and was told they didn't have that. If the stock is that low it should be either mentioned before ordering or have a sign up. All that was available was gravy and curry sauce although the people in the queue before us had cheese and chilli and then people in the queue after us we noticed had the nacho cheese etc, so not sure why it wasn't available to us!

Queued up for about 45/60minutes for the devils dance aka the claw.. we came on took around 10 minutes for the staff to even start the ride they didn’t know whether to risk letting another passenger on for the weight to be even or just let it go and “risk it” for the ride to then malfunction whilst we were upside down and we all got turfed off and got told if we wanted to come back on to go and queue. It’s ridiculous the waiting times compared to other theme parks which are much bigger and queues are much larger and still getting on quicker than adventure island.. the staff take too long to get people on, safety checks etc.. the only ride I can actually say have it under control is the rage, on and off super fast everyone’s happy, checks are quick and your off for the thrill. Definitely can do much better.

Free entry. No dogs (except service animals), no smoking. Can take you own food and drink. Rides for all ages. Food and drinks - standard amusement park fare. Arcade/games. Went during UK school holidays, it was busy but queues moved fairly quickly. Those with young kids did queue for some time for a Bluey attraction.

Kids had a lot of fun. Very reasonably priced tickets. Never waited more than 15mins for a ride even though it was a warm sunny easter day. Friendly staff. The arcade was very good value as well. Games cost 50p and we are used to £1 or £2 prices elsewhere for the same games. Will return and highly recommended!

Little bit upset the prices changed for £4/ticket some of ride under 50 sec????!! Why this running like conveyor belt???pay pay pay stupid... Increase revenue, reduce entertainment... What is this attitude nowadays???

A lot of rides to enjoy with a low amount of tickets. The entry is free. There are rides for every age of group people. Restaurants like fish and chips, ice cream parlour, drinks, etc. The weekend is not that crowded during the afternoon. Enjoy the sea view while taking a ride. Lovely town to visit.

Fun Place to go for the family especially when it's sunny. Wrist band are worth it if you go on more than 6 rides but buy in advance to save an extra tenner £25 online and £35 on the door .

Good place to bring family for fun time.

It's not anything like Thorpe Park. However, it was amazing in it's own way. Evey thing was clean, hygienic and fun. One particular ride that had my eyes pop out of my head was the Rage. Thrilling and insane, it made a normal day into a masterpiece. This experience blew my mind and I can't wait to go again.

I love free admission parks like this. The staff are so genuinely happy to be there and they do their jobs really well.

The annual tickets represent great value for the kids. Staff are welcoming and create a welcome atmosphere. On previous visits, I was perturbed by an effigy of Nigel Farage, especially as he represents such awful (IMO) divisive right-wing views, not in keeping with a child friendly family venue. However, I was pleased to see this has now been removed, but worry, it might allude to the owners political stance... not something I want to support.

Very disappointed they let you buy ride tickets 5 mins before telling you they are closing , not the cashiers but staff walking about after your stood in a 25 min que or just paid 🤔

I went to Adventure Island today with my Son and 3 Grandsons. Although the sun was shining I wasn't keen because it was so cold. However when I got there I was so pleased I made the effort. We had an amazing time. Couldn't fault it. The Staff were so good with the children, making the experience and absolute joy. I also noticed how clean the site was, no litter and spotlessly clean toilets as well. The boys want to go back tomorrow, as they had such a brilliant time.😀.So we bought a yearly pass! Well done to you all. Id thoroughly recommend this place.

Spent whole day here and still didn't get on everything. Plenty of options, reasonable queue times and short distance between rides, really get value for money and maximum entertainment for kids. Wasnt too busy during half term week either. Longest queue was for the wristbands. Includes large indoor arcade area to warm up on colder days and reasonable fast food options including kids meal prices. Would be fab if more rides could have photo opportunity to make digital pass worth it or some sort of selfie area to get some family pics done with green screen. The rides are good quality and the staff are really friendly. It costs the same for a couple of rides at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland as a day pass here. Great day had by all and we snapped up an annual pass in the flash sale (£40pp!) . Will be visiting again soon. Nearby parking is pricey though but we didn't research properly. Probably plenty of options a short walk away.

Had a good day at Adventure land. Kids under 120cms need to be accompanied by an adult , so their ride is free. Staff is friendly. We went to a restaurant in there, food was not great and food items very overpriced. Rest good

Best theme park in the world! No entry fee, very short or zero waiting times. Rage is the best.

Great value for money. It is tricky for single parents with smaller kids as you need an accompanying adult Per child (including on smaller rides where it would be possible to have 2 kids and 1 adult). Staff is really friendly and professional. Queuing system for the wristband (especially when you have a subscription and just need the wristband printed) can be frustrating as it’s not a single queue with the top going to the next available booth. You just pick a queue and hope for the best.

At the end of a busy day on the rides, this was a perfect place for some dinner. The waitress was so lovely and welcoming and the food was super fresh and delicious. Highly recommend a visit if in Southend. Located opposite peer entrance.

Lovely place to visit. It is situated on Southend on Sea. We went to Adventure Island to celebrate our Son's 16th Birthday in March. First we went for the Train Ride on the pier and that was a great experience. Then we went to Adventure Island for rides and lots other things to do 😃. Great place for all age groups. We booked the tickets for Adventure Island in advance and that costs pound 25 per person ( otherwise it will cost pound 35 on gate). Lovely place with Sea, rides, games, food, shopping on high street ect. We will definitely visit again 😃

Fantastic place with rides suitable for young children through to adults. We have annual passes and have been multiple times so a very worthwhile investment. Buying tickets in advance you might get a deal, but you can just pick up tickets when you get there

Fun venue that has been around for many years, good level rides and I think the perfect choice to go with young kids to give them the memories of being at the seaside when a child. Good arcades too for me the favourite is always the basketball machine. There’s a general one price ticket to go on all the rides and deal options are available too, it’s an extra small fee to go onto the pier. Worth visiting if with the family in Southend On Sea

Adventure island is a really good place with amazing rides, Amazing Staff that will keep you safe and secured on the ride, Really nice donuts, It is amazing in the morning, The duck fishing was so worth it!!

Great place with good rides, make sure you go on a nice day and it's probably a once a year job so I don't really see the point in getting an annual pass as I think the kids wouldn't enjoy it again this year.

Very nice park, has very delicious donuts. Uses a card and wristband system, A must go. Very nice rides and very family friendly. Best to buy tickets in advance as wristbands bought in advance cost £25 but are £35 on site.

Absolute dive full of weird people

THE MOST RUDE customer service team I have ever had the misfortune to come across. I asked why I hadn’t been told of a deadline of 31st January to resolve my enquiry when I called on 2nd January. Attitude was ‘no one leaves it that long to chase a response. If we haven’t replied then you should have chased us before now!’ I asked to speak to a manager and was told they were busy on site. Asked for a call back at a time that suited the manager and was told no. When I asked for the lady’s name I was told she doesn’t have to give me that. She then put the phone down on me. I wonder if any of the elusive managers will read this and realise this lady is not doing their business any favours I was asked to email feedback at Stockvale as below.. even sent them evidence that the response by email given directly contradicted the very rude lady I spoke to. Was told they are investigating but nothing since

We used the soft play centre inside and it was amazing. It's only downside is it can take so many children but there's limited seating for the spare parent :)
