Pizza Express in Rochford

I came here with a group of friends for a friends birthday & we wont be returning. There was no Ice for the Drinks Half the starters, mains & desserts were not available Three of us ordered Pasta dishes & the waitress came back a while later saying they couldnt cook them yet as there was currently no Pasta dishes. They ran out of wine glasses & glasses for spirits. Two ordered Sundaes but when they came out we were told they had no Sundae Glasses, so one was put in a normal ice cream glass & the other a coffee glass. The waitress tried to make up for it by topping it up but unfortunately the ice cream was just melting running down everywhere. A friend ordered 2 small wines & was charged for mediums, when queried on paying was told you don't do small even though its on your menu as they are to small. How can a restaurant get it so wrong & run like that on a Saturday night when it wasn't even full. We felt for the young waitress who did her best to make up for the utter shambles of the way this restaurant is run. Where was the Manager making sure they everything in order?

Went here with family but I was disapointed. The staff were ok and our waitress was attentive and helpful. However the food for me was not great. The starter ordered was: Juicy butterflied king prawns, garlic butter, tomatoes, roasted peppers and chilli flakes with fresh tomatoes, red onion and parsley, served with Dough Balls. Firstly the prawns were not butterfly just standard prawns. The were Luke warm with cold tomato on top. I asked if they were supposed to be hot and was told yes and they took them away to heat up. When they returned they were still only a little warmer but not hot. Also there was zero chili in the dish. I wasn’t expecting it to be really spicy but there was absolutely nothing. The main pizza also arrived Luke warm and some areas actually cold. No idea how a pizza can be cooked fresh and served at a table so cold. Unacceptable and I would not return.

Absolutely dire takeaway. This place has gone downhill big time. Second time we've ordered. We only chanced it the second time because they gave us 2 complimentary meals due to burnt food (and when I say burnt I mean black and unedible.) It turned up late so the food was completely cold. Burnt in places AGAIN and missing 2 items, meaning my kids are hungry. I'm fuming. They don't answer the phone. Who is quality checking the orders?? I've emailed AGAIN and this time I expect a refund, after being fobbed off last time. Please do not order from here, you will regret it.

Visited for a quick main course before meeting friends for drinks elsewhere. Service was ok, but pizzas were really small for the price (circa £14-£15 for the classic ones). Not much topping either. 2 pizzas, and two drinks (a large bottle of beer and a Vodka and Diet Coke £45! Won’t be going back! Prezzos in town much better value

Why run on the minimum team during half term if the .angers are too busy doing there office work. I waited at the entrance for about five minutes while the waiter was busy serving, then the manager came out and sat us and the person behind us too. Then, they disappeared to obviously do something more important than serving customers. So the waiter served all the guests in turn, then if it was a drinks order , prepared them. My only criticism of the waiter was he did not acknowledge us. After 10 minutes, we got up and left without being noticed. Sadly another example of big companies run by accountants and not ensuring basic service standards are met. Also back of house management too important to serve during the crunch points. At 12.45 a little help could have put the server in a better position to get it done

This used to be our go-to place for a bite to eat but this visit was the final straw. Shown to a table, probably only 5 others occupied so not that busy. Next couple to come in were seated virtually on our laps despite there being plenty of room. Fortunately they realised how crazy this was and moved. No drinks order taken, staff too busy prepping a delivery order, wrapping it with such care you'd have thought it was a loved one's Xmas gift. After the couple who had come in 5 minutes after us had their order taken first, and despite trying to get the staff's attention, we were apparently invisible so got up and left. Previous visit was not great with long waits, and one couple were very unhappy with their food, but regretably gave them another chance. Maybe dressing up as a pizza express bag and arriving on a moped would get you served quicker.

