Always a pleasure staff always very welcoming and friendly and chatty food is always cooked fresh when we arrive decent portion size and prices are good

Lovely fresh pub, recently renovated I’d say, sadly no food was available, but if you want a drink in a beautiful environment, this is the place. Great frontage, plenty of outdoor furniture and a superb place to catch the afternoon sun and watch the world go by.

Visited here whilst staying in Clare. Best sourdough seeded bread I have had, pastries all excellent, took a loaf home for my daughter who also raved about it!

Nearly missed it as new to Stowmarket and there was scaffolding outside! Browsed St Elizabeth charity shop until a table empty. Very busy, but happy, chatty place! Lovely chicken mayo and bacon sandwich although bread perhaps a bit too thick. Lovely side salad. Lovely hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Pleasant lunchtime.

We ordered two combo meals which was a really good deal! We got wagu burgers, nacho cheese fries and buffalo wings which we paired with strawberry cheesecake milkshakes. The wagu burgers we okay but just tastes like a standard burger to be honest, the wings were delicious came with chillis and a nice spicy sauce. The nacho fries came coated in cheese and didn’t skimp out on flavour ! All together it was a great meal but I would have liked to spend a little less on it as some of the items were really pricey if you what extra bits, but all together a nice change!

Friendly welcome, terrific Sunday roast, pleasant setting. Would happily return.

Good clean rooms and tasty food. Isolated location which means quiet and nice grounds but not much to do as no leisure facilities. Was surprised to see £10 tray charge on bill on checkout for room service as not warned of this when ordering - 5 star hotels in London charge much less, they only had to walk at most for one minute and I even collected drink as phone in room did not work and I had to order in restaurant.

What a lovely village pub, very warm and welcoming, great happy staff. Food looked amazing, Will definitely return and try the Sunday roast lunch.

Perfect all round. Food was to die for!! Will definitely be going again.

We had been hoping to visit the Fox & Goose for some time, so we were pleased to have the opportunity of finally eating there. The welcome was really friendly and shown to our table. We had a choice of the Pub Specials or Pub Classics, plus a special vegetarian menu for my wife. There was an excellent selection of dishes to suit all tastes. The food was well presented, hot and tasted really good. The portion size was also very good, sometimes you go to some restaurants and you get a minimalistic portion. There was also a very nice dessert selection, but we couldn't manage this. A wide range of wines at reasonable prices. Need to check the front cover for the wine by the glass and lower priced wines. This was on a Saturday night and the Fox & Goose was full, so you will need to book. We were impressed that the 3 waitresses looked after about 50 covers very efficiently. We will be returning.

Always a great experience. Coffee served hot and a good selection of food and snacks.

Had a lovely meal, couldn't fault the choice of food, the staff were helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.
