Jenny's Restaurants - Hemel Hempstead in Dacorum

The order was for my elderly aunt who struggles with using a phone and the delivery guy remembered from last delivery and called me for the order number which is excellent

Used to love coming to Jenny’s as the food is always cooked to perfection with great customer service - sadly won’t be returning often moving forward as the prices have increased to almost £20 per person for a mixed grill & oat coffee from £13 to £20 - therefore unfortunately we will be going to other places which are more economically priced - I understand there has been a refurbishment, although the customer shouldn’t have to take the brunt of that within the cost of their meal.

Even with the fabulous make over Jenny's is still the warm friendly place it always was with good food at good prices 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent place. Very cheap, very efficient, open kitchen and possibly the cleanest place I’ve been to in a long time. It’s not a Michelin star, it’s not some fancy, hip place… but everything was cooked EXACTLY right, including perfect poached eggs, nothing was pale or burnt. Highly recommended (and I’m VERY fussy and ate dinner at a upmarket restaurant the night before).

I order from here and go to this restaurant all the time, I ordered food today and it was absolutely horrendous not sure what has happpmed but the food js awful now

Jenny’s has always been a staple in my life. Since childhood and even through to ny adulthood. I learnt how to properly use a knife and fork here when I was little - and my little brother was once dared to eat a burger the size of his small head here! Even now, I am reminded of these memories and I will always treasure Jennys’s… even if I no longer qualify for a lolipop when I pay :( The atmosphere is safe, it’s comforting and it’s just a lovely treat. (i’m glad they take card now too although half the fun was running to the bank next door to get money out for a JENNY’S!!!!). Long live Jenny’s half pounder burger 🩷

Really overpriced Food was very disappointing Won't be returning

Had the sirloin cooked medium, it was a bit over so I'd recommend having it medium rare if you're going to have the same. Slow to deliver but they were incredibly busy, so it was easy to forgive. Welcoming staff.

Squashed food, poor value for money (scampi). Breakfast was better elsewhere. Would not recommend.

I have ordered a Mediterranean brunch which was delicious and, in my opinion, big. I was served promptly, 5 minutes. It was a typical Turkish plate with halloumi, omlet, olives, salad and , of course, Turkish sugiuk (sausage).

2 cans of coke are very expensive

the new owners have done a really good job with the refurb. I visited on Saturday and it was packed. That's how you know a restaurant is good. The food and service speak for itself... impeccable. All the staff are so nice and accommodating. Good to see Jo still there too.

Waitress was nice but did forget to take our order. When we started to order the food, the chef was noticeably moaning at the waitresses for allowing us to change our order which we only changed one item as per on the menu!! When I found what looked like a string from a cleaning sponge in my egg and returned my meal requesting no egg! It was simply put onto a new plate with the same food!! Which is disgusting!! This led to none of us finishing our meal from the disgust of returning my meal! Although the manager agreed to remove my meal off the bill. They then proceeded to complain about us as we walked out!!! This is disgusting and VERY rude!! We used to go to Jenny’s all the time but with the new management won’t be returning and have informed others!! I urge you not to take your little ones here

Really nice cafe. Greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service. We had the pancakes and Mediterranean breakfast, which was superb. The place was full but still all the staff were happy and smiling. 100% reccomend.

Walked in absolutely amazed with the new decor,friendly waitresses,manager was really nice. Handled a VERY rude customer maturely.overall loved our experience 5 star!!!!!

Wow, first time and just have to say, what lovely people! And delicious food! Such a welcoming atmosphere. I came because of a delayed flight and decided for some breakfast. The young blonde lady was fantastic and a personal relief interacting with her. They also give you so much food for an incredible price. All authentic and delicious British food. Would definitely come again! 🙌

My daughter and I popped in to Jenny's today for breakfast, we noticed how lovely the decor was as it has had a makeover, it looked really nice! The food we ordered for breakfast was really scrummy, cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced, staff were very friendly and helpful, overall it was a lovely visit. Would recommend to family and friends.

Coffee was burnt, Earl Grey was served in a long glass with a small spoon which I've never seen before. Apple pie was very sour

Absolutely disgusting paid £22 for the meal to come looking like it would just about feed my dog will never be ordering from this place again .

Wasn't as busy as previous visits, had noticed they had had a make over since last visited! Food and coffee's were ok but seemed slightly overpriced for a bagequet (only) no side dressing of any sort eg a few crisps or salad, and an iced coffee which came to about £10 (for the both) Plenty of staff so no waiting. Understand of course there are lots of price increases in recent months.

the restraunt called me to explain that just eat took ages to assign a driver and said my food was cold, not the restraunts fault

We usually go into Jennys once a month with my sister and sometimes her husband. The first time we met Chloe was when she had given us our receipt and me and my sister were fighting over who should pay ( l won) we were laughing and joking and my husband was chatting with Chloe. We always get good service and the food is always delicious. Chloe is such a delightful, friendly and funny girl. You can have a good laugh with her. Jennys are very lucky to have such a wonderful waitress. Well done Chloe, look forward to seeing you soon. xx

Great service and food. The waitresses were brilliant. Special mention to the waitress with reddish hair and glasses who was so attentive and patient serving a man with learning difficulties.

What I would call a "builders cafe". Good food, good service. But CASH ONLY !

Waitress was nice , they have a large menu , prices are not bad . They offer everything for a cooked breakfast, jacket potato's, sandwiches and baguettes to main meals. It's nothing special but no complaints. Was very quiet in there considering it was a Saturday

Great place to make your little star feel amazing

Place is always busy and that's because it's definitely one of the better cafes. Staff always so pleasant and cheerful as well as the chefs always being happy help accommodate requests. Food is good as well.

I was told about this from my buddy James of Tiktok who has his own merchandise in his bio, anyways I tried here as James informed me they don't take card payments, I was having none of that! I went along and asked for a bacon sandwich with a side of Seled and when it came to payment they told me they did not take card! Very poor and James was right all along.

A classic from a bygone era. As cafes and franchises shut down across the country, this Jenny's holds strong serving an array of breakfasts, sandwiches and burgers for prices that won't break your wallet. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was perfectly cooked and the environment is comfortably retro. It feels like going back in time almost. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. This is a great place to go on sunday mornings (or any morning for that matter) and I'd highly recommend this place

Great little cafe for fried breakfast.

First time been at this town and this cafe was recommended by a local and is a good place I did enjoy as are very polite well mannered staff very clean. Facilities are clean and tidy need a few minor things to be change. Food was good nice and tasty. And a good portion service was good Prices was very fair Do I recommend it well I don’t think I need to recommend this place for the locals as they do know about it but as out side yes I do recommend if you are by it yes pop in for a good meal and a cup of tea or coffee Do I will return well if I am near by again and I want a breakfast I will pop in again

Very nice food and friendly staff. Coffee is nicer than the latte in Costa too. Always eat here when we're in Hemel and we always get a warm welcome. This is why we go back.

Been into Jenny’s cafe a few times and have always been so overwhelmed by the service! Excellent food always. Today I came in just for a milkshake and again I was amazed. I paid just £3.60 for this kinder bueno milkshake with cream! Wow 🤩

Great staff, food and good value for money. Only downside is they accept cash only and do not accept card payments which in this day and age should be a priority.

Nice food and fast friendly service

Pretty staff, conscientious workers attentive to the needs of handicapped brethren, children and good value for money. I was impressed at even the dish washer collected used plates with minimal fuss & tactful politeness.It is a real shame that this place is not more busy, but Covid19 has a lot to answer for!
