Fabulous food at a fabulous place. A new discovery for me, and I’ll definitely be heading back next time I’m that far south!

The host was very welcoming to a warm and atmospheric old pub. Waiting staff were all extremely efficient and friendly. The lunch was very tasty with a good amount of vegetables and crispy roast potatoes. Dessert was homemade and cheese board abundant with great local cheeses and good crackers. It was a relaxing unhurried meal and the menu was large enough to cater for all tastes! Thanks to all and we will return.

Excellent food and great service. We were a very large group of 20, only booked the night before and they accommodated us well. The staff were lovely and very patient with us! The food was brilliant. Thank you!

Food was dry . I could not eat the chips, they were so hard, and dry. . Main dish was tough I could only eat half a dish. I wasted £16 on food. I phoned at next convenient time and was told she would speak to owner as she did not know where she was and get her to phone me back. I never heard , after a while of waiting I phoned them back, if I hadn’t I doubt I would have even got a phone call back back , and then was told owner was in bed very ill , she then came to the phone, and after a while they said they would give me a free dish but I would have to pay delivery charge. I was then handed to a man who I presume was her partner, as she kept asking if I understood. He tried to say it was because I didn’t like the food, and didn’t really know the menu as to what the dishes were. . I explained I couldn’t eat it all because of the way the quality of food was, In the end I told them to forget it, and told them I would put a bad review on here. This I won’t accept. Last time I use this Takeaway. Staff not at all helpful. I normally use a different Chinese Takeaway but because of time I ordered, I made a mistake and used this one as I saw some good reviews, I now see ones similar to mine. Whilst I was on the phone making complaint, I was even cut off from call. When I phoned back I was told there was an incoming order, I explained they should not cut me off phone as I was still important. So rude. They don’t even show full delivery charges on their menu, only upto a 3 mile radius. Any further you get shocked at charge when you order. Please Think twice before using this Takeaway for Chinese food.

Nice pub. Food was decent and unpretentious, staff were really good. Good atmosphere and a nice location. Can't fault it.

As friends, four of us try to get together once a month to try a different place to eat. After a delicious meal earlier in the month, I suggested we tried the Christmas Menu at the Fox and Hounds. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely evening with delicious food. The Christmas set meal was amazing. I particularly enjoyed the Salmon but the Turkey looked equally appealing. Full marks to all the team at the Fox and Hounds.

I have always enjoyed the food in this restaurant but as for customer service I received Sunday night was disgusting the girl on the phone was so rude and her attitude was disgusting I will never go back there all the time I'm going to receive that sort of customer service even put the phone down on me first time.

We were unhappy at having to wait an hour for our meals last night and received a public dressing down from the chef when we said so. Readers may be pleased to know that food is cooked from scratch but this is not made clear anywhere on the menu or by the waitress when ordering. This place describes itself as a pub, not a fine-dining restaurant. Being publicly humiliated spoiled our experience of the food and we won't be going there again.

Lovely freshly cooked wholesome British food, with some interesting twists on the specials board, more than just pub grub. I had steak, tomato and almond pie, mashed potato, carrots, cabbage and green beans followed by damson Panna cotte

The pies are of poor quality Especially the nut/ mushroom I think they forget to add the the nuts and mushrooms The staff were very goo

Didn’t know what to expect but we were delighted with the whole evening. The staff were wonderful, the wine was fantastic and the food was superb. Two of our party are vegetarian and the Brewers did not disappoint, Cannot fault it. The restaurant was also dog friendly which is a big bonus. This is not the cheapest of places to eat but worth every penny. As we have just moved to the area we are delighted with this eatery and definitely will return. There are so many mediocre pub/restaurants but this is not one of them.

Best Fish and chips I have ever had. 10/10 better then Rick Steins in Padstow. Always consistent, love that’s is family run too. Keep up the great work 😊
