Great pub, great atmosphere, local treasure, no cooked food, very well kept beers, free house, owner managed, real fire, traditional village pub.

My friend and I went for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious . Really flavoursome food and generous portions for a reasonable price ! The service wasn’t the fastest but the server was lovely and made us feel very welcome . Coupled with this they let us in early which was greatly appreciated.

The toilets here are still absolutely filthy. There appears to be weeks of built up grime and stains on all of the toilets/seats that hasn't just appeared over the last couple of days or so. Deep clean is very much needed.

We ate two nights in the restaurant. The menu may be a little limited and the nights specials did not change but the food was very good quality. It was tasty, well cooked and hot. The eventual bill was a pleasant surprise being quite economical for what we had. A major advantage of this restaurant is the staff. All we friendly and attentive and obliging to our needs. Thoroughly recommend it.
