I went to get some breakfast this morning again! The large full English breakfast was on point, the staff was so nice and welcomed us from the moment we come through the door, we also received our food so fast even though they was very busy what was a bonus. I will be back again tomorrow without a doubt!

Been many times ,food always perfect, lively portions and always great quality. Breakfast or lunch when we go to sudbury it's our number 1 choice.

Waiting time was long and others that came in after us were served before us😩Two big breakfasts and two coffees, we asked for ONE lot of toast as we usually find one lot each is too much and one breakfast with scrambled egg not fried. Wait for it !!!! Came to £29.40 and found out that they charged us extra £2+ for the scrambled egg this should have been mentioned when ordering no wonder these places end up loosing customers we won’t bother again

Having read the reviews, we were expecting something special for our Sunday breakfast. The wait was quite a while, but on the menu, it says fresh tastes better so no problem with the wait. However, a bit disappointed when the number 2 breakfasts arrived. On one, the fried egg was over cooked and hard. On the other, when turning the bacon over, it also was over cooked and burnt. On the side, one had toast and the other had bread and butter. I have never seen toast or bread buttered so badly. Someone had clearly just put very little spread onto a knife and simply had one sweep across, missing out all four sides. Basically just rushed. For the money, there are, in my opinion, far better places elsewhere so I’m afraid we won’t be returning.

The cafe is great the good is delicious and never disappointed. It's a cafe so it's busy and noisy at times. The only criticism I have is that whenever you have salad with anything it's cut up do small it's difficult to eat and you don't really enjoy it. Having dexterity issues I find this any issue. Please Huffers make your salads a bit bigger and easier to eat.

The Breakfast was the worst I have ever had the sausage was deep fried to say bad is an understatement.The bacon was salty mushrooms where very greasy and the toast had hardly any butter spread on it and rubbery .£31 for two breakfast with tea and a coke and Fanta was overpriced I have had breakfast costing half that price and much better quality don't bother go elsewhere.

Went to huffers yesterday and was amazed as always with the service. the food come fast and did not disappoint. This is by far the best cafe in Sudbury in my opinion. If you want affordable and good food, huffers is the place to go!

The food is really good no complaints there but the kitchen really needs to read the customers orders. This is second time visiting that order was wrong this time mushroom in an omelette which wasn't requested. Also salad literally had whole cucumber in it so clearly the salad bowl is not mixed up enough. So there was a waste of mushrooms and cucumber in one order.

Came in for lunch today, took 10 minutes before someone took my order, ordered a big breakfast & a latte, the food arrived before the latte and I had to ask the waitress where my latte was, the breakfast itself looked really good but unfortunately it was stone cold, I didn't say anything as I was starving hungry and just needed something in me but overall pretty disappointed and I doubt I will return.

Outrageous.. charged £4.90 for 1 slice of toast & a tomato!!! I spoke to the manager who insisted the charge was correct according to their till. Crazy because their general menu is good value for money.

Fantastic breakfast. Great price for big portions.the place was very busy for midday on a Saturday. Didn’t have too wait for a table for two. Will be back again.

Ordered the fish ( plaice ) and chips. This was served freshly cooked and piping hot within 10 minutes and I can honestly say that this was the tastiest fish and chips I have ever had - bearing in mind we normally order the same in a restaurant near us which is certainly not as good as this and over twice the price !! OK - Huffers is quite small and crowded and very busy but heh !! the food was superb.

Although we called in at lunchtime and it was very busy, however the service was excellent. The young lady quickly took our order, the teas and coffee were with us within minutes and the main course was on our table in less than 10 minutes. With it being so busy we were expecting a long delay, but that was not the case The size of the meals was enormous and most importantly freshly cooked. We shall certainly visit again and the best restaurant we have visited in the Sudbury area. Highly Recommended

Called in today for another splendid lunch, food cooked perfectly using quality ingredients and all severed up by attentive polite staff, my partner enjoying the freshly cooked pasta and myself the all day brunch that will fill anyone, other cafes in town have a hard act to follow and some of them fall well short. This is the second time we have visited Huffers. The food is very well cooked, large portions, served lovely and hot, decent quality ingredients and very reasonably priced. Yes you may have to wait a few minutes sometimes but is a very busy cafe. The staff seem very pleasant.

