The best restaurants in Mid Suffolk East of England

Lovely location and great staff totally ruined by the swearing people in Sports Bar - just F after F all very sad- no control at all and no recognition of women and children !

We have eaten here a number of times over the past years. All four of us felt the food quality has deteriorated. My first course of pork belly was overcooked and far too salty. I could not finish it. My main course of Tandoori Chicken on flat bread was nothing like I expected - tough chicken - over seasoned/salty yet not tasting of curry- the flat bread difficult to cut snd with no flavour. My wife’s chicken wings tasted weird and neither of us finished our meals. The waitress took our opinions to the kitchen and was helpful. The response was that the food was fresh - that wasn’t the problem. Four of us had eight seven dishes between us none of them of restaurant quality

Really great food and the chap that I assume is the owner is so personable, however the girl is very rude and untrained in any customer skills, she clearly would rather be anywhere else but working there, It’s such a shame as this has made us reluctant to go in there. She really upset my daughter in law with her critical look and smirk, thankfully she then returned to her phone screen.

We were party of 24 for an evening meal - The meals & service by Taff Luke & Jack were excellent. All the starters came up together which is amazing for such a large party & the same for the meal - Such a variety of food to suit all tastes - We will be rebooking our family meal out at the The Bramford Cock .

This was not in half term so could understand a little mess. Food was only greggs...the place was a state,they want to charge 70p extra to sit in this place not good at best as still get paper cup and still get paper bag plus....messy tables,messy seats,tissue everywhere on floor...was in there for Iver an hr and did not see a cleaner doing tables etc...gotta be the worse services iv been and over priced. Pointless putting more pics up,it was the same on most tables. They make all this money not to even make the road drivable...it should be re surface really.

Generally the worst food ever experienced in a spoons. Gourmet Burger, wife said would rather have McDonald's. Steak, rare as wanted, full of fat and like rubber. Chicken Strips .. boy said McDonald's or Dominos better.

The toilets here are still absolutely filthy. There appears to be weeks of built up grime and stains on all of the toilets/seats that hasn't just appeared over the last couple of days or so. Deep clean is very much needed.

The fish and chips used to be excellent but the last good quality food I had from here was in spring 2023. Not sure if the owner changed but food certainly. The cod is always very good, but the chips are actually not edible each time. The smaller chips are so dry and hard that they go to bin each time. Only the larger chips are ok. Yesterday I ordered chicken strips and they were hard and dry. Looked and tasted like they were re-heated or re-cooked. What happened to this quality chip shop?

chose a freshly baked cheese and onion bake and a sausage roll, on the bag it said"caution freshly baked products may still be very hot" they were stone cold! When I asked them to be warmed the member of staff said they were not in the hor choice cabinet? They were displayed in a cabinet at the counter with the tills saying freshly baked? Obviously a false trades description

We ate two nights in the restaurant. The menu may be a little limited and the nights specials did not change but the food was very good quality. It was tasty, well cooked and hot. The eventual bill was a pleasant surprise being quite economical for what we had. A major advantage of this restaurant is the staff. All we friendly and attentive and obliging to our needs. Thoroughly recommend it.

I had a Beautiful Birthday Cake created by the the very talented Helena. Made to my designe over the phone it was perfect and very tasty. Exceeded my expectations.

La comida del gran Bratwurst es igual que el que está en los lugares en Alemania, en la que he estado. su muy buena pero prefiero estilo inglés salchichas un poco más. El servicio es muy amable y una buena adición a la zona del mercado

The best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Yes maybe the owner is not very friendly to some people but he is definitely not rude to everyone. We waited a while, but the restaurant culture is to serve the fish hot and fresh, they do not serve the fish by cooking it and keeping it waiting. It tastes amazing. Our Friday Night Classic

Always know what your getting st mccadonalds. Not always quickest at busy times or late night.

Visited Burger King and Gregg’s, as they share the same building. Absolutely disgusting, the dining area had food all over the floor. The toilets were filthy. Staff in Gregg’s have no customer service skills! We’re totally uninterested in my custom. I won’t be returning and do not recommend anyone else goes!