Sadly this was a disappointment. Obviously as a group of us and dressed to impress it was my birthday get together with friends , but no acknowledgement to me as a special occasion from the restaurant. As mentioned by others my pizza was served with just leaves in the middle with no tomatoes or cucumber not my idea of a salad. Drinks were overpriced . My friends were disappointment with the lasagne. I will not be going back or recommending. A disappointing start to my celebrations. Hence we never had sweet or teas we went elsewhere .

Late lunch with family, did book in advance but needn't have, restaurant was empty, doughball starters (undercooked as usual at any Pizza Express), pizzas and salad for mains, quality seems to be dropping like a brick since Covid, think they've switched to cheaper ingredients which you can taste, used to love their pizzas particularly the Romana base but now it chews and tastes like cardboard. Staff did their best.

To call this Resturant Pizza Express is a misnomer Service was appalling today Sunday at their Rayleigh Essex Branch I had pre booked a table for 1315.No need however only 3 other tables used.Had to wait to be acknowledged by the sole member of staff.We eventually sat down and waited again for the waiter who was personable enough. Having eaten the main course we again waited as we would normally have a desert and then coffee But we had lost the will to live and asked for the bill.We were there from 1310 to 1434 for one course, we both had microwaved pasta dishes Would not recommend and won't return

Nearly £16 for a Leggera American hot … seriously? I didn’t want a dressing on my salad, but I still expected the basis of a salad - not a handful of spinach leaves. Yes, that’s all I got - no lettuce, cucumber or tomato. And the pizza base was very hard and dry. I like a thin base which was the only good thing, but the pizza was no more than 2 inches in depth with very little tomato paste, cheese or toppings, other than loads of jalapeños. I’ve never had a pizza at Pizza Express as I usually have pasta. I’m not sure I’d ever go back.

Just one thing really the pizza we had was like a childs and for fifteen pounds we expected larger service was good but food not worth the money

Came with 11 other friends for a celebration - the restaurant was busy and most of the customers were families, some with babies, plus there was a birthday party going on. The menu was very comprehensive and well laid out, the staff serving were very responsive (in spite of being very busy - could definitely have done with more cover). It was definitely a juggling act to get all 12 main courses served to us a the same time, but this did happen and the food was very appetising and importantly, nice and hot. Good value, nice environment and clean loos! What more could you ask for?

Pizza express is a comfortable restaurant with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and very helpful when deciding what to order. There was a good variety of dishes to choose from and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Great night out with am dram group. Good food, pleasant staff and great atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!

Prebooked our table and arrived on time. Waited an age for a staff member to greet us and show us to a table. Quite a few uncleared tables evident. Ordered our drinks and food. Then we waited.. and waited.. and waited. Other patrons were seated and served and still we waited. Asked our server about the delay. He apologised profusely and promised it would be 5 minutes. We continued to wait. Miraculously 45 minutes after sitting we received our starters. Garlic bread barely warm. Stuffed mushrooms were swimming. We were told the starters were ‘on the house’. Another long wait with no sign of our pizzas resulted in us asking for the bill for our drinks… we were leaving. £9.45 for a glass of wine! Extortionate! We asked the server for the manager and was told he was busy in the kitchen! This place needs serious leadership. Not someone who hides behind the staff. It needs a serious shake up. It was clear the staff were struggling and receiving no direction. The restaurant was only about 1/4 full!

It took 1hr and 30 minutes for the food to arrive we ordered at 7 pm and didn’t get the food till 8:30 pm definitely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointed at how the calzone had hardly anything in it the chef in training was rude rubbish customer service. Will not be returning until they sort the chef in training out or better get a new person to do the job correctly

Pizza party for an 8 year old, was amazing! Staff so lovely, the children were occupied from the moment they got in. Food looked tasty. My girl said 'it was the best pizza party of my life!' well worth the money would recommend to anyone. Thabk you pizza express.

