Prezzo in East Hertfordshire

Hadn't booked so was pleased to get a table and even happier that it had air con (was a hot day). Meal was good and service had been timely. Waitress wasn't the friendliest and had a stern, hard looking face but we didn't think anything of it until we got her attention to ask for the bill. She turned, huffed at us and then went to dart off again before my Husband had been able to finish explaining that we had a discount code to use. My Husband therefore called out "excuse me" to her as we didn't want her to waste her time doing the bill only to then have to re-do it but she came over and blatantly rolled her eyes at us! We couldn't believe how rude she'd been and for what reason?? Needless to say, no tip left and would avoid going back to this branch. I don't know the waitresses name but she had a foreign accent and was wearing bright pink. Shame her personality isn't as bright as her clothing.

Very disappointing standard of food. Due to closure of our favourite Prezzo a few years ago, it is a while since we have been.This restaurant is not recognisable as the same kind of eating place. I ordered a salmon starter thinking it would be fresh salmon, I can recognise the texture of freshly cooked fresh salmon & this was not.

Food ok could be better for the money you pay good job we had 25% off food When got our bill they had put 2 drinks we didn’t have so always check your bill glad I did 🤨

We came here for a family birthday and when we arrived the restaurant was practically empty (about 5 tables full). The woman who greeted us asked if we had a reservation (which we did) and said they were fully booked today. Service was incredibly slow and food came out lukewarm. I asked for mozzarella in my pasta and was given burrata and the arrabiata sauce was so watery. Has potential to be good but won’t be returning.

Very disappointed with my meal which was pasta with crab and chilli. The It was dry as can be no flavour My sister had the crab and lobster ravioli small portion and not a lot of flavour. Seemingly the lasagne was ok and we tasted king prawns with spaghetti had plenty of flavour. Also had 2 vouchers for birthday prosecco and they would only allow one per table we would have not ordered the second bottle knowing it wasn’t free. It’s not clear from their offer this is the case

Aside from the food being disgusting it was under cooked. A few of us ordered chicken that was supposed to come with a mushroom sauce, I didn't have a single mushroom in mine. There was one hasselback potato and some chicken that was obviously cooked from frozen. It was bland and pink in the middle. The presentation, if you can call it that, was embarrassing and the bill was outrageously expensive. I don't know what kind of "chefs" they are employing but they clearly don't care what they are serving their customers. I will never return

Quite possibly the worst / slowest service imaginable… Hospitality training urgently needed… And that’s not the first time we’ve experienced this… But definitely the last.

Absolutely pathetic, we had to break up a chat between the chef and the manager to get seated (after much coughing etc.). When finally seated and hastily given menus we were ignored for another 10 minutes while the waitress chatted to the manager. We upped and left the venerable establishment whilst still conscious and headed off elsewhere. I’d love to review the food but alas, didn’t get any. For those of you wanting some basic Italian fare in Ware - look elsewhere!!!

This spot was great, I am very surprised to see such rude reviews! Especially about the particular employees, I had a wonderful experience and it seemed everyone else was too! I ordered in and ordered a couple of plates to go and they were EXCELLENT, the service was amazing! They packed up everything exactly how I asked, were very cordial, and Karina was SO helpful, THANK YOU SO MUCH KARINA!!! They allowed me to customize a few plates and everything was delicious there and later! Great work team :) I am a flight attendant from the United States and eat at restaurant three meals a day for over half my life..the angry reviews had a personal problem with a hostess I found to be charming, sweet, and helpful!

The only time I have ever walked out of a restaurant without eating. My wife and I and our two sons aged 11 and 14 came here on a Sunday evening at 6.30. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated whilst they cleared a table for the family front of us in the queue, not really a problem. We were then shown to our table, my chair was wet, like a drink had been spilt so as no staff free I grabbed some paper towel from one of the tables and wiped my own seat, I then sat down to notice what looked like chocolate on the table, so another handful of paper towel to wipe that also. We then waited for about 15 minutes and waitress came to take our order, but only for drinks, she said she'll do drinks now and come back later for a food order. Another 15 minutes pass and another lady brings us our drinks, my wife then politely says "can you take our food order now please, as we have been here half hour and its not been taken". The lady says "your server will come and do it". Another waited and our server walks past out table slams her hand on out table and snaps "you HAVE NOT been waiting an hour!" I tried replying "we didn't say we had been waiting an hour we politely said half hour" but to no avail as she'd already storm off after smacking out table and snapping at us. It was at this point we stood up, left out drinks and walked out. Horrendous all round. I do not go to a restaurant to be spoken to and treated like that. All the staff seemed absolutely miserable, we will NEVER be back. Horrendous.

