Our family and friends have been going to the Curry Inn for decades, we love it for their amazing service and their secret weapon. . The chicken Sheraji! Give it a try.

The Curry Inn does not fail. Table for 8 at short notice as The Indian Lounge down the road f*cked up massively. The Curry Inn service and food was outstanding. Thanks guys!!

Repeat visit. Previous visits very good but this time average. Excellent poppadums with pickles. Mixed starters dry in parts and so so samosas. Classic Rogon Curry good but Biriani far too dry. Friendly and courteous staff. Plenty of free parking. Will try again another time.

I love this restaurant. I was driving all day and just crashed out at the Hotel down the road. Ordered a delivery (free delivery) and had papadums with the chutney tray, prawn Pathia and coconut rice. Delivered by a very smart dressed man who was ultra respectful and was the best delivery experience. I am surprised at the negative reviews as to me this is a fantastic place for a curry Well done guys (and girls)

The food here is absolutely excellent. I had a chicken Tandoori and my friend had a chicken tikka. The ingredients were fresh and carefully prepared, and the portions were generous. The furnishings and decor were tasteful and spotless. This would be a great place to take someone for a date or to impress some visiting guests. Highly recommended.

A wide range of delicious starters like prawn puri and reshmi lamb kebab and classic and speciality mains. The lamb marchi was a treat. Also a range of classic and stuffed naan breads. Friendly, attentive staff. Plenty of free parking.

Always had good food and excellent service when visiting the restaurant. However, during lockdown I phoned to order a delivery, I was told they couldn't take card payments. So on delivery I paid and gave a couple of quid to the driver. This Saturday I ordered again and on delivery paid cash, the driver then told me he didn't have any change!! I ended up tipping him £5!! Someone is making a lot of money through this scam. Cash in hand.... Then no change!! Come on!! On the plus side the food was great

Our first and last delivered meal for two I’m afraid. Bland food, loaded with onion, bland onion at that. Where were the spices? No taste whatsoever.

We had gluten free and vegan at our table. It was no trouble with appropriate recommendations made. Food was fairly priced for the quality. Ambience was spot on. Parking is free. Never failed to disappoint as a take away or eat in restaurant.

By far the best curry house in Suffolk. Super friendly staff, amazing staff and the very best food. This is the only Indian we will go to. Great work

Charged us double for 4 currys £167.00 when I said about it got angry when I said was.nt paying all that he threatened to call the police unless I paid would never eat here again needs some training in cutomer service avoid avoid avoid

Consistently great over the 12 years we have been visiting, and they have been fantastic adapting to the covid-19 situation. Would highly recommend. I nearly always have the Chicken Shashlik.

I would rate the Curry Inn @ Needham Market as the best in Suffolk that I’ve tried, albeit an eat in or takeaway. All the food is tasty and pipping hot. Really disappointed with a takeaway we ordered tonight. Ordered chicken tikka masala - tasteless - I’ve never had a worse one!Dansak - again never had a bad one. This one tasted bland, almost gravy like. I can’t understand how the reviews can be so different to what I had tonight - maybe the locals are used to a bland Indian. Maybe the restaurant food is different to the take out?? Staff very friendly when I picked up though. Such a shame but we won’t be going back there ☹️

Went for the mystery meal, starter and main. Really enjoyed it, not something I would normally had, really glad we did it. No complaints service excellent!

Staying in the area for 1 night visited the Curry Inn based on previous reviews, we weren’t disappointed. Everything was perfect, waiter, drinks & food were excellent. Would definitely recommend and visit if in the area again. Well done Curry Inn.

Visited the Curry Inn with my partner on a Saturday night. Restaurant was full and a good atmosphere. Food was top class and the service we received was also top drawer. Best Indian restaurant in the area for me.

I have to say the food was absolutely delicious we had ordered a takeaway as was staying nearby with family ... allways look at reviews before ordering and was not disappointed. Definitely at must !!!

