Consistently amazing food.- difficult to find well cooked sicilian food. Beautiful decor and background music. Young waiter so polite and kind but his work attire didn't match the resturants beautiful appearence. One member of staff was sat at the corner of the bar swearing in italian which was very offputting. Little overpriced - we eat out regularly and would like to eat at rosannas more frequently. They also ran out of bottled water. We reccomend and definitely return for the food.

We have eaten at Rosanna’s many times. The food is always fantastic and the staff always friendly and welcoming. Wonderful fresh Italian cuisine.

Zaza having a higher rating is a crime against humanity. Great flavours with big portions and friendly service.

I really liked this place. Although the food was very good, it was the people serving that were the real highlight. Prompt, efficient, courteous but above all engaging, happy and great fun. You get the feeling they love working here. Highly recommended.

Took our family of 3 generations for our son's 30th birthday, he picked the restaurant and we really enjoyed our meal. Something for everyone including a 3 year old who tucked into his chicken fillet with fries. The Arancini's were great for starters, we shared them as quite large. The classic bruschetta's were really tasty and the mains of Risotto alla Milanese was melt in the mouth delicious, one of our family is a trained chef and ordered the aubergine Norma Rigatoni which they rated highly. They have some tasty non-alcoholic drinks as well as the norm, I enjoyed the Sicilian lemonade. The atmosphere in Rosanna's is very pleasant, highchairs supplied for bambino's and the staff efficient and welcoming. Thank you Roseanna's we will be back. Do remember to book for a saturday night they get busy!

I have been meaning to visit this place for some time, with a few Scicilian trips under my belt, I was curious about how it fared as as a Scicilian dining experiance . I have to say I was very dissapointed. We attended ad hoc on as Sunday afternoon, there were only two other tables occupied, one of which were finishing up, but having ordered our relatively simple order still took almost 45 mins to arrive. When it did inwas underwhelmed. The Arancini, promises as a beef and emental filling, was overcooked , I struggled to get through the breadcrumb with a sharp knife, the inside had two small bits of beef, so small at first I thought it was burnt cheese, the rest was just a runny mess of melted cheese. By far the worst I have tasted and wouldn't even insult Scicily by comparing it to any I have tasted there....we ordered two childrens meals, the fish was good but the fries had so much salt cracked over them that they were inedible . The other pasta dishes were worthy of any other mediocre italian. If you want to claim to specialise as a Scicilian then do it well. This was a poor italian at beat, the likes of which are two a penny in any high street. It did not warrant the price tag, even with the price of the sea salt ruined fries and service charge removed. The Italian next door was busy, which probably speaks volumes. Maybe we got them on a bad day, but that's not really an excuse in the restuarant trade when people want a good dining experiance and good food to match. Won't be going back and definitely won't be recommending to anyone I like.

Me and a colleague had some of their Arancini and they were like nothing I tasted before! We tried the Norma and the Pistachio and we can't wait to try some more!

Meal for 2, lunch service, no booking. Average price restaurant for the area, and quality of food more than worth it. Technically they made a mistake on our order, but professionally admitted their mistake and they were going to immediately rectify it but we chose the stick to the food they delivered by mistake, and it did not disappoint. I've been in restaurants before where an argument ensues, but none of that here, and it didn't spoil our day out. They still get 4 stars from me.

Food was ok, but certainly not up to previous standards which had made it something special. We have fond memories of the food and service here so it’s sad to see it’s declined. It was very quiet for a Friday.

We had a wonderful birthday party at Rosanna's last weekend. We had the top floor to ourselves including a bar set up for us. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them. The food was absolutely delicious and there was so much! They created a perfect ambience for a special celebration.

Very friendly and the food tasted good. However my husband and I were very disappointed with the sea bass dish which we both had. It said filets on the menu and what we were actually served was one very small filet cut into 2 pieces. Bit cheeky to do this and charge £20 each. Not impressed by that. My daughter enjoyed the pasta though.