We arrived to collect a takeaway order at the designated collection time, and they hadn't even started preparing the pizzas. They then cooked them, but with the wrong base type for one of them. They offered to replace the incorrect one, but we would obviously have had to wait even longer, and the other one would then have gone cold. They then had the cheek to say they wouldn't charge us for the 'upgrade' to the wrong, smaller base.Other than the wrong base, the pizza was OK, to be fair, but not what was ordered, and ultimately unsatisfactory.

We ordered our food at 6:30 for a family members birthday (she was a child) and got our food around 7:30 but that was only starters we then got our mains finally at 8:30 but they got the orders mixed up and on the calzone there was barely anything inside of it. 2 of the children (one the birthday girl) and an adult ordered pasta and didn’t get their food at all until we complained many times. They burnt the pasta so we had to send it back and then waited a long enough amount of time for the birthday girls meal. We never got the drinks we ordered and all around the service was terrible we had to complain too many times. Wouldn’t advise going in big groups.

Fantastic evening at Pizza Express Rayleigh, huge thanks to the manager & young Milo for looking after us, when there was an error with my partners order. They came over and apologised profusely, which was rectified in a matter of minutes. They also made us a couple of complimentary pizza’s to take away with us. You can’t beat great service like this. We went to the beach for the day and decided to pop in. No one answered the phone so we were unable to book. Social distancing within the establishment was excellent. Slight disappointment was no complimentary masks were offered meaning we had to go back to the car to get them for all four of us. Considering masks are 10p each these days - this surprised me.Kids meals are good value for money and excellent quality.The vegan meze was a disappointment. A mish mash of vegetables and humours - not a real pizza. The combo doesn't work.Veneziana was excellent. Service wise - those that served us were extremely cheerful and great with the kids. Couldn't fault them. My youngest didn't like the pasta - they promptly replaced without charge.Overall a great experience but let downs were:No complimentary masks The vegan meze was far from satisfactory. It's overrated by the description!

This was our first meal out since October last year. The restaurant was really busy and has a really nice buzz to the atmosphere. Service was super, our waiter Liam was just awesome and attentive, the food was as delicious as ever with a few new additions to the menu such as the halloumi side which was delicious. Tables were disinfected and hygiene was spot on with staff wearing masks etc. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Decided to use a gift card brought for us as a Christmas present for a takeaway on Friday evening. ordered two normal pizzas and one gluten free. The food quality of the pizzas was very poor the gluten free one was inedible.

Glad to see Rayleigh has re-opened, popped in with my sis for a catch-up. All COVID measures in place, shown to our table and explained how to order via the App, which I must say was a bit of a faff, but I completely understand the need. Food arrived quickly and was excellent as always. Great service too. We were not hurried along either when we were having a chat. Had a thoroughly lovely experience, thank you.

Lovely meal and great service. Pizza was brilliant as was the service. Would recommend, but try not to bring kids and spoil it.

Interesting meal post Covid, great service, but a little sterile in every respect! Menu via online link, ordering also possible via qr code and payment too! Some seating was a little too close for social distancing

Never disappointed with the food or service here. I nearly always have the Pollo Pesto - total creature of habit but it’s always so tasty. My children love the kids menu. Great for lunch or dinner. Feels COVID safe. Tables are distanced and hand sanitizer is by the welcome desk which you are expected to use.

Went for a family meal tonight , the food was nice but rude staff , I won’t return , we had a 3 course dinner then we was told they were getting our bill as they needed table back before we had even finished , so basically told to leave. It’s expensive so at least give people time to enjoy there meal , we don’t go out much so it was a treat to us then we get treated this way , I find this rude and very unacceptable.

Rayleigh branch visited on 20dec with family , service superb ,prices reasonable good gluten free options and food great as always , highly recommended.

Family group of 9 and a mixture of orders positive? All arrived together negative, sloppy overpriced poorly cooked pizzas. Thin pizzas should be chrisp with small burnt spots these were very average.

