Great spot for some vegan ice cream/sorbet. My little boy is anaphylactic to dairy and was very cautious about eating any when he was looking at the different flavours (there were 4 for him to choose from). The lady quickly realised he was upset and got some fresh utensils out to reassure him and he gladly accepted it! It's finally nice to know we can take him somewhere and he can join in! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for making an allergy child feel included x

Ordered 2 bacon and sausage baps and two teas. Should have been suspicious when we requested crispy bacon. What arrived was the very worst we have ever had, doughy bread, tasteless rubbery bacon (not crispy!), cheap bready sausages, utterly tasteless, left most of it and walked away feeling a bit sick. 😱

We were in the town and decided to try the ice cream from here. There was a good choice of flavours. The place was quiet when we got there but there was a long line of people waiting just after we arrived. We had a chocolate ice cream, a mint choc chip ice cream and creme brulee ice cream in cones. They tasted quite good, not overly the best ice creams have had. The ice cream melted quite quickly so it got messy and the cone got soggy quickly and because there is a hole at the bottom of the cone the melting ice cream would drip out and get everywhere. The paper napkins that you can get from the dispenser on the ice cream counter weren't the best quality. Overall the ice cream was nice, the person serving seemed to be friendly. Location is good in the centre of the town.

Stopped briefly in Hunstanton and fancied an ice cream while sitting in the car overlooking the sea. We didn't get the friendliest of greetings but hey-ho, we ordered the vanilla to take away. This has got to be the weirdest ice cream ever. The colour looked artificial, the taste was over sweet and, yes, artificial. But the weirdest thing was the texture - gritty and unpleasant. £3.50 for a small tub and I so wished she hadn't over filled it!

Lovely views across the Green and over the sea. Outside tables protected from breeze by glass screens. Service and food had an end of season feel to it so nothing particularly special albeit, in fairness, we are talking late October. Couldn't see a full menu outside or indeed inside until we got to the counter and found a leaflet. In summary - great location, prices sensible and on balance worth a look if passing.

Excellent choice of ice creams. We had 3 small tubs so around 1 large scoop each. Flavours chosen were rum and raisin, key lime and Norfolk fudge. All highly enjoyed it only downside was it cost £9. So £3 per scoop whereas I feel £2 a scoop would’ve been more reasonable. However the ice cream was all vegetarian friendly this also kept my review high and it was proper ice cream not whippy

Visited today and a windy but reasonably warm bank holiday Monday lunchtime, sat inside. My wife ordered 3 ice creams, but said “as we have a 2 year old and she’d not manage a whole one, could we get a spoon to share one please?” Only to be told “I’ll have to charge you 50 pence for a spoon”. This was not (as we expected) a gold or silver plated spoon, crafted to perfection at the local jewellers, but a one use plastic ice cream scoop, approximately 93mm long. Must be at least a 5000% markup there... complete rip off.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

We have had ice cream here on many occasions without any problems. Service has been great, ice cream and food has been fabulous and I have always recommended this place to family and friends. We visited today and ordered three ice creams a mint ice cream and two whippy ice creams. My son and I had the whippy ice cream but it just didn’t taste right, it had an off/slightly sour taste. So I approached the man that served me to notify him of this and the response I got was appalling. His facial expression and body language was very standoffish and there was no customer service at all. The response I got was that I’ve been serving this all day and nobody else has had a problem, he then tasted it himself and said it was fine and told me that if I didn’t like it to throw it in the bin. There was no apology, no offer of a replacement or refund. I wasn’t rude to him, if I had been then maybe I would have understood his hostility. I had to ask him if would offer something else instead ie a vanilla from their homemade selection or a refund or a part refund. He very reluctantly offered something else. By then I had thrown both whippy’s in the bin and told him not to bother and stormed off (I was so angry by then, which is not like me). But I did go back as I felt as a customer I had been treated badly and he needed the feedback. I did (reluctantly from the chap that served me) get a tub of vanilla ice cream with a flake and sprinkles to replace the whippy for my son (he had sprinkles and a flake originally which he hadn’t eaten and me too and I would have happily popped the flake in a replacement ice cream rather than throw it in the bin had the matter have been dealt with more appropriately in the first place). He told me that he couldn’t afford to give away free ice cream and didn’t want to argue with me in front of customers and that I was the one that chose to throw the whippy’s in the bin. When I challenged him on this he said he only asked me to throw the whippy’s in the bin because they were dripping all over his counter/cabinet, they weren’t by the way. I didn’t want any free ice cream or an argument and that wasn’t why I took the ice creams back. They just didn’t taste right. We just wanted to enjoy an ice cream in the sun. What I would have liked to hear was “I am sorry about that” “let me look into that for you” “is there anything else you would like instead as a replacement” “ let me try it myself” and I did tell him this. Saying sorry is not an admission of fault in any way, in my view it’s good customer service and you should always take on board feedback from your customers. I hope whoever owns this business reads this and takes this on board in the future. Best of luck to you as the mint ice cream that my husband had was amazing. But after today’s experience we won’t be coming back for that again particularly as I was told that I would’nt be welcome.