The best Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Been a regular customer for over ten years and the food is consistently brilliant. Above that though, is the atmosphere and attitude of the staff. Absolutely fantastic and couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Our 1st visit with friends and I must say, we had the best service and friendliest staff I've ever had in an Indian restaurant.

I booked as my Son asked to go for his 21st birthday meal. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend booking as very busy. And they bought our son a pint for his birthday.

I eat at this wonderful restaurant when I visit my mum, who lives in Suffolk and we are never disappointed. The food and service is always amazing. I can’t fault the place. My only gripe is that it’s not in my local town!. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant that I have ever eaten in, in all of my 54 years.

Absolutely perfect. Pleased that we booked as very busy. Seven including one child. All chose different and everyone satisfied. When the waiter saw the 21st balloon he bought the birthday boy a drink and had a chat which made the meal special.

Got a takeaway as it was recommended by a few people and seeing as it always seems busy I thought it must be good. Oh how wrong I was, ordered a chicken madras and rice with a naan and after waiting for nearly an hour I walked out with my takeaway. Got home and opened up containers and wondered what the hell I had been given! The sauce was some sort of see through yellow stuff which was tasteless, the meat (I think it was meat!) was pink and I am sure I saw it move, this crap went straight in the bin! I have had some shocking curries over the years and this one was the worst I’ve ever bought, a supermarket budget range has more flavour in it. I will not be returning!

I felt obliged to add my review from reading the latest one. We were a party of 9 and my request, as a Vegetarian, for a paneer masala was fulfilled with help and suggestions from the waiting staff and produced with a flourish. Food and service were excellent and the restaurant accommodated separate bills for all without complaint. This is my new favourite Indian.

Mushroom rice rock hard. Veg Ronglia tasteless and had sliced raw chillis, i had to add slat and pepper for some flavour. Never had a meal like this before here. Very shocked.

We went there quite early and were one of the first couples there. By the time we left in time for the cinema the place was full. This did not affect the quality of food or service one iota. It was of a very high standard and one of the most enjoyable meals I have had for a long time.

Amazing food great service would recommend to anyone who loves a bit of spice. Also do a delivery service.

Visited during the week with my wife and the restaurant was reasonably quiet.

Headed here on a Saturday night. Fairly busy so had to book. Great selection of gluten free, interior and restaurant area very nicely decorated and done. Poppadoms came with the best chutney selection I’ve ever had at any Indian - very good. Starters ok - shamee kebab and girlfriends lamb dish a bit dry. Mains very very good though - rice perfectly portioned too - a very good main! Staff very friendly - would certainly return.

Such a shame, not that I have taken the initial greeting by the waiter with the odd greasy top flop hair calling me mate and what do you want mate to heart, the food (takeaway) was tasteless, exceptionally dry and the add in sauce was thick and lumpy. The ‘Lamb’ was clearly end of shelf life Mutton and the whole overall feeling was a lazy chef cobbled together meal. The sag paneer was disgusting. If it was not a take away I would have taken it back. Disappointed and quite frankly a waste of money.

Love a good curry and this modern Indian restaurant is right up there with the best. An interesting menu with some old favourites & a few specials. Freshly prepared well cooked food. We made our own tapas of special curries which were superb. Garlic rice plus lovely bread. And washed down with a couple of cold Banglas. Friendly & attentive service plus good value for money.

Me and my family have been coming here for years! We have had many casual 2 person meals all the way to 20+ people for parties, birthdays and meetings etc and everything in between.

I decided to take my dad for our usual curry night and we usual go to his favourite in Ipswich the Bekash.

Excellent service. Food lovely , had the medium Thali, nice selection. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend.

My first visit here won’t be the last! Pleasantly surprised by the ease of parking, well decorated interior, and polite efficient staff. Everyone enjoyed their meals in a party of nine. Impressed.

Not sure about the restaurant food but the takeaway food is bad, I can get better out of a supermarket. I ordered a chicken madras and what I got was some tasteless yellowish stuff. The rice was burnt and the naan didn’t have flavour but the poppadoms were fab.