The Rayleigh Pizza Express is a pretty decent one. Lovely pizza, a nice building but the sides are quite expensive, nearly a fiver for some coleslaw is pretty excessive in my opinion! However if you're looking for a child friendly place and a pizza you can't go far wrong.

Standard Pizza Express fare. Good service, well attended and polite. We would rate this above the usual Pizza Express in terms of service.....

If they were under-staffed we should have been advised before going in, this was 4pm on a Sunday and the tables were covered in crap from the lunch rush, i can only imagine because the people that came in for lunch had only just left cause it takes so long to get anything! We had the 11.99 2 course - deal, food was good and the waitresses were alright however, everything was just so slow. There was 3 of us and ordering and the dough balls arrived pretty sharpish but from then to leaving it took 2 hours. Our waitress left without saying anything and we ordered a dessert which failed to appear for about 35 mins and we were then brought over a sloshy mess as there was 'something wrong' with the pudding and this was attempt number 3. It doesn't take 2 seconds to let someone know whats going on. It seemed like they were horrifically understaffed and we won't be going back anytime soon, which is a shame because the food is good!

After a visit here tonight for a birthday treat for my granddaughter, I must say won’t rush to go back !

Visited family and decided to go there for very early evening meal. Went with our son and daughter-in-law, and our grandchildren (5 years and two). Staff were fantastic, friendly, and let us choose where we preferred to sit. The food was delicious and well presented. Our 'dairy-intolerant' daughter-in-law was able to enjoy a gluten-free/vegan pizza and our grandchildren demolished 3 courses with absolute delight. There were colouring sheets and crayons too to keep them occupied. A really lovely family meal.

I Worte a review on this restaurant when it first opened and said the staff needed training. Having returned a few times since I think it is only fair to write a new review to say that it is much better now. We took my son and 5 of his friends here for his 13th Birthday Lunch and the service was fantastic. Quick and efficient and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Thank you so much. We will be back.

My daughter took me to Pizza Express for Lunch. We had sun dried tomatos and olives, Then calamari and dough balls, follow by Two very yummy pizza. My daughter is a vegan and she also Enjoyed the food.

Nan and little one like it grandad thinks pizza's are over priced. Service is always good. The place ia always clean.

Place was very busy but the waitress, without fuss, found us a relatively quiet table when my husband explained that I have problems with excessive noise. Our waiter was very attentive and service was pretty good on such a busy evening.

I am a regular visitor to Pizza Express and was disappointed with my last visit. Very slow service so when my main dish arrived I was so disappointed to see a fly jumping around in my pasta dish. It was quickly replaced by the manager but was just shrugged off and replaced. There was no apology or discount for this. I definitely won’t be visiting this restaurant again.

Came here last night with a friend and had a really lovely meal. They have some new items on the menu which I really enjoyed - bolognese ragu and the raspberry ripple cheesecake dish for dessert. Both were amazing!! Really nice venue this one, nicely decorated inside.

My son and I visited as a treat today. Restaurant was freezing (grown men sitting in their coats, other men rubbing their hands together for heat). Food came luke warm, no pizza cutter given to my son, no asking if we would like Parmesan etc. Waited an age for the waitress to get the bill. Usually go to the Festival Leisure branch which is so much better. Overall a big disappointment.

Went out for a birthday mael and as always with Pizza Express you know what you are going to get. Good tasty food, good service and a reasonable bill.

We were given some vouchers for Pizza Express so visited the Rayleigh branch today. We were seated promptly and drink orders taken but unfortunately it went downhill from there. My husband ordered a bottle of sparkling water - no glass arrived. Asked two waitresses before finally getting one. Eventually someone took our order. Food average but do bear in mind I am a Prezzo and Bella Italia fan so probably comparing. Then we waited to get someone to give us the bill!!! Well, there were as many staff as there were tables filled but they seemed more concerned with refilling the fridge with drinks or wandering around than attending to customers. It was not just us as the table next to us complained about their food but seemed to get a negative response. They asked for the dessert menu and then waited an age to order. In fact it was the lady at that table who finally got a waitress and alerted her to the fact that we were waiting too. They gave up on the dessert and just ordered coffee as they had to be somewhere. The atmosphere was dreadful as people were getting bored with waiting and trying to attract attention from staff. Avoid this place - they don't seem to want your money.