Really disappointing given the enthusiasm of the website description of the food. We were given a lunch menu. Everything was either fried or drenched in double cream. My crispy squid was verging on tough and soaked in sweet and sour sauce so it was more Chinese than Sicilian. My lukewarm pistachio rigatoni was very stodgy with masses of double cream masking all flavour of the pesto which naively I had expected to be in olive oil. I could only manage about half the portion. The only good thing was I asked for a side bowl of zucchini fritte (without sweet and sour sauce) and these were stunningly thin and crispy. Lovely! Sadly this place ticked no other boxes. No Mediterranean tomato sauces in sight. I won’t be returning.

What a shame!! Rosannas used to be the best place for brunch in Berkhamsted but having gone this morning the menu is half what it shows on the website and the food has gone downhill, an example is they used to do 5 lovely ‘posh’ hash browns as they call it and for £4.50 you’d expect so however they now serve 3 freezer hash browns and call them the same. We also had a bacon sarnie with bacon hard as a rock fused together with no sauce and completely dry bread.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst meals I’ve endured in quite some time. If ever. I rarely write reviews but after my mother and I visited we were both disappointed. I ordered a Roseanna’s Salad as a starter, Rib Eye as a main. My mother the Halloumi Cheese to start and also a Rib Eye. Both steaks were to be medium. The starters arrived or, should I say starter as there was a misunderstanding, the waiter thought I wanted both my plates served at the same time as a main course. A misunderstanding I was willing to overlook as normally that particular salad is served as a main! My mother enjoyed her Halloumi. On to the main course. I would love to be able to say anything good about the steaks. They lacked flavour, they clearly had not been seasoned prior to cooking, they arrived rare and even adding our own salt and pepper to season did nothing to improve the taste or texture. I can honestly say I don’t know how this restaurant has received any more than the stars I’m giving it. If a chef is unable to cook a steak I wonder what else they are incapable of cooking. The salad was….. Okay. I am though, happy to report that my dog enjoyed the steak when I arrived home. She had plenty to get through and I’m always glad to see her happy wagging tail. This alone deserved the 1 star that I am leaving.

Highly recommend going here, the food is very high quality and you can tell everything is prepared with love. The waiters are all brilliant and attentive and the menu has a lot of options. Would highly recommend if you're in Berkhamsted.

Went for a midweek meal for two. Attentive and friendly service, classy, relaxing atmosphere, and most importantly: delicious food (both had pasta). Will definitely be back.

On arrival, we noticed that the restaurant was rather empty for a Saturday evening which made sense after we had finished our meal. We were given a nice table. However, soon after we were told there was no lemonade, no pizzas and no arancini. The explanation given was that it hadn’t been delivered. The food was average at best and quite greasy. They also didn’t have any green beans to go with what was on the menu. We were given a small Limoncello each, but unfortunately that had been diluted down and tasted more like Lemsip. Staff were friendly enough but can’t say it was good value for money. Definitely will not be returning in the near future.

I have visited Rosanna's before for dinner a few times and never knew they did brunch, so when our previous waitress mentioned it I knew it had to give it a go! Took a couple of my friends to check it out and it was wonderful, I had the full muffin (per recommendation from our waitress) and both my friends had smashed avocado on toast. Service was really fast, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Plus, the coffee was to die for! Would highly recommend.

Coming from an authentic Sicilian, the food is just amazing and Rosanna came to the table after dinner which was wonderful to meet her, learn about her journey in setting up the restaurant (which initially started as a cafe). The food is very authentic Sicilian, delicious and great portions. Highly recommend and easily the best Italian restaurant in berkhamstead.

Not quite what it used to be. Came to Rosannas for a date night after not coming for so long. Love the vibes in here. Waitress was lovely and very informative. Had the deep fried burrata and calamari with courgette fries. Both were okay. We both had the pistachio pesto pasta (which we had to have with tagliatelle as they had no rigatoni which was okay) but it just seemed so bland, I had seen pictures and it looked saucy but ours wasn’t. I had it years ago and I remember it being the best pasta I had ever had, so rich and creamy. The best part was the courgette fries and wine. Such a shame because we used to love Rosannas but maybe we just picked the wrong dishes.