Charming restaurant with lovely staff. Very roomy and cosy. Not pricey at all. If you ever need advice on one or two of the dishes all you have to do is ask. The meals are lovely and there is lots of choice. I have been coming here for years and I would recommend this place 1000%. The guys in there are very friendly and helpful too. There is plenty of car park space which is free. They also deliver locally too.

The Staff were so friendly the food was amazing, The service was fantastic, we don't live in Needham Market any more but its worth getting in the car and driving the few miles from Claydon. Other Indians closer in Ipswich but the staff are no where near as nice

Me and my partner eat here regularly and love it. We are always greeted with the most personable and genuine welcome from each and every member of the team. The food is always of the highest standard, even when we try something new off the menu we are always happy. The thali and buffet nights are a must here, as you are offered the most delicious meals for such a good value! We haven’t found a better restaurant with anywhere near as good service and food as we have received here. Would definitely recommend!! We hope to see the team again before Christmas! Xxx

This is our local Indian restaurant and what a treat it is.

I visited the Curry Inn on Tuesday as part of a large group, we had plenty of room and a lovely table all set up for us when we arrived. Our mains were a bit slow to arrive, we waited around an hour however with a group of around 20 people it is to be expected so cannot fault them for that. When the mains did arrive mine was certainly delicious and everybody else in the group agreed with many people trying different dishes. I would definitely recommend this restaurant it is definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area. We will be visiting again.

Visited last night with friends and we all enjoyed our meal, once it arrived. Sadly, the service was not up to the usual high standard and we waited over an hour to be served. Customers calling in for a take-away were being served before diners and my partner eventually had to leave our table and report our displeasure at the bar. However, this has lack of service has never happened before and the manager was most apologetic, explaining he'd had some staff issues and brought us a round of liquors on the house.

Brilliant food. Take away is also high quality. Staff are some of the nicest people in the business. They really look after you. Good for vegetarians also.

Been eating here since I was a kid, and it never fails to satisfy. Great food, good service, great value. Always a winner.

This has to the best Indian you will find. Incredible friendly service and my kids love this place. Food was incredible and brilliant value for money. Now making this a regular eating hole. Highly recommend

We have had many meals at the curry Inn and it always comes up to expectations.

We booked the new annex - all 28 seats. The waiters were great, very attentive without being pushy, timing of courses was spot on and the food was as good as ever. All good reasons we keep coming back to this place.

The curry Inn is very nice. The food is freshly prepared very tasty, a wide range of choices. Family friendly. It is advisable to book at weekends. Friendly staff.

Good food for good value. Came with some friends for a nice meal. Had the buffet meal as worked out better value. Don't be put off by the name of the establishment. Would definitely come back again for a meal.

Had many takeaways from curry inn. Always superb. Decided to have eat in meal. What can i say but absolutely fantastic. 10 out of 10 for food service value for money cleanliness staff . Definatley try this restaurant. Superb.

We used to visit curry inn a lot when we lived in the area, it is now twice the size and modern. We decided to try it again and glad we did.

I have heard good things about this Indian restaurant.... but I wasn't too impressed.

I went to The Curry Inn with my wife and friends and initially found getting in a bit of a problem. I’m in an electric wheelchair and a car was parked in front of the entrance so after trying another entrance and failing the restaurant guys didn’t give up and eventually they got me in another way. Once in we were treated to excellent food and excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble and we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We weren’t rushed and made to feel like we had go unlike some other restaurants. The food was made with good quality ingredients and it showed in the taste. I would definitely go back and would encourage others to go there too. Thanks lads your restaurant is top notch!

In the blur of curry house mediocrity, The Curry Inn is a shining light of flavour, service and choice. The menu has a few of the standard items but there are variations that make it interesting. The portions are not massive, they don’t need to be because they are full of taste and excellently presented. The decor is fresh and modern without being garish or typically ‘Indian restaurant’.

