Costa Coffee in Mid Suffolk

Staff are excellent! Happy and professional! The drinks are always made to spec and perfect everytime! Mine and my mums favourite Costa!

I met a friend for lunch today and ordered two drinks with two different Xmas flavours, but both were presented to us with the same flavour despite the receipt and accompanying chocolates being different. It’s a shame as it wasn’t what I wanted but I was feeding my baby so couldn’t be bothered to go back and say anything. Before leaving I got a second drink to take away for my husband with a Christmas cookie set marked 50% off. I challenged the total as the latter had not been discounted when asked to present my card. Apologies from the barista and I paid the correct price. On my previous visit I had also has issues with a transaction not being as expected, so I am not sure if it’s just me being unlucky perhaps, or if the staff need a bit of additional training (it was not busy so I don’t think they were overwhelmed). The saving grace was that the staff were very friendly and polite and we had a good table for our lunch, relaxed atmosphere. I would return but next time I may clarify my order before taking it away to check it’s as expected.

Love the staff and love the coffee! Flat whites always as they should be Chris, Gemma, Emily and the other team members are always happy to see you and they always make Noah feel welcome.

I went to the counter, and there were 4 members of staff working that I could see. I wasn't acknowledged and was completely ignored. Some serious training required!

Costa made a mistake with order. I telephoned and was told they would give us two free drinks next visit. Next visit Asst Manager would not honour “replacement” drinks as this was not on their “group chat”. Stacey has got to be the rudest staff ever

Very surprised that this store isn't doing the 5% reduced VAT rates. May as well go into store across the road as it's cheaper..

I visit this Costa at least once a week . This may be why the staff were happy to make me wait to be served while they chatted among themselves.

Handy after shopping, bit noisy though and now there's a better one across the road

Teething Problems- still relatively new but needless wait for service because of really poor staff deployment - too many people randomly standing around while the queue lengthens. We went on a sunny frosty January morning and the sunlight was bizarrely causing real issues with seating - no blinds and wall sized windows. What will happen in the summer?

Friendly staff who remember people's regular orders. Usually clean and tidy, but can have a number of uncleared tables at busy times.

Asked for decaf and they gave me caffeinated. I'm caffeine sensitive so currently feeling very poorly. Staff were bantering amongst themselves instead of concentrating on what they were doing. I won't be visiting here again as can't trust staff to get my order right. Perhaps I'll try the new Costa over the road.

lots of stalls etc got toilet s. best is the butcher you can buy fresh meat on Sunday. loos are spotless.

The coffee was nice but expensive and it's in a Tesco store so probably not a nice as a normal Costa. Convenient is the best way I can describe it.

Very friendly staff who all work hard! Always busy when I go in which is good to see. The coffees taste very nice and the service is very good and quick! Some people need to realise there will be a little wait as it’s not just a click button job!

What you would expect of a Costa, great coffees nice cakes and friendly helpful service, well recommended.

Coffee was great as always, Wi-fi is good and if you are very lucky as I was it wasn’t to busy but normally it’s packed.

I’ve read many of the review and just to confirm this is the branch inside the superstore so no out door seating! I use the store regularly the coffee is alway a great and staff friendly, I just wish there was more seating as it gets packed.

Quick coffee stop with my children before grabbing a few bits of shopping. Needed to review purely to say how friendly & quick the staff were. The coffee & got chocolates were great, tables & seating area clean & tidy even though It was busy & staff were super chatty & nice.

Disgusting coffee, ordered a soya latte. It made me feel sick all day, I think the milk was off. Phoned up to complain and all I got was a few points on my card.

Coffee was very good, and very standardised throughout the Costa Coffee Group. However, it seems that staff in this branch need a lesson in manners. The queue was lengthy, the wait for our drinks to be made was equally as lengthy, and there was no apology from any member of staff for this unacceptable wait. I visit Costa on various occasions and I am usually very impressed, however, this store is exceptionally disappointing. As soon as we had finished the last drop of our drinks, our table was promptly cleared, however, this was done so in a very clumsy manner, seeing as we were still sitting at the table. I will be writing to the Whitbread Group to express my disappointment at the lack of manners of staff in this establishment. Appalling.

I use this Costa once a week whilst working in the area normally the staff are really friendly, I was very disappointed on my recent visit, when my order was slammed on the counter, the young man didn't even acknowledge that it was mine I had to ask if it was for me, he didn't even say thank you 😡

one of the best Costas around. The other shops are quite loud and echo, but this little one sits in a corner of the shop and is actually quite cosy given the location. The staff is nice, they recognise you after a while and already know what I want. I see many single people go there, read the newspaper and even get to know each other, share table and engage in chat. It's one of these modern places that people have adopted to make their old style British Coffee house regular, and the friendly staff has a lot to do with this!

Visited around 9am. Drinks fine and staff polite but was dissapointed that they only had pain au raisens left in the 'areakfast range' that early in the morning and the service was slow but certainly not the worst costa I've ever been to!

As you'd expect from a Costa. Queued for quite a while, even though there were plenty of staff they were very slow.

Right costa is costa, coffes lovely paninis lush blah blah blah! but slightly confused how a extra 10p got added on by the girl on the till per item only 30p for my visit, but wonder how many people dont look at the board and just get dupped over the course of a day! hmmmmmmmm

Expensive coffee served in very large cups even the regular size.

Good coffee & nice food, but expensive even taking into account their loyalty card. This franchise is in a supermarket, so whilst convenient the atmosphere is not brilliant.
