I was walking from the Naze to Clacton and had spotted G&T on the net so was aiming for breakfast there as it was on the way. I arrived at 11.40 and ordered a black coffee and a menu, when the staff brought my coffee I tried to order but was told they did not take food orders from 11.40-12. I was a bit disappointed but waited and then at 12 the staff took orders for lunch from everyone else including people who arrived after me. On arrival at my table I was told they couldn’t commit to a time when I’d receive my meal. I’m gobsmacked the management can’t cope with a change over from breakfast menu to lunch menu with out refusing service. I paid for my coffee and left very disappointed

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The staff here are great My partner and I both noticed that the portion sizes of the sides were disappointingly small. The burger I ordered came with a teaspoon of coleslaw and a scent number of chips. Noticeable decline over the years.

One of the best takeaways we have had in Bedford. The Lamb Tikka Biriyani and the chicken tikka jalfrezi was one of the best i have had in Bedford. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for proper traditional indian food as this is the place to order from. Delivery was very quick and the food fresh & piping hot would definitely order again.

We had a fantastic last meal at Mr Tangs. We have been visiting for over 30 years and have never had a bad meal. With very best wishes to Mary, Ken and all the team for the future. Thank you for all the excellent food, always friendly welcome and lovely atmosphere. It will be much missed and judging by how full the restaurant was earlier we aren't the only ones who will miss it!

We had travelled down from bradford to spend time with family from Peterborough for the new year. We have been to plenty of restaurants in bradford and have to say that after having the food at deens currys we were blown away. Everyone of us enjoyed our starters and mains. The service was spot on with conversations flowing yet very professional throughout. We will definitely be back next time we visit Peterborough. Thank you for making the start of our celebrations memorable

My favourite cafe in Saffron Walden. The owner is so welcoming and the staff are attentive. The menu is so varied and all delicious. Portions are generous and threat value for money. Always busy and a great atmosphere. Don’t miss out on his great place.

The Chequers looks amazing having been renovated but retains its original character with beams etc. Excellent menu for families as well as couples etc at a very attractive price. Mine host, Terry, and his wife are Excellent hosts and work extremely hard to make it the success it is, and to remain the hub of the village. Highly recommended.

We came here based on recommendations. It’s a lovely setting, low ceiling, twinkly lights. The staff were awesome, friendly and attentive. Except somewhere along the line our order wasn’t placed. We sat for almost an hour waiting for our food. The wait staff explained what had happened and as a compensatory gesture, they removed the cost of one meal and one drink that was ordered during our wait. Our food arrived…fish pie, which really was a dish of dry mashed potato with an odd prawn and scraps of white fish and possibly salmon. The dish was sat on a paper serviette, on to which a couple of tablespoons of frozen peas had been served- I think it was £18.00. My partner had rib eye steak which was small and way overdone, with two onion rings that had no onion in them and oven chips. for £25. We believe, based on our long wait due to the order not being placed, that because they stop service at 9.00 our order was thrown together by a reluctant ‘chef’ (and I use that term lightly!) I was hesitant to review as the staff were so nice, and we were compensated with the removal of the fish pie and one wine, however, the food was so below average I think I would have reviewed anyway if we’d had to pay full price for such meagre, poor offerings, plus the fact we’ll never be returning.
