Went there for a weeknight meal after a walk in the nearby countryside only to be told there is no food being served( despite there website saying otherwise) decided to stay for a drink and wish I hadn't bothered, the beer was awful and smelt strange, the garden is very run down and messy and the landlady was moody, all in all a terrible experience and won't be returning any time soon
Pizza here is dependable and at a great price point. The meat special was delicious as was the truffle mushroom one too. The interior is nice and the service was incredibly warm and friendly. The cacio e pepe dip was a bit sickly for my taste so will pass on that next time.
This is a cheap roast dinner place but the food is really great and cannot be faulted for 4 adults with 4 soft drinks and lots of extra side dishes it was £50 you are lucky to get a maccys for that price nowadays.
Was great quality meats, pork, beef & chicken ordered by my our guests.
Just felt guilty as booked for 2pm on Good Friday believing they were open 12-3pm for lunch but only opened for us at 2pm and we were the only ones in there, was still delicious.
Gd food but expensive. They have changed the rice takeaway dishes to smaller. So don't get has much as u used to do for the price. £5 petrol charge which i think is dear and u don't get free prawn crackers like u do in any other Chinese I know off.
Not sure what’s happened, just to be a lovely place with really good food..
garlic prawns were over cooked burnt garlic and just a terrible taste, seafood linguini!! Over cooked pasta, tomato sauce was tasteless & prawns over cooked .. rump steak ! Well it was burnt on outside , over cooked, really fatty & tough .. the wine was nice ! £76 later
My partner and I visited the restaurant for the first time on New Years Eve, the restaurant is decorated amazingly and the bar staff were very friendly welcoming us. We were showed to our table and after 5 minutes or so our order was taken, within not even 10 minutes our drinks and starters came out. Our starters were amazing and shortly followed our mains, I am vegetarian and when I ordered my main I asked for the dish without chicken, the waitress said she would make sure with the kitchen if that’s ok, she never came back so we assumed it was fine, when my main came out it had chicken in, a different waiter kindly took the food back to the kitchen and a few minutes later it was replaced. The waitress that originally took my order came to see where my food was and I explained it came with chicken she said ‘Oh’ and walked away - that was the first rude encounter. The whole time during our meal there was 4 screaming young children running through the restaurant they knocked into my partner three times and were disturbing the other diners too, the children were family to the waitress and there was a table with a few adults on again family of hers so they were getting her full attention and the rest of us were left waiting, there was many other things that happened during our visit and we were absolutely appalled. The service was shocking but from that one waitress in particular she was so rude to us and the other diners, a group of 8 were sitting next to us and when they tried to ask her a question she simply said ‘HANG ON’ and walked away they all looked shocked. We were never offered more drinks and wasn’t even offered a dessert menu. When we eventually got someone’s attention to ask for the bill we then waited over 20 minutes to receive it. As we were leaving the someone on a different table asked for the dish I had but without mushrooms, the waitress started laughing and said ‘I’m only laughing as someone just ordered it with no chicken’ and started joking about my order very loudly next to us.
Never will order from them again it disgusting a waste of £36.. the beef friend rices tasted funcky and the beef was chewy. The chips had been cooked again and the pancake roll I orderd came as mini spring rolls and beef curry was disgusting and chicken ball was dry n chewy
Actually disappointed that you get barred for the most pettiest of reasons that doesn’t warrant 6 months.
Now one of our friends from the whole group can not join and we have events and Xmas parties coming up.
I was on a cycle ride without a bike lock, so needed somewhere with outdoor tables where I could keep an eye on my bike and order a light lunch. I ordered a pint of Thornbridge Jaipur IPA and a small chicken shawarma wrap. Both arrived speedily. Value, quality and service all excellent.
This was my first time at this location.
There was ample parking although there was clearly some activity going on in the neighbouring field.
The bar staff were very friendly and helpful as were the waiting staff.
The food was delicious.
I took advantage of the lunch offer having a BBQ Wrap, side and non alcoholic drink for £8.99.
It was a delicious meal (I forgot to take a photo :( )
I would go again as I enjoyed my meal and the location.