The place is very nice and is in a good area of the city, where everything is very close, even the parking lot and the train station, the food is very good and the service of our waitress Valentina was really spectacular.

Valentina made our dining experience exceptional! Her attentive service and recommendations, paired with the delicious Beef Arancino, Funghi Pizzete, and Norma Rigatoni, truly impressed us. A must-try combination!

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was exceptional, and I highly recommend trying their pasta salsiccia and arancinos - they were a hit with both me and my companions. The attention to detail in service, the order, and the decor was commendable. Special thanks to Valentina for her outstanding recommendations and professionalism; she made our visit truly memorable.

The restaurant is located in a good place, close to the train station and right in front there is a parking lot. The food is excellent and the service that Valentín gave us was fantastic. We will definitely return.

Really enjoyed our time at Rosannas recently. Food was really nice and was presented well. Service was excellent with a waiter standing out to us with the name Zach as we asked. Would highly recommend their selection of Arancinis with the mushroom one standing out the most.

We went for dinner and drinks last week at Rosanna’s, the food was lovely and very quick to come out. Having not been to Rosannas’s in a while we were very excited to go and we were not disappointed! The waitress recommended the Parmiagiana and it was delicious 😋

We were really disappointed with our meal at Rosanna’s last night. We’ve been before and had such a great meal, so were expecting better. When we arrived we were taken to a table upstairs at the back of the restaurant which was cold and lacked any atmosphere. We asked to move which they were able to do for us and another party. We were then seated downstairs which had a bit more of a buzz to it. We ordered food and drink and waiter seemed a little bit inexperienced. He checked my main course that I wanted with me as there were 2 which were quite similar. Starters took a while to arrive and were lovely. Burrata, Bruschetta and a gorgeous aubergine arancini. When our mains arrived, mine did not look very appetising. I put my fork in and realised they’d given me the wrong one. I asked the waiter and he apologised and said it was his mistake that he’d ordered the wrong one. He asked if I wanted to change it but given the time we’d waited (over an hour after we’d arrived) I said I’d just eat it (also didn’t want my husbands to go cold!) My main was the parmigiana di Zucchini (I’d ordered the normal parmigiana) I can only describe it as sliced courgette in melted cheese! I barely ate half of it. My husband said his main was just average. When our bill arrived we had to ask for my main to be taken off as they were not forthcoming with any offer. The waiters were all young and inexperienced, they would do much better if they had 1 or 2 older experienced waiters to support and train properly. Wine and starters were nice.

Finally a real Italian place In London !!!

I picked Rosanna's at random after browsing for a restaurant to have a meal at with friends. It excelled in all departments. There were 9 of us and staff were very helpful and attentive and the food was excellent. We stayed not far short of four hours and never felt rushed or pressured to leave. Highly recommended.

Good and authentic italian food as always. Have been multiple times for lunch and will definitely try brunch on Sunday.

Great good but the portions were very small

Starter was yum, however my ravioli for my main was the same portion as a starter but double the price! So, informed my waiter and only a portion of fries were provided. Ravioli sauce was slightly plain, and could of done with some more seasonings, however I am happy to give this place another go and visit again in the future.

Service was really, really poor. This got in the way of nice drinks/good wine and reasonable food. My arancini had cold spots which Didn’t fill me with confidence, as rice needs to be heated up well! My chicken parmigiana was very nice though, and my friends liked their food too. We didn’t get to try pudding because the service was so slow. At one point they served two mains to my friends, went away, then came back a few minutes later and took them away saying they were meant for someone else! Not sure the someone else would’ve wanted their food all breathed over… they did give us a free bottle of wine to apologise for the service.

Very nice Sicilian food! Lovely service and really tasty dishes! I’ve recommend the pasta and the calamari the most! Some people will call this food quite “fat” but I think the“comfort food” it’s a right description! Really like it! We will get back there for sure!

