Had Sunday meal here 13th April 2025.
There were 4 of us .
We all had different meals which is good because alot of places only do Sunday roast .we all had 3 courses and all the food was hot and well presented.
There was only 2 working but coped well .
The pub itself inside looks a bit shabby but don't let that put you off great place for dinner .
And a good price great value for money
Visited here with a lunch group that I run.
There were 9 of us and we ordered 8 different meals which came out in good time and everyone enjoyed what they had.
Good nicely presented food at a good price in a lovely location.
I think this is now on our list to revisit.
went earlier on in the day around 11-12, lovely food and quick service all around very nice but let down by unwelcoming service by the female with short hair, felt bad for ordering by the look on her face. x
Awesome pies, liquor is amazing, chili vinegar is cracking. Never had a bad meal here. Would absolutely recommend! Prices are slightly higher than my other Pie & Mash shop but happy to pay that seeing as the foods is to die for and always delish!! Very happy to urge you to have your meal there!! I promise you wont be sorry you did!
We love our visits here. We all had the tuna and spring onion jacket potato. It was delicious and a good size. Side salad was lovely too. Staff are friendly and atmosphere good. Meals are excellent prices too. Definitely recommend thank you.
I had never tried Chandini before but friends had recommended it & I can see why. The food was full of flavour and had that freshly prepared feeling. I would have given them 5 stars if there had been more king prawns in the biriyani - I think I only counted 4. However, everything was enjoyable and certainly a cut above the other takeways in Sawbridgeworth.
Excellent friendly welcome by young and attentive staff. Enjoyed fish & chips, freshly cooked and tasty.
Good selection of beers and wine. Honeycombe cheesecake and ice cream dessert to die for…..
First visit but highly recommended.
We ordered a take away from here on our last night in Swanton Novers - which was about a five minute drive away.
The food was hot when we got it home, had good portion sizes and the Penang curry was delicious. The pad Thai was nice, but could have done with some fresh lemon, peanuts and chilli flakes either in the side or over the top.
The sizzling beef was lovely, as were the ribs. However, the prawns in blankets were a bit underwhelming and we couldn't find any traces of spicy pork stuffed within.
However, we will return next time we're up that way.