We were in search of a mid-morning snack, we being, two young children and three adults. We sat inside and ordered our food, but noticed that there were a multitude of wasps on the window as we sat down. Not wanting to cause a fuss we thought we would stay put. We then decided to move outside, because of the wasps and the children were going to be eating jam and toast. We went outside, only to be bombarded with these creatures. My five year old granddaughter subsequently got stung in the mouth by a wasp. Whilst I realise that we were outside, the staff did absolutely nothing to come and help. Of course she was distressed, as so were all of us . We left rapidly to take her to the local pharmacist for treatment. I can only say that if there was an insect repellent machine within the café, we would have stayed inside and avoided the situation that occurred. Needless to say we won't be returning and in fact made sure that people that were going to visit the café were told of what had happened.

I had noticed The Hunstanton Ice Cream Company sign above a very busy shop frontage and after looking at the enormous range of flavours in the freezer, chose a Salted Caramel for myself and a Key Lime for my partner. £2.50 gets a well packed scoop of a single flavour in a very superior waffle cone with a circular waffle biscuit tucked in the top. I cannot say how much we enjoyed our little treat. Both of us seemed to be licking for ages and that last little point of the cone didn't go soggy! What can I say, local cafe providing reasonable food at reasonable prices, only quirky thing was having to go to the toilet in the toy shop 2 doors up the hill 😁

This was the first eatery we when to at the start of our holiday. They do allow well behaved dogs but we sat outside with ours as the sun was shining. Very friendly and fast service. Food was lovely and so was the big bit of cake we had! Later in the week we tried one of their lovely ice creams. Lots of flavours to choose from. This place was always busy.

Driving round the area looking for a cafe for hot drinks we found this place. Got a good cup of coffee and pot of tea. Was amazed at the different varieties of ice cream they sold, and some that we saw looked good.

Although to many people, The Pavilion is viewed mainly as an ice-cream parlour, on our visit we needed warming up and their selection of hot drinks, cakes etc. did the job for us. The interior is bright and clean, with a lovely, glass-sheltered seating area...

Sorry, but you're just too expensive. Having to hand over a £20 note for a family of six and getting very little change really hurts. The ice cream is of course very nice, but the cold-faced manner of the serving staff reinforces the belief that...

Called in for lunch, pictures of waffles swayed it for the children. We had jacket potatoes and panini, all good size and lovely tasty homemade coleslaw. Reasonably priced and waffles and cakes great too. Would recommend a visit.

Poor lazy attitude typical of a busy seaside holiday town. The hot chocolate and the ice creams were nice enough but the dirty table and lack of effort let it down. Each ice cream flavour we picked from the menu was 'not on today'. Good location on the green though and a great toy shop a couple of doors up.

Visited yesterday and purchased three ice creams, all different flavours, five scoops in total. All large scoops and plenty of flavours to choose from. Would definitely recommend. Made a pit stop in Hunstanton specially to get these ice creams as was so nice the last time we visited.

As a local, I often walk along the prom in the evenings and on a couple of occasions my mother and I have taken a detour to The Pavillion. The ice creams as they are displayed look very enticing, however, on the few times we have visited, we have been very disappointed. They definitely look better than they taste. We have found that the pieces of chocolate, nuts, fruit or whatever it may be that is associated with your flavour of choice, are just placed on the top of the tubs for display purposes and do not run throughout the ice cream itself as you would expect. For example, one time I chose the Ferrero Roche and it was just vanilla ice-cream with a few crumbs of chocolate, you could not taste the Ferrero Roche at all, although, the vanilla flavour was nice. We have been a few times to try different flavours, but from our experience, they are nice to look at but not worth £2.50 a scoop.

Quick evening blip over to 'sunny hunny' where the sun sets on the east coast, the aim being to walk the dog on the beach and eat chish n fips by the sea, it tastes better with sea air don't you know. After the chippie, oh and the doughnut van, avoiding the candy floss and stick of rock van we decided to tick just one more of the 'typical food eaten at the seaside' boxes and hit up the ice cream parlour at The Pavillion............knock out, black cherry bakewell and passionfruit, 2 scooper. The other half of the dullard duo having Ferrero Rocher - letting the ambassador spoil her in ice cream form.Total quality, lovely wee lass serving and too much of a selection for someone who was squeezing in far too much in a Mr Creosote style. Talking of which, I had the wafer, it was stuck in the top of my 2 scoop cone and on it was printed gelato.......up until now I've avoided gelato as another fashion, I genuinely have no idea what it is (I know it's ice cream). Have I just eaten gelato ice cream, clueless, but if it was, I'll be eating more of it I reckon.I will see you soon Pavillion, thank you and well done :-)

It’s lovely inside, so much to look at and things for sale too. I ordered a sausage egg and bacon roll. It was quite big! It came on a warm plate and the meat was from priors butchers. The teapots and crockery were vintage, loved them. I saw they catered well for gluten free and vegetarian options too. The cafe is dog friendly so as a dog lover, sitting by the door was fun to greet them as they came in. Can’t fault the food, parking, and all the lovely things to look at. I think it could be made more cosy by maybe putting up small partitions/ trellis in some areas maybe. They had a large selection of amazing cakes too!

I visited this cafe today for the first time. The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choices for a lunchtime menu and also reasonably priced for Burnham Market. The drinks we ordered came out fairly swiftly and the food not long behind.Nicely presented and tasty. Its obviously very popular and we will definitely return again soon