Booked for evening meal one Saturday, very busy & noisy!

Popped in lunch. Nice airy and clean. I had pollo salad which is served with warm dough sticks. Really tasty. My husband had calabrese rectangle pizza. Lots of toppings and flavour good friendly service. Nice seat by the window.

Despite being a chain, I am always impressed with the service and value here. We had a big party and nothing was too much trouble . They made sure the elderly members of the party were well looked after. I had calamari then american hot with soft egg and chilli oil ...was lovely. Would recommend.

Pizza Express is always good value for money 'with the coupons and special offers'; Rayleigh is no exception. Staff are friendly and efficient and the pizzas were great. Love the vegetarian pizza options even though I'm not.

Good old Pizza Express always comes up trumps. Please family diners, show consideration for other diners and staff. Control your children. Thank you.

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff, have been here a few times and have never had a bad meal however they have edited the best dessert on the menu by adding rasberries!!!Very disappointed about this, it was nowhere near as nice. I may have to start a petition to get it back on the menu.

Lovely to have a local restaurant which is easy going serving good food by friendly pleasant staff. I really can’t see why anyone wouldn’t be happy visiting here. It’s not silver service.. it is a chain restaurant after all but a very good example .. it’s deservedly busy, affordable and just a nice place to go.

I used some tesco vouchers to pay for this meal, you just have to pay for the drinks.

We turned up for my birthday meal just as all hell descended on the restaurant. Long wait bit our waitress who was obviously having a bad time was excellent throughout...I don't know her name but sge was brilliant lunchtime Wednesday. ..she deserves a medal

Went to Pizza Express with our daughter and her partner, we have been to pizza express lots of times but just wanted to say that the staff, service and food were excellent.

Arrived at 13.20 and was seated promptly by a polite waitress. Was then approached by a blonde waitress that could only be described as having a facelike a bull dog chewing on a wasp. Our order was taken which included the bolognese, another pasta dish and a kids pizza. We proceeded to wait for 30 mins for our food and then the waitress came over to tell us that the bolognese was not available and what else would we like: now I understand that some things are out of stock but it took 30 mins for them to tell us this. We then ordered a pizza and also requested that the kids pizza be brought out of it was ready. Was told it wasn’t ready, however the waitress walked over to the kitchen area and was handed over the pizza in which she then proceeded to cut the pizza with her hands. (That had not been washed. ) our food was brought over in which I can not complain about. But the service was very slow and customer service was shocking. Rude, impolite, better off going to ask Italian

Me and my mother went to Pizza Express for lunch and we were looked after amazingly, the food was delicious I've always had positive experiences dining here would definitely come back again

Im going to sound like a right moaner but If there's one thing I can't stand its poor service, and here they have it in abundance, staff were miserable it felt more a case of what do you want than are you ready to order now and slow to clear plates and if you want dessert menu well expect to wait at least 20 minutes for waitress to ask you and then another 20 minutes to be asked if you want to order I was beginning to think I was invisible, not quite the birthday celebration we were hoping for. Pizza was exactly what it was a pizza I've had better I've had worse. was overcharged tho this was rectified quickly. Wouldn't ever go back there are better places to have pizza in Rayleigh preferably somewhere where you can get a smile

Booked a family table for 4 on Saturday evening at 6pm. We were seated no problem but that was the best it got. Service was so slow throughout I thought we had rolled into Sunday and the waitress was miserable. Whilst we were there an older lady at the table near us sat down on a chair that then broke leaving the lady looking embarrassed and on the floor. It took at least a minute for any staff to go over to her and all she got was a sorry. When we finally got our bill, after another long wait, we were charged for spaghetti that we hadn't even ordered!! Overall very disappointing and despite living in Rayleigh we will never go back!!