This restaurant is worth a visit. Crisp fresh poppadom. The chicken tikka Jalfrezi was delicious and the naan and pilau rice tasty.

The food and service are always exceptional. I have had food off the standard menu as well as their Thali (like an Indian tapas) and both do not disappoint, well worth the visit.

We’ve visited this Indian a couple of times with friends and always have an excellent meal! They offer an extensive menu and a great Sunday buffet.

I have been here several times and been pleased, but last Thursday we went for a Thalia and was very disappointed. I had the mild, which was chicken tikka masala and one I had not heard of, both the sauces were runny and flavourless, Iv had the tikka masala before and it was lovely, but not this time. My husband had the hot one and that also had very little flavour and runny sauces. They were extremely busy so obviously standards had dropped which was a shame, please lads , keep up your standards at all times.

Booked with neighbours last Saturday in February, nice welcome by staff and seated in new extension. Very nice addition and a little quieter from main area. Food and drinks were excellent as usual and very friendly owner and staff. Highly recommended!

We have been enjoying the Curry Inn ever since it opened. However, on this occasion they failed to register our reservation, and when we arrived, gave us the distinct impression we had not booked,(we are liars?) After a show of trying to find our reservation on a primitive hand written schedule they showed us through to a table at the rear of the restaurant past the toilets and next to the bins, where we were on our own, as if on a "naughty step", where we were ignored as if to teach us a lesson; no one even came to take a drinks order. After 30 minutes we left. My wife was very upset, we don't think we can ever go back, which is a shame as we often were part of large parties dining at this restaurant. Awful shameful way to treat loyal customers.

I ordered a chicken Ceylon curry and accompaniments everything was very tasty but I was disappointed with the curry that was advertised as fairly hot but it was so so mild.

Living locally, we always like to book a table at this excellent restaurant when we fancy a curry. Thoroughly enjoyed my King Prawn Makani with a delicious Mushroom rice and some Raita. Finished with an equally delicious Mango Dessert. Everything beautifully cooked and superb service as ever. Quite easy to park outside too. Booking advisable at the weekends.

I was invited to The Curry Inn in my capacity as a friend of a friend. We were five adults and two teens. This was my first visit so I was unprepared for the fact that the establishment is run on the "buffet" style where crowds of diners mill around a few open pans on a heated bed to jostle for food. This has never been my favourite way to be served. In other outlets I have seen customers take literally handfulls of food, deposit it on their plates then lick their fingers. I did not notice it here but the impression some of us received was of a cheap cafe where the obese and unwashed fill themselves as quickly and grossly as they can. It was not a pleasant sight.

Amazing food, nice and friendly staff. Nicest Indian restaurant around this area for sure. We will be back.

Whilst I enjoyed my meal (prawn puree followed by lamb biryani), I was disappointed with the vegetable curry which came with the biryani. It was mushy and lacked flavour. It spoiled the rest of the dish, as the lamb was beautifully tender. But for the vegetable curry let-down, this rating would have been a 4. Ambience was good, albeit a noisy restaurant, and very friendly service.

Once again have had the most amazing meal at The Curry Inn for my Nephews 18th Birthday, so well catered for and looked after as we were a group of 10 ranging in age from 11 to 75. Wonderful selection of Food catering to all of our tastes (even Steak & Chips) Once again can not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Have visited on a number of occasions and had mostly great experiences, but a couple of past wobbles. However, last night's meal for 4 of us was excellent and the restaurant seems to have learned from its past small 'mistakes'. The service was first class and the food was very good indeed. The ambience has always been a big part of a visit to The Curry Inn and this shone through again last night. Keep it up guys.

A busy restaurant which opens in the evening only. The food is well produced and presented in the traditional Indian fashion. Service was excellent and prompt.

Absolutely brilliant food and service. Great guys who have an excellent sense of humour. Comfortable, clean, very very friendly. Equally does a very good takeaway service and can delivery if within a reasonable distance. Thank you all.

