the quality of the food is poor, the vegetables near the roast beef were burnt and unimaginative. Roast potatoes overcooked and mashed potatoes! The red cabbage tasteless and the carrots and parsnips burnt or overcooked. The roast beef was not a real roast but slices of beef. The dessert, reheated in the microwave was a real disappointment. I would be lying if I didn't say that the environment is well-kept and clean, the waiters friendly. I would not return

Despite the outside looking a little dirty and only one of the two lifts to reception (1st floor) was working and a bit grubby (not a good first impression) but once your in reception and beyond, it gets much better. Very clean corridors, and our room was very clean and well presented (well done to housekeeping). I can't comment on the bar area because we didn't use it but could see it looked clean and tidy. The only staff we came into contact with was reception. Very welcoming and friendly.
Conveniently placed in the town centre.
I would stop here if I'm in the area again and would recommend to others.
I was taken here by my partner for my birthday dinner. We've actually been meaning to go for a couple of years but only now have got round to it.
The wait was worth it. It was a Thursday evening and relatively quiet, but a nice atmosphere - the dining room is nicely decorated, catering for groups of different sizes, nicely lit and with period posters of Sicily around the walls. The eponymous chef says she wants to bring the food of Sicily to her restaurant and was inspired by the meals her grandmother cooked. As such the menu is not innovative or adventurous, but brings an authentic taste of Sicilian dishes.
My partner started with calamari, which was nicely fried and flavoursome; I had fried haloumi, also very pleasant. We both had beef ragu to follow, which was tasty, well cooked and very filling! The big question was, did it taste like something our Italian mother or grandmother (if we had one) would serve up at home - well, yes, it did, so Rosanna is meeting her goal!
A nice surprise was that, as it was by birthday, I was offered tiramisu on the house - and lovely it was too, delicate and very light.
The wine list was the length one might expect at a small restaurant but was good quality, which is far more important than quantity. The waiter (Ayann?) was friendly, attentive and efficient. My only (very slight) suggestion for an improvement would be linen, rather than paper, napkins.
My partner and I have enjoyed two lovely holidays in Sicily in recent years, and this was a very pleasant way to remind ourselves of this wonderful island. We will definitely not be waiting two years to go back to Rosanna's!
We ordered the Vegetarian pizza. Total disappointment. Flavorless, pepper, eggplant, cababacin groups. I could make a tastier pizza at home. I do not recommend this site. It's wasting money. The place is very good because it has outdoor tables. But from my experience the pizza was very disappointing. I come from a country where if you go out to a restaurant it is to eat elaborate and delicious food.

Good music, friendly staff but the minute you walk in the door itâs very gloomy and just a feeling of being unwelcome by the regulars probably not helped by the dull lighting and interior. Itâs alright for an entertainment night in the side bar but not somewhere you would immediately think of for a drink
Had Sunday lunch here and if you like a home cooked experience with massive servings, you will love this place the roasts were very good, very much in a "home cooked by nanna" style. Heaps of veg, decent yorkie, wonderful roast potatoes and lots of good gravy. Serving is very large! This is not a fancy place, if you are after white linen tablecloths and fancy silverware it is not for you. But good value, large serve home style Sunday roast, you cannot go wrong.
