The halloumi bites were soggy and cold! The pizza was also cold and hardly any toppings

Delivery time wasn’t issue. It was the fact the only thing that came vaguely hot, were the side of wings. The crispy potato’s were soft and some not cooked properly or had cooled down to the state of hard untastful potato we all know. The pizza, the main part was a medium at another takeaway but cold! As a takeaway it would help if the pizza was cut so you don’t have to do it yourself. What a shame

Not good, silver rewards says you get free dough balls, not the case! Pizza was terrible, the manageress was very rude. Only 4 people in the restaurant. Never again Pizza Express.

Slow service, they appeared very understaffed - I felt sorry for those rushed off their feet. It’s was 6pm on a Sunday!! Neither the starters or mains came out together so having to wait around. Quality of the food average, pizzas are like cardboard, edges burnt and cutlery not sharp enough to cut. Expensive and totally flat atmosphere. We won’t be rushing back anytime soon, shame as we used to enjoy Pizza Express.

My first visit to this particular branch. It's in a lovely old building, very quaint. I was advised they were short-staffed and it was busy, but they worked hard to look after us and the food was just as you'd expect.

Worst pizza express ever please don’t bother. The head office should step in and sort out the lack of cleaniness, appalling service and less than mediocre food. Manager has zero interest they got rid of the manager just before a few months ago and he actually was trying! Won’t be back ever again! If you like cold food, warm drinks and stressed waiting staff who take over 30 mins to serve and re serve you each time go ahead!

Honestly stay clear, NEVER any ice, always out of Gin and never actually bother to run across the street to local Tesco to get some. Beer is either in stock and cold or warm. Manager, needs a course on how to manage, never comes to customers when asked to speak to him. Seats are absolutely filthy, I could make a sandwich from the crap at the back of them. Ice machine has been broke for over two months , tables dirty. Complained on a few occasions needless to say worst Pizza Express I've ever had the mispleasure to eat at. Senior Management or owner needs to step in, not how a business should be operated. Oh, the food you ask. All teenagers cooking it and often burnt or not cooked. Not a happy bunny and rather spend my money elsewhere.

First the pizza was cold, then it was the world's thinnest pizza, about 1mm thick. more of a Tortilla than a pizza. The Manager wasn't interested

Good turned up stone cold and chewy and went straight in the bin. First time I have ordered from pizza express, not impressed.

Took a chance and popped in for a table for two. Only to be told there are no tables available as the restaurant was full. But looking around most of the restaurant was empty? The waitress was very helpful just told us that and walked off. Then my wife visited tonight for a meal with friends. Luckily they had booked as one of the empty tables was available. But when ordering they were told most of the menu was not available and the coffee machine was broken. Go to Prezzo or domino’s.

The courier went above & beyond delivering the meal as she was given the wrong location for my address, she was very helpful & friendly!

I think the service was very slow in both order taking and the clearing. there was a young gentlemen on the door who was very friendly and seemed to be doing all the legwork! Pizzas were okay but seemed smaller and under proved. And the dough ball size seem smaller too ….

Anything but express. The table next to us were sat before us, and waited almost an hour to be seen to. We only placed an order because my husband left the table to find someone, otherwise we would have walked out too. Customers were turning other customers away the waiting times were ridiculous. Food is very nice just not worth the wait/price.

One of the worst experiences I've had, the staff had no idea what was going on, what the specials were, more interested in chatting with her colleagues. Waited for 10 mins to be seen to a table only to be served the wrong food.... she tried to say I must have ordered the wrong dish? Avoid, don't waste your time or money at this establishment.

Terrible attitude from waitress. My mum and I wanted to use our Tesco vouchers and have separate bills. She told us we couldn’t use both vouchers at the same table as it’s like getting free food. We said we would sit next to each other on a different table. She said that is just trying to find a loophole. I have eaten out with friends before and we have used our own vouchers. In the end she said we could use them as long as they are all Tesco vouchers which is what we said in the first place. She then walked over to a table, threw the menus down and walked off. Absolutely disgusting service. We ended up leaving saying we didn’t appreciate her attitude and she sniggered. I will never go there again!