Samosa starter consisted of 2 samosa's. Prawn passanda had 5 whole prawns in it and a couple of broken ones. My husbands Duck garlic Bhuna chosen from the medium (spicy/hot) section was more like a stew and not at all spicy and the bringal bargee only filled the container it was in. Y a third. My food was very tasty, just not a lot of it. I would've preferred to pay extra to ensure we had a substantial amount of food. Neither of us are big eaters but this takes the biscuit. We wouldn't order again.

The two most recent occasions when I have had vegetarian curries from The Curry Inn I have been disappointed. I do expect a mixture of vegetables, and not just one type. On one occasion a friend and me both received onion curry; the only vegetable being onion. Another time, I got a potato curry, with only potatoes in it. How boring is that? When I make curries I add chick peas or other pulses to a variety of vegetables. When we want a take-away, so some people can have meat, I would like an interesting curry myself. I have opted for having a vegetarian side dish instead, but that limits me to only one or two vegetables. We tend to going elsewhere for our Indian take-aways now.

Booked here for a birthday treat, 7 people for some tasty nosh. It was a buffet night so the kids were happy as they were paying lol. The food, as always was well cooked and very tasty, and great value. Service is always top notch here and I am sure we will return.

Was very impressed with The Curry Inn.Not only was the service brilliant but the plates came nice and hot too. Very tasty and spicy Indian food without being over hot. The menu offers a wide range of Indian dishes which you don't get in most Indian restaurants. Finally the cost (including drinks) was less than I expected so tipping wasn't a problem either...

What can I say - we always have such lovely meals with such helpful and friendly staff I can not recommend this restaurant enough to anyone that visits Needham Market, a real treasure - Highly recommended

Very good food and also good service, price is your average Indian. They look after you and are quick with the food...visited many times and would visit again! Worth a meal with the family or friends.

Modern clean decor, Great service, and an enormous choice of curries. I loved the onion bhaji's with a lovely raita. Great for a crowd.

Mixed starter was alright but not particularly flavourful. Curry looked better than it tasted. Naan was a standard naan. Didn't order dessert as they looked like they were out of a packet.The saving grace was a superb glass of Chilean Sauvignon blanc, and not a bad decor. Parking right outside but I'm unlikely to go again

Having lived in Suffolk the majority of my life I had never been to the curry inn before. That was then... its now one of my favourite places to go ! The staff are all extremely friendly and like to have a chat! Puts everything at ease in the restaurant environment. If you have food allergies like me they're very knowledgable and go to all measures to make sure it's free from things you can't eat. The service is brilliant and the food itself is top class. Prices are reasonable to. Would definitely recommend if your around needham market and wanting somewhere good to eat.

Table booked for 8pm Saturday evening for a party of 10. Lovely restaurant. Very attentive staff. Food very tasty. An enjoyable evening had by all.

Valentines meal.. Never been before but heard a lot of positive comments. Easy to book.. Very busy as a takeaway. Nice surroundings. Food choice excellent. Need to change their serving trollies as they let the place down.. Very worn. Worth a visit.

Have been a few times for the Sunday buffet - very good - good choice and is always well replenished. It gets busy so best to book.

We decided to try the Curry Inn as a Birthday Treat, this was the first time we have been here but it will certainly not be the last. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. Looking forward to going back soon.

4th visit with my lot ,again the food was enjoyed by us all .Good food with good friends .Has to be good we were well looked after by the staff .We keep coming back because we enjoy it .I had a Fish dish again ,very tasty and hot enough to make it worthwhile ,can't see the point going for a mild dish !

A previous visit brought high praise from all in our party. This time it was praise with a few reservations. The hot air heating was oppressive, even after it was turned down a bit. Of the lamb meals, the best by far was slow cooked. The others were a bit too 'chewy'. The vegetable and rice dishes were excellent. Price-wise very good value all round. The service was friendly and helpful. Glad we were not put off by some recent poor reviews.
