Gregg's in Mid Suffolk

nice staff, food okay, cheap and open when we needed them when staying in the travelodge. staff friendly one day, the next day a really grumpy lady who didnt want to be there. no sausages on saturday and no bacon on a sunday!... pretty rubbish when you are offering limited breakfast options already to not actually have the ingredients on offer as advertised above your heads on the boards.. poor management or poor forward planning, or maybe both.

Visited today bought 2 dark chocolate eclairs,DISAPOINTED hardly any cream, we won't buy again ,what's this economising on amount of cream saving ??. Gregg's .

I tested positive for covid this morning so I asked my friend to collect and they were nothing but rude and awkward. I even said over the phone I’d swipe it whilst I’m on the phone but the worker still refused and was just being nothing but awkward. Was even rude to my friends 13year old son.

Gregg's do not sell Decaffeinated drinks. No decaf tea or coffee. Come on Greeg's its the year 2021. I for one will not enter a Gregg's until they do. It's not because I prefer decaf, but because my body is irritated by caffeinated.

I eat Greggs' in all places that it is convenient. It (they?) are fast, fresh and fabulously well priced. Subway should listen and learn. Subway is not as good as Greggs'. My fave is the generous bean cheese sausage pasty usually hot. steak bake too. Staff are always friendly / understanding and wearing the uniform. All in, a great family pitstop for anyone with a coffee need. Thanks Greegs. x

The breakfast consisted of rolls with sausage and egg. Chealp and chirpy. Lovely staff here compared to other Greggs shops I have visited. This one had service for me as I am disabled and i did not have to ask Great customer service.

If you get here early, you can park outside and grab lunch for later. Good meal deals with baguette and a drink for reasonable cost. Always fresh and well prepared. Nice people too.

sometimes I find the staff a bit surly but they were very good in here. The wraps are gorgeous - so fresh and load of filling. Try the new Mexican Chicken wrap - lovely.

I go here most days.. around half 7 in the morning... everything is cold!! I don't know how this happens but its freezing cold every time I go... shocking place wouldn't recommend... thanks

No complaints re staff, but whose idea was it to put everything in plastic or disposable cups which generates huge amounts of waste, all of which seems to go in one bin, no evidence of anything being recycled. Most people prefer drinking from a proper cup I believe, surely that's the way to go Greggs!

Greggs have supposedly upgraded their shops/cafes....what a mistake that is. The one is Diss is just as bad. I don't want to have a sit down coffee in a paper takeaway cup. I want a proper mug..... they have definitely lost my business. Plenty of other places for a coffee, both in Stowmarket and Diss....so if you like a little bit of Englishness, don't go here....avoid. Nothing wrong with the tea just don't like the mugs, then the fact over going to that stand to put your milk in etc....just makes me angry...and don't start me off on having no plates to eat your cake on....!!! What they are trying to save by not washing up, they have lost more in the people who no longer visit. Shame because their sausage rolls are the best...just have to take them home now....

I stopped by on a Tuesday morning for a coffee and bacon roll (combined price), ordered it at the counter, waited, then took it in the seating area. Quality and price was good, the place was clean and there is a good choice of food.

Recently refurbished and cosmetically the place looks good although it’s always grubby in the seating area even first thing in the morning. The competition for coffee and pastry is fierce so you’d think they’d pay more attention to keeping the place clean.

Where I find a lot of Greggs have closed their restaurant area, this one seems to have been improved! A very comfortable and well decorated seating area provided a decent area to enjoy our lunch. which was up to Greggs usual high standards.

The place has recently been refurbished and it is looking a lot better. It is clean, tidy and easier to move around. The food is fresh and the staff and always friendly and helpful especially when it comes to my children.

Nicely refurbished cafe. Friendly staff and good food. Only complaint, why are all drinks now served in plastic/ cardboard cups even when you are eating in ? No plates provided for cakes , just a paper bag. I thought that they were under the impression that we were doing take away but everyone in the restaurant had the same.

This Greggs was a very good choice during our stay in Stowmarket , very new fixtures and fittings , friendly staff and very good fayre . Good people watching to be had from the front window and light and airey throughout. Visited again for a tea the day after. All good here.

As a spur-of-the-moment venue for coffee and cakes whilst shopping, the positive things I can say are limited to: excellent location, cheap, and friendly staff. On the negative side: tasteless, bland coffee in a tangy cardboard cup (we left most of it), cakes which weren't much better, and when we went to sit down, the 'restaurant area' was filthy - almost every table had dirty cups and debris on them, plus all over the floor...

Very busy shop and cafeteria. The staff were very pleasant but possibly in need of one other employee to share the workload. It is pleasant and with a lot of people and small children noise levels can get high. Very good tea and cakes available. Very well worth a visit for to rest the legs and bring some nice bakery home.

Sorry that this is negative BUT you have got it all wrong at the STOWMARKET Greggs refurbishment ,myself and others had got feed up waiting in one queue whether you are wanting to takeaway or sit down for a snack you have to stand in one queue some times out of the door, bring back two serving counters. If you can.

Friendly staff , food is good especially the autumn winter soups ideal for the cold weather. Lovely choice of savoury and sweet food .
