The best restaurants in East of England

My experience of this restaurant has been horrendous. We waited more than an hour in the restaurant for the food. They were overwhelmed with orders and did not have a proper system in place to cope with them. So orders were being served almost randomly. To top it off I had food poisoning from their food which put me in bed for 3 days. Thanks for ruining my Christmas.

What a delightful little gem of a place with super friendly staff, with wonderful freshly cooked food served in generous quantities. Very good value all round! We look forward to returning again soon.

Fat Bro’z is everything you want a burger place to be. Scintillating munch, fantastic customer service and overall the best and definitive takeaway experience in Norwich. That’s not even forgetting the wings holy Christ the wings were amazing.

Stayed on Mersea Island for a few days with friends for birthday celebration and was looking for somewhere to go for afternoon tea. Found The Gilt Rooms on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a go. We had to book for the afternoon tea but wow so worth it. Everything from the freshly made sandwiches to the warm fresh out of the oven scones and home bakes cakes (chocolate eclair, victoria sandwich, lemon drizzle and choc brownie were amazing. All washed down with a perfectly chilled glass of prosecco and lashings of tea or coffee. It was the absolute best afternoon tea I've ever had and have had a few. Will definitely visit again when there.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Meat and vegetables first class. Yorkshire pudding not brilliant today - a little dry - but has been good on previous visits - so probably a blip. Cauliflower cheese , beef, roast potatoes and swede mash first class.

Been several times during the year and it never disappoints. The Tuna is to die for, that it’s best I’ve ever had, beats the Spanish any day. I’ve also had the Ham, Egg and Chips, beautifully flavoured home baked ham, so full of flavour. Service is great, place is away packed. My son goes for the burgers and my husband the fish pie. Keep up the good work !

This restaurant is absolutely amazing me and the hubby have visited the restaurant 8 times + in 2 weeks the food is wonderful every dish we have had has arrived piping hot the steak and mushroom pie in my opinion is the best I have ever tasted. The food is lovingly presented the staff are really friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble, thank you to you all see you in March.

This was always my go to for Chinese food since corner house went downhill I don’t know if it’s because of the new people who work there now who are lovely but I ordered park balls and never again! they had absolutely no taste at all just a sensation of something in your mouth! Gutted

Tried a few different Indian restaurants recently (after falling out of love with our local) and we had a fantastic experience at Cafe Masala last night. Best curry I've had in a long time, great service from all the staff and nothing to fault, will definitely be returning. Keep it up!
