Great pub, lovely food and beers, the locals very welcoming, pub has something for everyone, great real ales, sports live music highly recommended, I had their beef Wellington was amazing will be back.

The Five Bells has a great atmosphere, amazing food, and lovely staff!! We absolutely love coming here! The guest room available is well equipped and very spacious, it also has a private entrance which is amazing. We will definitely be staying again :)

Not open although it advertises it would be open from 12pm...drove 15 miles to find a blackboard up saying only open at 4pm. Would love to visit.

Lovely little pub, we only had time for a quick drink , but the food looked and smelt amazing. We will definitely be returning to sample the menu.

Absolutely love this place. Friendly and welcoming, just how a local pub should be.

I went and performed some live music for these guys last month, it went down a storm and they had some great suggestions for me to do next time - audience interaction is key! It has become something of a hot spot for live music in Bedfordshire, and thank God for it because it appears to be exactly what the Village of Cople has asked for. The pub itself is old school by design, and that adds all the more charm to it. The bar is stocked for all occasions, and features guest ales. Other reviewers have praised the food so I need to check that out soon as well. See you again soon guys! 🎸

We arrived just before the kitchen closed but they very kindly seated us for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the young blond lady working there - I didn't catch her name but she was awesome and dealt with some fussy people on our table very well. I'd have slapped some of us but that's why I don't work face to face with people 🤣 thank you for a great Sunday lunch!

Amazing food, great drinks selection and all round lovely people. They also have a beautiful outdoor area with seating and brilliant live music! If you’re passing through or live nearby, it’s a cosy, welcoming environment.

Incredibly good, last day before lockdown, all the health and safety measures were taken and delivered by staff as it should be, locals as always, really friendly and chatting to us, staff polite and friendly, you really can't ask for more than this when you going to a small local village pub what is well refurbished nice and cosy. Thanks for made us feel welcome in your place. It's not easy when English is not your first language, but people make you feel like you're at home. Guys waiting to see you soon, and thanks for everything.

We came here today (Saturday) for a lunch. Our first visit to the pub, but it looks to be under new management. Family run, with very attentive service. The food was all lovely (lunch features a lighter menu), and the prices were very fair. This pub has a cosy, independent vibe which we were fond of, and we'll definitely be back in the near future.

It used to be great paella place but now it’s a joke, even the chips were badly cooked...

I went today with friends and we found that the chef has changed without notice. It’s our usual place to eat paellas and although they were advertised still in the website and in one of the boards, they did not offer anymore. We end up eating overpriced tapas. Almost 6 pounds each for small portions and undercooked fried potatoes. We wanted to finish the meal on a high note by taking the almond cake with a shot of sherry wine. We had it before, it was around 5 pounds and to our surprise it did not contain almonds or sherry wine. Instead a really bad sponge cake and a shot of a really bad liqueur thinking that the customers are ignorant enough not to see the difference. I was thinking of following the owners and try the new restaurant but I really feel insulted.

Really good and cheap for a Sunday lunch.

Went for mothers day carvery, within 5 minutes of starting to eat something made me feel very unwell such that I couldn't finish my meal, will never go back

Generally not impressed with the food... My salad was a few limp leaves, the squid on my prawn and squid skewer, obviously frozen, almost raw and tough. Had to ask for a finger bowl - why? Debris on the table hadn't been cleaned off before we were seated, and the desert menu took 15 minutes to arrive. And squirty cream on my partner's plate! Oh dear, not good enough.

Went today. This is a dog friendly pub. The staff were friendly. The food was really good, I can only speak for myself, I had a chorizo & beef burger with sweet potato fries. It was excellent! & I'm not just saying that. Thought the funny face in the dips in the burger was a funny touch, made us laugh. We all really enjoyed our meals, sat in the main bar area, which has a lovely character to it. First visit, but will recommend & return. Thank you.

Enjoyed our meal here, none of us went very adventurous but the burgers were very nice and I'd definitely eat here again. The menu is varied and if it's all cooked as good as the burgers I'm confident it would be a nice meal. Also nice atmosphere in the pub/restaurant and great friendly people serving up the food and drinks

Great village pub, great serving authentic Spanish food. Owners David and Aggie give it a homely feel and are very welcoming. Worth a visit.

We had a very pleasant time at The five bells, very kind, smiley, helpful staff, cosy place. We would have been happier to have a separate vegan menu as there is a nice selection of vegan food they have. The vegan tomato soup, paella and doughnut dessert was delicious, served on a warm plate.One of the best vegan food! Thank you!
