Fantastic buffet prepared by Café Mar-Chelles for a networking lunch. Excellent value for money and was absolutely delicious 😋

Lovely staff and fantastic breakfast!

Came in this morning (19/2) with my daughter and can't speak more highly of everyone there. My daughter was a bit antsy yet the owner went out of their way to bring a few toy cars over for her to play with while we were waiting for food. People were very talkative which was lovely and food was great too! Will definitely be visiting again

This is a lovely cafe where there is always a warm welcome. The staff are attentive, and no matter how busy they are, take time to chat to everyone, especially the elderly

Prompt service, polite staff and my order of bacon and egg sandwich and coffee was well presented and very good quality. Would recommend if you're in the area

Don't rate this place at all had scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Eggs were over cooked, toast was warm bread and very little mushrooms. Wouldn't recommend it or go back

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Decaff cappuccino and their all-day breakfast with substitutions no problem. And fried bread. No one sells fried bread nowadays. Well Cafe Marchelles does. Superb. 🍽🥓🍳

This is our go to place with a gentleman who has dementia, the staff are truly fabulous with all of us well done Mark Michelle nikki Sarah you are truly wonderful people and great great food. You will not be disappointed with any aspect of this place.

I'm looking at the gorgeous photos of food on this page and I'm so confused about what happened to me today. I paid £5,50 for the blandest, saddest tomato mozzarella baguette ever. I'm all about supporting small businesses and I wouldn't have minded paying £10 for a yummy sandwich, but this was a disheartening experience and I feel like for that price tag the quality of products, imagination and effort could've been a bit more on point. I was so hungry and I really wanted to like it and go back there again. Maybe the choice of tomato mozzarella baguette was wrong, but if you're going to execute something poorly why have it on the menu at all...

Good value for money and friendly staff

I have been visiting this cafe since it opened and I also use to visit the cafe before the current owners took over, The community spirit in this cafe currently is amazing. I frequently visit here (a bit to much I might add lol) due to this reason and of-course not to mention the cooked breakfast! Perfect, The service is amazing and me and my family feel extremely comfortable and part of the family when we are here. I’m saddened to hear someone might feel their colour is a problem in this cafe and that’s probably why I’m posting this review. I am of mixed races and my partner is an African Rastafarian, When we arrive at the cafe we are called by our names, we don’t have to order either the staff and master chef know what we want, we have a good old chin wag and put the world to rights every visit guaranteed! Mark the male partner that was mentioned I feel personally is one of the most down to earth humble Man you could meet. He will often sit and have a good old natter with us and we love it honestly, This cafe is a great vibe with amazing food and the best customer service, My daughter always gets given a ice lolly or cake, sweetie when she leaves just out of kindness, Also I would like to add that I do know the owner’s children (master chef) and they are mixed race like myself but of Asian mixed to be precise, No offence intended to anyone regarding my review i do however feel it was necessary for my view to be expressed as someone of dual heritage!

I have been frequently using the service's of this Cafe in Kempston where I live for many years on and off, and when it was owned and managed by the lovely lady called Jenny previously, I found the establishment to be very welcoming and warm and often I found myself having a jolly simple and friendly chat with the said proprietor Jenny which was always very pleasurable. However, since the Cafe has been managed by the current owners I have had the complete opposite experience every time I visit. The lady who is usually cooking in the rear kitchen, who I think is one of the proprietors is consistently unfriendly towards me, and is constantly belittling me at every opportunity, always wanting to prove me wrong in anything I say - food request or inquiry etc. and always appears to display a Contemptuous manner towards me directly for no apparent reason !? Her male partner who I assume is the other proprietor is also constantly unwelcoming towards me and Never wants any engagement with me whatsoever - I am religiously ignored ! I remain baffled at this regular Negative reception that I receive, I don't know these people and have certainly not given any provocation for such unorthodox treatment. I am fully aware that I am the only coloured / ethnic patron present and have started to wonder if this is the sole reason for such Primitive Hostile treatment which I have experienced ongoing. I have decided that I won't visit again where I am consistently unwelcome + under such circumstances I find that I don't enjoy the food presented to me + once I stated that I didn't want the blackened burnt toast on my plate and the lady from the kitchen and another lady staff were adamant that the toast wasn't burnt but just over cooked on the outside, but I insisted that I didn't want blackened toast - so the lady from the kitchen brought me another toast but didn't put it on a plate when she brought it over to my table - she presented it on a piece of tissue. I could only assume that I wasn't worthy enough to be provided with another small plate for the replacement toast. Yours sincerely, Mr Singh. Further to the Owner's Reply -; ..... What a treat, what a place! This is an amazing cafe with fantastic customer service and beautifully decorated serving quality breakfast. They even opened earlier than usual so I can collect my pre-ordered fry-up baps in time for work. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Will definitely go back.

Boss treated us all to breakfast, and what a treat it was!! Bacon sausage egg and hash brown in a bap… delicious! Highly recommend… I shall be visiting for a fry up! 😀

Beautiful place to be with friendly staff and great food

Went here today with my daughter and son in law Julie and Bryan and found all the staff and Mark and Michelle so welcoming and friendly .Lovely food I certainly hope to again very soon

Just had a coffee today, which was lovely. The welcome I received was so friendly and welcoming, it's what you need when you first visit a cafe. It really made my day 🙂 I saw some people having a lovely looking cooked breakfast. Nice outdoor seating as well as nicely decorated interior. Throughly recommend

Lovely little cafe we stumbled upon. Very clean and welcoming. Sarah our waitress is absolutely wonderful, so charming. Martin and I think the ladies name is Michelle, are lovely hosts. The food was well presented and beautifully cooked. Marvellous.

Beautifully decorated and clean. Cheerful and attentive staff. Food is well prepared and presented. Good prices. Seating both inside and out. Fairly priced meals from British Breakfasts to salads. Highly recommended
