Awesome pub with great beer and even better food

We only stayed one night, but the room was fabulous. It was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was amazing. Mike, you and your team were amazing. Thank you.

Nice airy Greene King pub overlooking quiet high street near cathedral. £20.40 for pint, lasagne, lime cordial with tap water at lunchtime a bit pricey Food arrived quickly but the portion was smallish and the bowel was scalding hot.

Monday lunch using the £13.95 set menu. Delicious Lasagna followed by a very nice Tiramisu. Only criticism was the Lasagna was incredibly hot. But a very enjoyable experience.

Shocking place, just waited 15 mins for one meal and nobody in front of us at drive thru!. Young girl was so slow and had a face like a slapped arse. Not polite either....AVOID

All the food is wonderful all fresh and cooked, very polite staffs and very welcoming 🙂

Another great steak meal, cooked by the Steve, I’m not a big chip fan but Steve’s chips are so tasty. Nice cosy atmosphere with the log fire on. The waitresses are always friendly and the service is very good.

Lovely friendly pub, dogs welcome, fast service and food brought out quickly. Food was inexpensive and tasty.

Sunday roast is a must here, all very fresh and hot, staff were lovely. The crumble was delicious just saying! There were 8 of us and everything came out at same time again hot and fresh, nothing was to much trouble. A lovely experience thanks to all the staff!

Pretty good food and atmosphere. Easy to get into for Sunday lunch.

Very slow service, 15 minutes wait to be served. Only one member of staff serving. The three customers before me all ordered coffees, I felt sorry for those wanting behind me when I ordered four coffees. However I will visit again, coffee was very good.

Stopped in for some lunch on the way to my mums, amazing service from Tash, food was great!

Food is way over priced, and the mess is unbelievable I feel sorry for the cleaners.

Two starters of padron peppers and a salad with artichokes and guacamole, generous mains of pulled beef rigatoni and a burger (with a nice option to have pickled salad instead of a bun. All really good and fairly priced. Staff were friendly and helpful, and dealt professionally with a customer who could have been "awkward". Riders tethered their horses in the garden whilst getting drinks and snacks.