Very unpleasant waitress (probably Polish) with pink trousers and pink long fingernails and miserable face. Unpleasant way of speaking and very uninterested in her job. My little one and I came in to have an early dinner at around 3:30pm today (18 May 2023), and she just rolled her eyes. She showed no interest to serve us. When I came to the bar to pay, I had to wait while she slowly and hesitantly strolled through the restaurant to assist me with the bill. Her tone was rude and sounded quite rough. VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Children menu very poor, very little option, everything vegan. My little one is Not vegan. Never going back. Never recommending the place to no one. I left no tips for her.

We decided to go to this restaurant as we’d been here before & it was good, after being seated the waitress came back and asked us what drinks we’d like- I asked about the beers as didn’t want one from a can-every beer I mentioned she thought I was asking for it, so I had to correct her and say no is it from a can, after drinks were ordered I asked for some water too, the drinks came & the glass for the beer looked grubby and sweaty, the two glasses of water had bits in them and were dirty too! So I drank my beer from the bottle-thank god. Starters were ordered along with the mains, hubby couldn’t get what he wanted so ordered the soup starter and I ordered bruschetta-they were ok, not amazing. Mains-hubby ordered an oven baked pasta which was lush, I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was swimming in its own water where it hasn’t been drained much, so I drained off the excess in a glass that I didn’t use, the waitress came over & asked if everything was ok, I said yeah it’s just watery, so she left me to it. Lastly we ordered a tiramisu which was lovely and a cappuccino which was an Americano with froth, it was nice but not a capp. I didn’t grumble as I had a gift card so didn’t see the point, but I will NEVER return, even if I go to that area I will go anywhere else. People save your money, the place is dirty & unkempt, especially the floor ewwwww. Lastly even the dish our bill was on was dirty and had crumbs on it.

Poor food and slow service. My friend had the chicken Caesar salad and the lettuce was old and unappealing with little chicken however to be fair the waitress did remove it from the bill. My crab ravioli wasn’t anything like the description on the menu, the lobster bisque was more like a lemon cream and the pasta was dry on top. Decided we wouldn’t come back for a while as very disappointing.

Went for a family meal today. Was greeted by a rather rude abrupt member of staff. Service was slow. One lovely waitress and one rude waitress who seemed annoyed for some reason, very unprofessional the way she was throwing plates in the sink in kitchen and bottles in Bar area. You could see other customers felt the same. Shame as the food was good but given the service won’t be returning

The food was fabulous & couldn’t be faulted and brought out fast. The service however was poor - the restaurant was perhaps 1/3 full and took ages to order but then worse 45 mins to receive a bill (after asking twice) once we’d finished eating (our plates were clear so it was clear we were done). Don’t go if you’ve somewhere to be after!

We tried to get a a table at lunch time today. There were 5 of us. My self, husband and the 3 grandchildren. We were told we can't have a table because we should have booked. There were loads of table empty and made up. No reservation signs on the tables. None of the adverts outside including the special offer stated that one should book a table prior to arrival. We were told to book then and come back in an hour which did not make sense .

We had a great evening. Service is excellent and food tasty. Our server Jelena was amazing. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Best PREZZO experience by far

Many thanks for a great evening at Prezzo in Ware. The front of house were so helpful in accommodating our table of 8, and the waitresses - I think their names were Elita and Mila - were friendly, smiley, and efficient. Lovely people. And the food was super tasty too!

Far too understaffed. Our waitress Natalie was fab and apologised for waiting time (45 minutes for starter, another 45 in for main) several times and clearly tried her best to keep people happy and took price of drinks off menu.