Pizza was cold and overpriced not much topping

Following an excellent soul event at Spread Eagle my husband and i decided to treat ourselves to a pizza, n thought could become a monthly regular for a Pizza Express pizza, but will from now in seriously THINK AGAIN. We had to pay £16.45 for a take away thin crust large mushroom of the forest pizza., The disappointment was clear when we discovered the pizza boasted one solo field mushroom and a very bland & pretty much bald base. SHOCKING disgust, see picture (attached below) as permitted. You can buy better versions of what they offered up with more & better quality toppings from Lidl's frozen section for £2! I'd previously been a fan of Pizza Express for years having visited one of their starter restaurants in Holborn 1991. I went on over the years dragging many a friend there stating it wqs no ordinary pizza place and put my mum and her social colleagues onto the chain. This reputation and experience has been blown to pieces in one sole event! Never again will I be ripped off in such a way. If id checked the box before I'd driven away.. I would have returned and demanded my money back. Sadly I had already driven home to then find the boxed horror.

Pizza was alright. Only worth it as it was on a deal. Wouldn’t have been worth it full price. I ordered dough balls.. for £5 I expected better… let’s just say they was pathetic and they looked freezer burnt. Disgusting.

We went on a sunday night, hardly anyone there but the service was so slow. Waited just under an hour for a doughball and bruschetta starter then another 40 minutes for 2 pizzas! I ordered the pizza with salad in the middle, couldn't call it a salad though, just a handful of spinach leaves with some dressing on. Pizzas toppings were very stingy too. Hallumi bites soggy and tasted more like mozzarella bites. Sauce that came with them was very bland think it was just the tomato topping for the pizza bases. It wasn't the waiters fault that there was only 2 staff in the kitchen but he gave the table the excuse next to us that the chef wasn't happy with their polenta chips so remaking them that's why there was a delay, then came over to us to say the chef wasn't happy with our pizza so remaking it. Dont appreciate being lied to just tell us the truth. Also would have been nice to have been told when being seated there would be a big wait for the food. I should have realised it would be bad as when we first got there the table next to us were complaining to the manager about their food and service. We only had a couple of soft drinks each and bill still came to £66. Total rip off for some mediocre pizzas, and soggy hallumi bites. Will not be returning, should have gone to Gamberos or La Romantica.

Just had my order delivered and doesn’t even look edible!l and waited over a hour an half!

Wonderful evening with my girlfriend and Charlie made our visit great. We were not very sure what we wanted but he was very knowledgeable and helpful and his recommendation helped us a lot.

Reserved means reserved not wait 15 minutes for someone to get off your table. And then we waited 35 minutes just for them to mess up my order.

I only came in here as I had a free voucher to use after receiving an absolutely vile, stone cold delivery the week before. I’m really puzzled about the lack of toppings, even when you pay for extra. The mushrooms I added to the order consisted of a few slithers, which, if put together, would not even constitute a single mushroom. I mean, come on! The centre of the Romana is always weird and soggy. In my mind, you should be able to pick up a slice of pizza without half of it slopping limply on the plate. Coffee was almost cold and not great. I don’t get why they are skimping on the cheaper ingredients. Bad for business, I’d say.

It arrived late and was lukewarm at best. Thankfully pizza isn’t the worst thing to be cold and as I had been waiting over an hour since I ordered it I didn’t bother contacting the restaurant.

it was so poor im never using this app again ,the food was freezing cold my pissa was literally a rock and the delivery time changed every 5 mins and went from around 7;20 to 7;50 and it was terrible . i would apreciate a refund on this order as this isnt the first time i have experienced it

It was not so much a pizza as a pancake it was so thin! So I paid £22 including delivery for a damned pancake. no impressed, will not be using you ever again.

Enjoyed a nice lunch here today. Food was tasty and our server was good. My 5 stars, though, are awarded for the attentiveness and customer service given by the man who was running the restaurant today (forgot to get his name) He was welcoming, helpful and did all he could to make us feel valued as customers. Well done!

Had to wait for collection for nearly a further 45 minutes after the stated pick up time. Manager was not particularly helpful nor apologetic whilst stood waiting and would not address me after the initial complaint - rather would ask the wait staff to come and speak with me as the time increased. Asked if they were sure the garlic butter was in the bag which she confirmed - went and checked when in the car, to which not garlic butter, so had to go back in . No appeasement offered.