At the same point I asked for my poached eggs to be done hard as well. Having placed our order for both drinks and food the lady serving us had to come back and ask again what our drinks order was. After 30 minutes she came by the table, saw we still had no food and told us it will be out in a minute. 15 minutes later I had to go to the bar and ask how long. Nobody came and apologised for the delay. It took another 10 minutes before the food arrived and the plates were hotter than the food! Our waitress asked if the food was ok and my wife said it was just ok. They did offer to redo it but we had waited long enough already. My eggs were still very runny. On the plus side portion sizes were relatively large but my wife found herself unable to eat hers. On seeing half a meal left, nobody asked for a reason why. The bill arrived automatically adding 12.5% service charge. I declined to pay it and the waitress was very defensive saying, 'It is all cooked fresh (which I accept) but I added that nigh on 60 minutes was unacceptable. No offer of recompense was forthcoming and no contrition. The impression given was they did not care about our custom. We will not go back, I am sorry to say

We went to Rosanna's expecting an authentic Italian (Sicilian) meal. The food was excellent and the evening started well but the service soon started to slip as things got busier. We ordered starters, a pizetta that I thought would come as an inter course carb, similar to traditional Italian home dining, plus simple main courses. The pizetta came with the main courses, which to be fair in a restaurant is probably not too surprising, just not what I expected. Sadly, after that, we were left alone on a small but busy rooftop terrace, eventually offered dessert menus and then left alone again for what felt like forever. Eventually asked for the bill whereupon they brought out a complementary tiramusu with a candle in it (we were there as a couple for a birthday). Unfortunately, like many other diners, we had to ask for the "optional" service charge to be removed, something that was done without question, rather as if they knew it was coming. Sadly disappointing.

Would really recommend visiting this restaurant, the interior, service, atmosphere, food and drinks were absolutely incredible. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Would really like to highlight the amazing service and especially a big shout out to Federico as him and his colleagues went above and beyond! Will definitely be visiting again!

First time visited this restaurant. Wanted to go for years since we moved to the area. The weather was wonderful so we sat up on the outside terrace which was lovely. We were welcomed by Kate with a smile and the service was spot on throughout. The Scicilian food was excellent and sensibly priced. The ambiance was great and we we will certainly go back maybe for weekend brunch where they allow pets too.

Best restaurant in berko! Very friendly staff and great food

Came for dinner, took a while (10 mins) to be seated despite booking and being on time. Service was polite, but slow and wrong a couple of times. The food was pretty disappointing, generally bland and poorly constructed, and finished off with a very watery tiramisu, and the bill was over £90 for two people. Probably won't return.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. It’s very smart and stylish, and the 2 waitresses were first class. The food was lovely, and the IPA very good. It was our first visit , but we will certainly return.

Went there for brunch and the server was just so so sweet and friendly, very helpful. We opted for a Popeye eggs and the Holy trinity Sarnie, with apply and orange juice. Good food and friendly service.

We love having brunches in this original Sicilian restaurant. The food is very testy , cooked with fresh ingredients and there’s a good variety of choice . Being an Italian I appreciate that at Rosanna’s The dishes are prepared with original recipes . Lovely and friendly atmosphere, especially You have to meet Salvatore he’s so friendly and welcoming ! One of my favourite restaurants !

I can’t fathom how this place can get less than 5 stars. Service is great and the atmosphere relaxing. Brunch and lunch here are just superb. Rosanna has the “touch”. Get smashed avocado on toast with a wedge of lime, 2 sausages on the side, with a latte. Beauty. Try the Norma Rigatoni, delicious.

Lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the Primitivo wine, arancino and steak but sadly both pasta dishes we chose were on the undercooked side of al dente. Excellent Tiramisu! Service very friendly but crazily slow.

Really delicious food and generous portions. The steak in this picture is lightly breaded, which I've not had before, but it was amazing! Since rebranding as "Rosanna's" this is now a restaurant, rather than a cafe. There are no longer panini's or take away coffees. I presume that means the cakes too, unfortunately. The cakes are the best in town!
