White Horse in Dacorum

We've been to The White Horse a few times for an evening meal & everything has been fine. We went on Friday 8th for a late lunch & unfortunately the meals were not upto the standard we were used to, my wife had the hunter's chicken that was absolutely swimming in bbq sauce the chicken was burnt, the onion rings were cold & burnt & she had about 6 chips on side of plate. I myself had the gammon & that was incredibly salty. The time before I had the gammon it was perfect. Maybe it was a different chef or something but the food this time definitely wasn't up to par.

Great pub that we visit daily at work for lunch. The food is really good and priced very well for it. The staff extremely friendly and welcoming.

Yummy Sunday roast dinner. Great portion size. Lovely choice of desserts, I can recommend the cheesecake. we will be back soon x

Friendly local restaurant. We loved to spend time and enjoy the food here. We come here still even we moved out from emmer green as we can’t find a restaurant with this quality and price. The pull pork taco is Amazing and the hunter chicken. We recommend to our friends every time when we bring them here.

Took my puppy for a walk in the local woods followed by an enjoyable pint and chicken burger which was only a tenner!! A very welcoming local pub and will definitely be coming back!

Always a great atmosphere with tasty food from the kitchen and friendly local people including excellent service from Graeme and his staff. Lovely local pub that we always enjoy visiting, all year round.

The food is not too pricey, the servers give dog water bowls and dog biscuits, all for free and most places now don’t accept dogs so this place is very good for our dog and many others would agree, great place good with cool lights with an example with a monkey one, great food with a variety of food to buy with my favourite the 28 day ages steak…

First time visiting. There was a bit of a mix-up with our reservation, but it got sorted out. The food was good, and we met some interesting people.

The wait time was nearly 60 mins and when we got our food the steak was over cooked when I asked for rare. Our burger had no cheese or onion rings and was cold with a stale bun. Mocktail was unmixed. Overall not impressed

Love going here with my husband and 7 year old. Staff are Always friendly as are the locals that are there. Great value for money! Can’t believe the food and drink deals they have. Really nice to get that in this area but still has a nice pub feel. Nothing fancy but a really vast menu- I get really bored of the same old pub food even at the more expensive places. Can be noisy on sports events but really nice for a daytime drink. Not been in the evening/night but I assume it would still be good as everyone is quite friendly. I put up a photo of the chicken tacos 2 for only £5.99! And they serve a good Peroni. 😄

Great place for food, drinks and a get together. Place is clean, tidy, food is lovely, staff are bubbly. Parking available just sign your reg in near the bar.

Cosy, comfy and cool! One of the best pubs in Reading with a wonderfully warm atmosphere and superb service.

Went for a lunch time drink and got stung for a parking fine just for parking in the pub car park. The landlady and brewer kindly organised a refund.

Another lovely lunch at the White Horse. I go with my friend, our dogs are welcomed too. Such good value for money with two main meals £14.49. Large portions, deserts are delicious too. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

It is not noisy and background music is subdued I know that I will always have a good meal there, there is a good menu and the chef is very good The manager and his wife are friendly and welcoming and the service is good

Brilliant location for our pub lunch. Everyone enjoyed food, recommend the gammon egg & chips. Even the dogs enjoyed the free treats. Service with a smile, excellent staff. Will be back again soon.

Had a lovely unexpected meal here this evening, during a trip to Reading. Lovely food and drink. Staff were incredibly friendly and checked to make sure all was okay. This may become my regular pit stop, and I can even charge my car! 😊

Popped in to watch the England vs Argentina rugby matched.... plenty of TV screens around the pub to choose from. Really warm welcome from the bar staff. Dogs are allowed and they even sell dog ice cream, which was perfect for today, the hottest day of the year. Ordered some snacks - the nacho platter was massive and full loaded with cheese and chilli's, and the halloumi fries with chilli dipping sauce hit the spot. (Last orders were 8.30pm on a Saturday night).

I’ve been here quite a few times now and I always enjoy the vibe. Good place for families, good value, plenty of seating on the patio, nice location next to the playing field. A nice voice for a weekend meal. The staff are great and the manager Graeme goes above and beyond to help you out.

Don't order with the app, it doesn't go to kitchen and you wait for nothing! Even you ask 3 times.

First visit here, a nice decorated pub/restaurant, very busy, so had to eat in the bar area. We were fine with this as were too hungry to wait for a table, would however have liked to have sat in the restaurant area. The manager and lady at the bar were friendly. We had steak for dinner, mine was cooked perfectly, but my boyfriends was quite fatty and chewy unfortunately. No napkins or salt at the table, and nobody asked us how our meal was. These little things just add that special touch. All in all was a nice place, and would return to give it another go as the manager was very friendly and the atmosphere was good.

Car Park is controlled by outside company. l forgot to register got a ridiculous fine. Will not use this pub again after 13 years of popping in regularly and watching football. Who wants to go to a pub and have to give personal details to these people.

Lovely local greene king, friendly staff and a nice outside area

Had a few good evenings here with friends, but last night (Friday 3 February) was not good . the food was dreadful and it was all easy deep fried dishes . Scampi , fish, southern fried chicken burgers.. everything that had been in the fryer was well over cooked and tasted bitter and burnt.having returned my scampi I waited for about 15 minutes for a fresh dish . Still border line in overcooked. It came back with my original chips n peas which were stone cold . Not sure who was in charge of the fryer last night but think they need a kitchen refresher course . Doubt I’ll eat there again .

Friendly staff, surprisingly fresh and interesting food and comfortable surroundings. They have a fairly new chef, I hadn’t been for awhile - food is much better.