There was no Ice for the Drinks Half the starters, mains & desserts were not available Three of us ordered Pasta dishes & the waitress came back a while later saying they couldnt cook them yet as there was currently no Pasta dishes. They ran out of wine glasses & glasses for spirits. Two ordered Sundaes but when they came out we were told they had no Sundae Glasses, so one was put in a normal ice cream glass & the other a coffee glass. The waitress tried to make up for it by topping it up but unfortunately the ice cream was just melting running down everywhere. A friend ordered 2 small wines & was charged for mediums, when queried on paying was told you don't do small even though its on your menu as they are to small. How can a restaurant get it so wrong & run like that on a Saturday night when it wasn't even full. We felt for the young waitress who did her best to make up for the utter shambles of the way this restaurant is run. Where was the Manager making sure they everything in order?

The pizza from order to delivery was 1hour 50minutes. The food was cold and poorly presented. I would NOT recommend delivery from Pizza Express. I ordered at 12.30pm and live 10 minutes from the restaurant! Outrageous.

Same tasty food and friendly staff but noticeably decreased portion sizes (mozzarella tomato salad shrunk to around a 1/3 of the size than a couple of years ago) and extortionate prices for the amount of food served.

Terrible. The driver was waiting for over an hour for our order. All other delivery services were able to pick up orders as planned however ours was delayed with no explanation. No real time updates provided apart from showing the driver was there, nobody for us to talk to about why it was delayed. The restaurant told us to talk to Just Eat as they couldn’t help. Not entirely sure what caused there to be over an hour delay on our delivery. The driver also lost out on a full nights business through no fault of his own. Really disappointed with the whole service.

Our pizza was delivered nearly 2 hours later than it first said it would arrive. One pizza had half the cheese missing from it and the other tasted of nothing.

Over 2 hours late no updates on app and when it did update just moved the delivery time called four times left message to call back. No call back. Food was just about warm - will never order from here again.

Delivery man was lovely - gave us updates. Pizza express was so delayed (one hour from earliest estimate), they didn’t answer the phone and when the food arrived it was average.

Pizza had virtually no toppings, it had no tomato at all and 4 tiny sreaky bits of meat, 1 piece on each quarter, I have photo's. Technically it was around 10 to 15 minutes late but the delivery time had already been pushed back by 45 mins. The food was stone cold on arrival. I won't get into the delivery issues. Never again Pizza Express

Terrible experience- no good has been delivered 1 hours 15 min after expected time and it says “delivered” as status. I will never order from you again. Terrible client experience as can’t be in touch with driver nor restaurant. Very disappointing as I was a regular client.

I ordered my food at 5.45pm for 7pm. My delivery was updated to arrive at 7.18, then 7.25pm. At 7.25 I called the restaurant because the status still said “courier at restaurant.” Just Eat say that orders normally arrive within 10mins of the ETA. So I waited until 7.35. I called about 4 times and no one answered. Eventually my order arrived at 7.45pm. It was lukewarm so I’ve then spent extra time heating it up. I’m just really disappointed because I love Pizza Express!

Very chilled atmosphere. Food was amazing. Forgot water which is only negative I could find I always come here for my birthday and will continue to do so.

The staff were really nice, the chef was really nice as he adapted one of the recipes for my allergies of Gluten and Dairy. The service was really good and the general atmosphere was nice!

Was freezing cold and not what I ordered

Went here with family but I was disapointed. The staff were ok and our waitress was attentive and helpful. However the food for me was not great. The starter ordered was: Juicy butterflied king prawns, garlic butter, tomatoes, roasted peppers and chilli flakes with fresh tomatoes, red onion and parsley, served with Dough Balls. Firstly the prawns were not butterfly just standard prawns. The were Luke warm with cold tomato on top. I asked if they were supposed to be hot and was told yes and they took them away to heat up. When they returned they were still only a little warmer but not hot. Also there was zero chili in the dish. I wasn’t expecting it to be really spicy but there was absolutely nothing. The main pizza also arrived Luke warm and some areas actually cold. No idea how a pizza can be cooked fresh and served at a table so cold. Unacceptable and I would not return.

Poor experience. Waited an hour and 12 minutes for order to be delivered. All food was cold and pizza burnt. Garlic butter had fallen upside down and melted in the bag. Dough balls rock hard because they was cold. Never again ordering from pizza express
