The ambience was amazing as the staff were very attentive. The waiter serving our table made sure that we did not miss anything, as she explained all about the menu and choices available. It my nephew's birthday celebrations dinner. The staff made it remarkable when they brought out the cake after we had our dinner. They came out one carrying the cake other singing the happy birthday song, and with drum beats and shakers. It really made it a momentous occasion 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Really impressive.
Thought this was an amazing find and not at all expensive for what you got. Family from 9 - 70 yrs visited and all enjoyed what they had . It is a small shop - hence its name - The Little Waffle shop with limited seating but a couple of tables outside as well.
Not sure how they have ever got a bad rating - there’s nothing not to like - provided you like waffles !
Coffee great as well and the young girls were very busy but friendly and helpful.
Extremely disappointing. Food arrived barely five minutes after ordering, which makes it obvious it was only just microwaved. The texture confirmed it—rubbery, lacking freshness. Won’t be returning.
Crispy calamari was rubbery and cold, so sent it back. Goats cheese tart - microwaved - you CANT microwave puff pastry. Served with watercress that had seen much better days. Clearly packed food out of the freezer and into microwave or deep fryer. BILLIONAIRES fries sounded amazing at £5.95 a portion. Very disappointed that they were frozen French fries with the tiniest bit of pancetta you could barely see it and a bit of squirty truffle mayonnaise- no Parmesan in sight. Absolutely nothing ‘billionaire’ about them. Terrible waste of our money and I won’t be spending out in these awful pubs that serve this type of food again. Friendly staff.
I haves never liked the design of this shopping centre. Loads of coffee shops. Shops have come and gone. most times I just walk through the centre then actually shop in it.
What happened to this place?
It used to be a nice pub. It now looks like it was decorated by a Changing Rooms accident and staffed by surly folk
It’s freezing cold.
I ask if the door can be closed as everyone inside is wearing a coat because it’s so cold.
“No. We’re letting the dust out”
Good. Excellent customer service.
I've been going here many times and staff have always gone above and beyond, but today I met the manager I believe her name was Samiha or Samira and she was just so lovely my 3 year old told me "she's my best friend!"

The order was for my elderly aunt who struggles with using a phone and the delivery guy remembered from last delivery and called me for the order number which is excellent
I chose the Black Horse for my wife’s 50th surprise birthday party as they gave live music and we wanted our band to play. From start to finish they were superb, Sophia and Lori were extremely attentive, thoughtful and helpful through the planning and the event. The food and service they provided was outstanding as was the atmosphere in the pub on the day. Needless to say it was a fantastic event. Thank you Black Horse!
Unacceptably rude, by which I consider from the other reviews - over a period of years - is the owner.
Got upset because we used a table for too long just for coffee.
If an establishment has a maximum stay or minimum spend maybe advertise, not sure a high street cafe can operate at that level.
Asked to leave to free up the table, which we happily did.
No reason to return but a lifetime memorable unpleasant memory from an angry, rude business owner.
Do you remember when....
Chains only and Waitrose free to avoid this potential unpleasantness from small businesses in future.