We are regulars at PX Rayleigh. Last night was exceptional because the whole ordering / billing system was down, so the unfortunate staff had to resort to pencil, paper and mental arithmetic. No credit card terminals either so Cash only payments.

Took my children for an early dinner the venue it cosy with a nice feel about it and nicely decorated and clean. The food was fresh and tasty, staff working well keeping an eye on things

Nothing wrong with this Pizza Express but it's a clone of all the others you've ever been to. Not bad, not wonderful, just a reliable place for a fairly good lunch . The pizzas were both fine, as were the drinks and the prices. Best described as "reliable" I suppose.

Came here after last night for dinner with a friend, the man on the front desk was very helpful and accommodating and gave us a lovely table in the window (recommend). They had the Christmas lights in the window and the tree up which gave it a lovely cosy feel.

Can always get seated here, always enjoy the food. The service isnt always 100% and i think the toilets could do with being checked more often. But you can always rely on a pizza express to fullfill your pizza cravings.

I decided to have the more slimming pizza with the middle cut out and filled with salad. Granted, I asked for no onions, but was very underwhelmed when my 'salad' was a handful of basic lettuce leaves and one and a half cherry tomatoes! I couldn't even see the tomatoes at first and said it looked boring to the girl who brought it over "Sorry " she said over her shoulder in a fairly dismissive tone.

We are regular visitors to this Pizza Express and on the whole we are usually very happy with the service and food. Today was different.

We had a voucher and so went without a booking and were seated within minutes. The manageress showed us to our table and was very attentive throughout without being annoying. My wife had a pizza and I asked if they did a calzone as there wasn't one on the menu. There was no problem and we had a lovely meal. We will go back even without a voucher.

Just got home from a very packed pizza express! Poor staff rushed off their feet and every table paying with Tesco vouchers! Why not! Great starters, pizza was too greasy but dessert was lovely.

Really friendly, we got sat at a lovely booth, there is free wifi and great food. I ordered the calamari, garlic doughballs and the antipasti for starter then a farmhouse pizza for mains - We were too full for dessert although the menu looked tempting!

We often eat out on Sundzy for lunch so we chose this week Pizza express

Visited Pizza express rayleigh on several occasions. The usual pizza but with an extra special service. Staff friendly, serving with a smile, fast and very efficient. Good atmosphere. Great place to take the family.

We visited here, as our daughter has recently become vegan and it is fairly difficult to meet 5 different people's tastes. However we were all catered for nicely and left with very full bellies and goodie bags in tow. The menu was varied with lot of choice and the staff were friendly (although could be more knowlegeable, but did do their best to answer any queries) I have to say some what overpriced...a few pence short of £150 for 5 but hey it was a treat night and your only 16 once hey Would certainly go back. All in all a nice evening out, without any hitches...i would recommend pre-booking.

Consistently a good restaurant. Every time I've been the pizza and service have been excellent. The staff are always very efficient and appear to be happy. I would like to thank the group of waitresses that were working there on Saturday 1 July 2017 for their hard work. I was with friends and they judged the service just right and three of them served us our coffee at the same time. A very worthy five stars.

Great Sunday early eve meal - even better with £5 main meal offer from O2. Loved the place, busy but didn't feel crowded, lovely waitresses polite friendly & helpful. Good venue, nearer than trip to Pizza Express in either Southend or Brentwood. Thank you!

My daughter took me here for lunch. It was busy but not too manic. Received a warm welcome, friendly staff. Very clean and the food was very, very nice. Prompt service and helpful staff. Good portions well presented and great value for money. Will defiantly go back again and would recommend.

