The best restaurants in Rochford East of England

Terrible food and bad service. We went today for my stepdads 89th birthday and on arrival we waited ages at the bar to be served, there appears to be very little staff. In the restaurant the service was also bad, long waits and they kept forgetting things we had asked for, it wasn’t even busy. My sister and I ordered the Chicken Milanese. It was deep fried in a thick batter and tasted only of oil,the skin on fries were also hard and tasteless. It was expensive and definitely not worth the money at all. I’m happy to pay for good food and service. We would 100% not go back and I will not be recommending it to anyone.

Best kfc in the area. Essex not known for fried chicken but this branch rivals the best in London. Not a great dine in experience but doesn’t matter as chicken is great

Family owned with both mum & dad working the kitchen at busier times. Service has improved with the grumpy miserable chap who took orders having left. Gets very busy on Friday & Saturday Standard so allow plenty of time when you order, but usually a fast and efficient service. Standard English Chinese takeaway with typical menu, but all of these types of places cook to a formula. There are some gems in there. Don't be put off, though. This is an above average Chinese takeaway. The quality is consistently good, and portion sizes are generous. We enjoy the beef with chilli & blackbean. The char siu or bbq pork is particularly good one of the best I've had, & can recommend the sweet & sour mixed balls. The Thai curries are also good, fragrant with a kick! £15.00 minimum order value on cash orders. Delivery available. You would be pushed to find better in the district, recommended!

Poor, overpriced. chip portions very small prices gone up not great service won't be using again shame how hard is it to make decent food.

Such good value , very quick and fresh and loverly flavours, would find it hard to fault for the price and quality

Just came home from having a meal wasn’t great! Had a cigarette outside went inside to speak to my husband probably 2 minutes went outside and someone had stolen my full packet of cigarettes, Disgusting how someone can do that; a table next to us a table of 3 were smirking lol will never go there again !!

I've been to Scott's many times but I'm really not sure I'll return soon. Last time the coffee was lukewarm at best,I mentioned it and was told that the baristas were in training and there was somebody there from the coffee company. I was quite heartened by that, hoping the 2nd coffee would be hotter. No, just the same. Visited again on Thursday, coffee not very hot at all. I'm sure I can't be the only person who likes their coffee hot. The teacake was nice , lovely presentation. A little disappointed to see service charge automatically added to the bill.

Two excellent meals on a Saturday night at our local pub. We ate from the restaurant menu. Crab tostada and Prawn and langoustine cocktail starters. Prawn and scallop linguini and Seabass formains; lovely. Waitress was lovely Please don't come......it will make it too busy for us 🤣

I would avoid this place late at night before they close cold food will be nevar going there again
