The Bramford Cock in Mid Suffolk

We were party of 24 for an evening meal - The meals & service by Taff Luke & Jack were excellent. All the starters came up together which is amazing for such a large party & the same for the meal - Such a variety of food to suit all tastes - We will be rebooking our family meal out at the The Bramford Cock .

Went here for valentines dinner with the Mr first time of eating here and it was lovely. I had chilli con carne but changed the rice to chips which they was happy to do and Mr had the sirloin steak he said it was lovely. We got a free bottle of Pinot with our meal. Staff was very good, rushing about but still very nice and polite. It’s a really cosy place to just relax and have a drink too. Lovely evening will defiantly return. (Good food prices too)

Thought we would pop up to our local for lunch on a Friday. We have not been for a little while, we ordered soup followed by one meal of lasagne and The other sausages and bubble and squeak. So disappointed,soup was not bad but not very hot. When the main courses came , the lasagne was a load of stodge hardly any meat and sauce and what there was was absolutely tasteless. The sausages were done to death and I have never seen bubble and squeak look like that!! Complained when we paid but was not offered any discount. Was told that they had a new chef on trial!! Well they are rubbish. The galling thing also was because we went on a Friday our meal cost double what it would have cost on the Thursday!!!! We will not be going back again, have always tried to support our local but have now given up.

Disappointed to find that The Cock remains pretty ordinary and rather dull with an atmosphere of general indifference. Such a pity that a venue with considerable potential seems unable to spot a niche in the market and buckle down to fulfilling some genuine aspiration. Perhaps more time will make a difference.

Standard pub fare. Food was good and service was ok. Good local pub. Nice beer garden and play area for kids.

Excellent meal here today,the steak and ale pie was lovely and the gammon ham,chips and egg looked good too. Despite being busy the landlady was friendly and welcoming.

Went on an evening out with friends and their family for a drink in our local. Was disappointed with the land lord and his knowledge of drink slow in serving. Very rude land lady. Took our friendliness as flirting, totally bad behaviour by staff. This was not a good way to invite people to our local no wonder it keeps changing hands if this is how things our managed

Our family of 16 plus baby had a wonderful Sunday lunch at The Bramford Cock. The food was excellent and very good value.The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We'll look forward to having our next celebration there..
