I would avoid this place late at night before they close cold food will be nevar going there again

Hired for birthday celebration. Great space and staff. Allowed us to arrange the furniture / decorations as we pleased. Good selection of drinks and lighting was great. Highly recommend for hire for private events or a few cocktails too!

We ordered a meal that contained 5 different dishes, it took over 2 hours to arrive with no communication whatsoever from the workers, so we had to continuously call and chase up where our meal was after being told it would take less than an hour. The food arrived with no explanation of the hold up, it was cold, dry and tasteless. They also gave us one of our dishes completely wrong and our shredded duck came unshredded and was near impossible to shred with how dry it was. Nearly £50 wasted on this meal

Absolutely shocking place. Ordered for a nice new years eve treat and was told a 2 hour wait (understandable because of the occasion). The food came 40 minutes early but came stone cold. My partner found her chicken balls to be raw. The funniest part is that they wanted the food back to give a refund. Are they reusing sent back food?! Grim, never order here!

After many years of amateur, incompetent and unfortunate landlords, crushed by a greedy and unbending national pub chain, this failed village pub has finally closed down. It's now shuttered-up, awaiting redevelopment.

First time visiting Plough & Sail. Went for lunch on New Years Eve and had an excellent meal. Three superb courses plus very friendly & helpful staff. Next time I am that way I will be sure to visit again. It was the best pub meal I have had in a very long time.

AVOID! Waited over 2 hours for our order. When we rang for the third time (after being told it was on its way), they refused a refund or to deliver.

Usual spoons, top quality drinks, top quality value.... you can't beat a spoons.

Went for a meal mother and daughter. Server friendly and noticed we had been waiting a while for our food and chased this up without us having to ask. It was busy and she knew her customers who had been waiting etc. Food was nice when it arrived and hot. Very helpful server, and went extra mile for us. Well done Karla :)

Was served by Phil who was great and super friendly, we all also really enjoyed our half chicken and choccy fudge cake !! :)

Sorry, but what a rip off! The garlic bread was £7.50 ... and was probably the smallest I think I've ever been served in a restaurant! The spaghetti bolognese was okay, but it certainly wasn't worth £16.00. As for dessert, what a joke! All desserts are £8.00, and none of the cheesecakes come with ice-cream etc, which you would expect for that price. Both myself and my friend asked for no chocolate sauce, but when the cheesecakes were put on the table ... initially I was speechless! It was the saddest looking dessert I think I've ever been served, so much so, that I refused to accept paying £8.00 and told the waitress to take it back, that I wasn't paying £8.00 for that! She immediately said she'd only charge us for one, so making them half price. I couldn't fault the staff, all were friendly and checked on us regularly to see if we were okay. And the food arrived promptly. But come on Prezzo, ripping people off will just drive your customers elsewhere, because I certainly won't be returning again any time soon! Nobody likes to feel ripped off!

Terrible service....one till open to order so queued for 25 minutes to order food and then another 45 minute wait for food but was not advised of the waits when they sat us down and nobody seem to care that we had to wait so long....it was bank holiday however the place was not full !!

Actually have the cheek to charge £5 for entry!!! Like REALLY!!! It was awful…terribly outdated music, no atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money.

Attended here one Saturday evening with family. Nicely decorated restaurant and the food was nice, although, yes, the portion size a were on the smaller side, salad doesn’t really cost that much. Service was very slow, only managed 1 round of drinks, no offer of dessert either. Bread was microwaved as it went hard after a few minutes. I asked to pay for gratuity/service by card to which I was told they can’t do it, only restaurant I have ever known that won’t take service/tip by card. I don’t carry cash so couldn’t leave a tip. Which resulted in me getting accosted by a different waiter as we left and abruptly asked if everything was ok, he then rushed over to the table. I can only assume he was aggrieved that we couldn’t leave a cash tip. Not that the service really warranted it. But the passive/aggressive approach is not on. I eat out a lot and always tip via card. I won’t be returning.
