I would like to thank the lovely staff and the great food that we were served when we went for Sunday lunch last weekend The Chef/Owner came out into the restaurant to ask if we were all ok and asked if anyone was cold to which I said I was and he then kindly moved my partner and myself to a table right next to the roaring fire I would like to thank all those who worked on the Sunday especially the young girl who bought us our mains who had the most beautiful smile Thanks for making our time at your Pub fantastic Will be back

Really lovely pub full of friendly locals in the bar and three good ales at reasonable prizes. Been here a few times now as my oldest friend lives in the town and I always pop in when I’m here and time permits. Had some fish from the outside grill while the usual Owner/Chef was recuperating and it was gorgeous! Will be back here every time I come to visit for sure, cheers!

Traveled for a drink and food to find it was closed

Coming from a seaside area full of pubs homogenised by St*neg*te I was so pleased to visit the Queens Head a few times over the weekend! A proper decent old pub, Lee and his team are fab and so friendly, great to see a pub that still takes care of its locals too. Didn’t eat but food looked brilliant especially the Yorkshire puddings. Hope to be back again soon.

Lovely pub, food is great, staff are lovely too!! Can't rate the food here highly enough, and there is always a friendly atmosphere. We highly recommend it and we will definitely be returning!

Last week we went to the Tapas evening. Excellent value and quality. We were recommended to come for Sunday lunch, and we're not disappointed. Very generous portions, beautifully cooked. Very friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to the French evening

Although not fully open when I fetched up looking for a coffee, really helpful and friendly staff sorted me out with an excellent brew, and an opportunity to catch my breath during a little two-wheel motoring adventure round Norfolk and Suffolk.

Stopped to have lunch here. Sat outside with the dogs. Yes, there were building works going on, but there was no real care about anything in the garden. Pretty grim really. The food was dreadful!!!! I had some sort of goats cheese and onion tart...awful. The coleslaw that came with it I'm sure was off. It tasted foul. My wife's fish and chips was very very average. She had to leave most of it. We just arrived in Suffolk for the weekend. This was the first pub we found. Not impressed at all. Later, we spoke to some locals who said, bad mistake going there. They recommended a pub whose name I forget now, think it had horseshoe in the name. We went to that pub the following day and had an amazing meal. So, bad experience with the food here. Service was OK....

Delicious homemade food (particularly pizza and curry) with good portion sizes. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Will definitely go again!

We have been to the Queens Head a number of times and the food is excellent. The sunday lunch is honestly the best I've ever had and the pubs atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Brilliant food, great company. Very welcoming. Dogs very welcome; couple of grumpy locals - but added to the quirkiness of the environment. Overall, a great little local. I will definitely return.

Have been going to the queens head for a number of years seeing different landlords come and go. I have to say the most recent landlord Leigh has turned the place around. Always a warm welcome and great food to be had from the inside kitchen or the outside bar and grill. Great beer and good times highly recommend

I met a friend for a drink at short notice on Sunday and decided to get some food. Asked at the bar if they were still serving and the chef came out and said that he’d turned everything off but that he would happily cook anything I wanted! Lovely pub, really nice staff and the food was great. The chef even gave us extra food and then brought over a bowl of leftover roast potatoes. Was annoyed with myself I didn’t have any cash to leave a tip so thought I’d leave a review instead because we were so pleased with the location, friendliness, and the delicious food.

Really disappointed. Nice old building but rather rundown especially internally. Staff availability and friendliness was pretty hit and miss. Probably to busy on their phones and chatting to their mates. It appears mainly a regulars pub, so expect the Stares and talk about you if your not known. Food was slow to appear after ordering and overpriced for what we received, considering the quality was pretty lacklustre. Our disappointment was compounded when a short while ago it was published in local newspapers and on the Food standards agency site that this pub recently received a 1 star good hygiene rating with major improvement necessary!! I Will we return, No,not unless major improvement is made.

Superb vegetarian and vegan pub/restaurant.

Not a busy pub (2.30pm) but staff not very attentive. We had to walk all around the pub to get to a seating area for food as the door was locked at the entrance (no good in a fire). We had very average food after a longer wait than expected but perhaps they had staff shortages? We had veggie burger (£14) which was very average and cajun chicken (£16) which was extremely greasy (expected a bit of oil from the chirozo, but it was swimming in it). We had a long wait after finishing our food to pay as the server had disappeared and no one behind the bar. You could smell the toilets whilst eating our food which was horrible. We felt the food was over priced for the quality we were served when we visited.

What a fantastic friendly pub. We called in for a bite to eat but unfortunately the chef had taken ill. However, we were looked after by the team who told us to go get fish and chips and bring them back. On top of that we were provided with salt and vinegar and even cutlery! Then to top it off the Tumble Home was a fantastic pint, all sat by the real fire.

Been to the queens head for Sunday lunch today and it was the best roast I’ve had. The food and service was outstanding and the atmosphere is friendly warm and welcoming. A little gem in Eye. Leigh cooks incredible dishes and the staff Di, Sharon and Liam were attentive and extremely helpful. Beautiful place with wonderful people.

Had Sunday lunch at the pub today and 5 stars isn’t enough. The service was fantastic from Liam, Di and Sharon nothing was too much trouble even from a demanding table of 5 🤣 The food was absolutely delicious and such generous portions and the dessert was just amazing! Leigh works so hard and the food reflects his dedication to a little gem of a pub. If you are looking for amazing food, great staff and a friendly atmosphere then look no further than the Queens Heads 🥰

We was recommended this little gem of a place booked on Saturday for Sunday dinner and was we delighted with our roast dinner I had the beef and was asked how would I like my beef done rare of course hubby had beef and pork a lovely piece of crackling on top which he doesn’t like but I loved it everything home cooked roast pots yummy and Yorkshire pudding loads of everything the staff were attentive our puddings were superb bisscof cheesecake and lemon pudding had to be done will definitely be back when up here again

We didn’t plan to go here, but after deciding to go for a walk we ended up in Eye, saw the pub was open so decided to go in. What a great pub, the owners made us feel as welcome as their favourite regulars. It has a really warm, friendly vibe and both me and my partner are thinking of returning soon. It would be great if we could duplicate the owners and have them run one of our pubs in Costessey.

Amazing! The food was delicious, service was great, all the staff were very attentive - great festive atmosphere as you arrived. The owner also gave our table a complementary drink during our meal which was so lovely and thoughtful. Impeccable host and amazing food. We all ordered pretty much of the Christmas Menu, all the starters - mains and desserts were delicious, very well presented and really reasonably priced. There was 11 of us in total, all our meals came out at the same time, the staff checked on us throughout the meal and offered to get us drinks and bring them to the table, considering how busy the pub was, we were all really impressed and really enjoyed our Christmas get together! We visited the Queens Head with friends in a recommendation for Sunday lunch, and did not disappoint! Wow what a roast, absolutely perfection. Would recommend to anyone, but would also say skip Breakfast.

Had an excellent Sunday roast here. And then the dessert was homemade and to die for. Wish we had one each instead of sharing! Fantastic service throughout and such a lovely pub. Would highly recommend!

Great pub. Five of us turned up unannounced, late lunchtime on Monday (today). Was told they didn't do food on Monday. As we were leaving, we were approached and asked what we were looking for in the way of food. We only needed a sandwich. We were invited back in and served with some lovely sandwiches and bowls of chips. So grateful and much appreciated.