Three of us called in for dinner. Surprised how empty it was but still a good atmosphere. One Sloppy Giuseppe & two Zapparoli's soon appeared. All meals got the thumbs up. Very good service too. Recommended.

We have been several times since it opened. The first time was not great but it was christmas and very busy. Since then each time has been great. I especially love the salmon risotto and the coffee and small dessert option although it is not cheap!

5 of us went without booking. A friendly waitress welcomed us and found us a nice table and made sure we were happy. We liked the menu choices and all ordered food we liked the look of. Service was fun and positive. Starters were dough balls and goats cheese salad. Nice dipping oils provided too. The main course Pizza's arrived on time and looked great! We were excited to get our individual meals, ranging from a pepperoni pizza, vegan options, kids meals and a plain cheese pizza. All were cooked nice and​ hot with melted cheese and sauce oozing on top. The pizza smelled amazing. We all enjoyed the taste and noticed there was no grease, like you get on some. We were looked after and any thing we needed the waitress got for us. The restaurant was a nice size and we liked that you can watch the food being made in the open plan kitchen. We will be going back again !

I did note that the tripadvisor score wasn't great, but thought, it's Pizza Express, it will be fine. My Pizza came with a burnt section but I didn't complain because I was so hungry and could eat around it. However the other ingredients were either not fresh or low quality.The nduja sausage was non-existant and the kids pizzas were thrown together !

As all Pizza Express I've visited pleasant staff, fresh made food and easy going. The Rayleigh branch is no different. The blankets on the outside tables (as the sun hadn't reached that side yet) a nice touch though nobody took advantage whilst we where there.

Have visited this restaurant several times in recent months and have always been met with good service and good food. The staff are very efficient and welcoming. They are always good with the kids as well. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

You can never go too wrong with Pizza Express. I had a lovely lasagne today albeit the waitress we had seemed a bit moody.

Saturday night out with the family, was the occasion. We were welcomed as we entered, instant connection and our son was asked about adult menu or child, he is 11, and then taken to our table. It was a lovely atmosphere for 7pm and all staff were very helpful and friendly. pizza choice was large, and lots of other dishes to choose.

We Went here for lunch with the family , the service was very good , the staff are all very friendly , the food was very nice and it was all served at once which is nice given we all ordered different things ,my only slight niggle was that the tables and condiments could do with a good clean but that's my OCD kicking in !

We visited pizza Express, and we had a fantastic time from start to finish, we got seated straight away, we have two young children and the lovely waitress was very helpful, we got our drink orders in straight away and received them quickly too. The waitress we had was very friendly, and helpful. She took our orders and we received them also very quickly. I really could not fault my experience, food was lovely as usual and waitress was really polite. I will definitely be recommending and returning. Thank you Rayleigh Pizza express.

After having an opticians appointment we decided to try here before heading home.

After a weekend break called in for a quick bite to eat. Mel our waitress was once again fabulas, always attentive and bubbly.

*smell* *smell* Do you smell pizza ?? Pizza express is the best pizza in the world. One reason is the pizzas are healthy and the food are healthy. And the pizzas are cheesy and the pizzas are smells good. Do you want to go to pizza express now ??

Had mixed experiences in this restaurant but things seem to have really gone downhill. Went out for a family meal and the food was definitely below average. All 3 of us had pizzas and none of them were quite cooked properly. The floor round our table and high chair were not clean. I expect to wipe over a high chair before using it but the caked on food took it to another level.

Once again, a huge thank you to the staff at Pizza Express Rayleigh. Great food and great service. Accommodated a birthday table of teens celebrating, while we were on another table over the other side of the restaurant. Treated the girls as adults and could not have done any more. A success for the second year running. A perfect celebration for what was required.

Me and my husband booked for 8:15pm on a Saturday, we were not seated until nearly 9 o clock. We were left to stand by the door for all that time staring out at other people eating, no apology or explanation my the manager. 4 other couples who had also booked came in shortly after us and we're left to wait too.