Impromptu lunch with a friend today. We had tel lovely big pots of tea and a sandwich lunch. I had Brie and bacon wholemeal toastie. My sandwich was full of. Geese and very tasty bacon and was served with coleslaw and a side salad. The salad is always quite heavy with red onion but tasty non the less My friend had a belt on white bread, no coleslaw this time but a nice side salad The sandwich took a little time to arrive but this is because they are made fresh and you can taste it too. The bread is fresh and soft Highly recommend

Have eaten here many times and always been very happy. After a recent visit i realised I'd never left a review and thought it about time I did. After 5 of us arrived on a busy Saturday lunch. Food was lovely. Large portions for all and the veggie among us was happy with the selection available to him. I would also note there is a number of staff who have worked here a long time. To me that shows a good level of job satisfaction.

Well, I have not been in Huffers for ages as portions so large. Ventured here today as wanted an omelette and knew I would get a decent one here. The cafe was very busy, though when I first arrived I was the only person in the back room - that didn’t last long. The cafe was very clean, the staff very efficient. I find the portions here very large! I ordered a ham and mushroom omelette and a side salad. This does come with choice of chips, jacket potatoes, baked beans or boiled potatoes! My omelette had plenty of button mushrooms and I loved that these remained whole, I would have liked more ham if I’m honest but would definitely come again I had a pot of tea, this was a full pot with two tea bags. A rare thing these days, so often the pot is half empty and only has one tea bag - thank you Huffers I would also have liked to see some windows open. Very warm in the cafe, which many customers commented on as a positive when they came in but it would have been nice to see some fresh air coming in. It’s still flu season and Covid is still circulating!!

We popped in for lunch today at Huffers as it was recently recommended to us . It was absolutely superb,the food ,the service, the price.. We have eaten at many places but Huffers really does take some beating. If your planning on visiting Sudbury or live locally make sure you give it a try you will not be disappointed 👌🏻

This place used to be great. Unfortunately now it is not. Got seated and then promptly ignored and took ages for anyone to take my order. Food took ages - nearly had to leave as my parking was due to expire. Not the place it used to be. I would advise eating in other places in Sudbury

Went today as the tea shop we had planned to go to was shut. Very happily surprised! Good value and a good plate full of nice food. Well cooked. Staff seemed pleasant, also. All in all, a very good experience.

Huffers used to be our absolute favourite. Recommended to friends and family from afar. Not sure what's happened but the quality has gone down and prices up. Will try and give the place one last try! 🙂

New to Sudbury, thought we would try here for breakfast whilst our house was having some work done. Chose Huffers base d on reviews and were not disappointed. Great breakfast, excellent value for money, friendly staff.

Fantastic service and food. Beware though portion sizes are massive. No:1 breakfast would be plenty. No:3 and you get the meat sweats.

Quite often come here for breakfast with friends. Good selection, good portion sizes, tasty. The service can be a bit slow with staff forgetting drinks or not taking orders but most of the time the service is good.

Just popped into huffers today with my son to try and kill time. A great find, staff were welcoming and very friendly, I had an omelette and wow the best omelette I have tasted in ages so thank you, a very busy cafe and food...

Visited Sudbury and discovered this great cafe at the entrance to the town. Good Covid safety in place. A really lovely breakfast and looking at the menu they offer a wide variety of tasty lunches. Excellent.

If you're having lunch in Sudbury you cant go wrong going to Huffers. I'm not sure how they manage to offer such a huge varied menu and do it so well - but they do. There is definitely something for everyone and, having eaten and tried a lot of whats on the menu - I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. It's my go to place in Sudbury if I am taking somebody out for lunch as I know it will be good. The staff are lovely - seem to really care that you enjoy being there.

Me and a friend just had breakfast at huffers, it was nice, until we had literally both nearly finished our breakfast and noticed a thick black hair coming out of a mushroom my friend was just about to eat, luckily I noticed it and told him, we didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to make a fuss and put everyone off their food, we both left feeling like we had hair in our mouths, not a very nice experience.

This restaurant has a terrific approach for those who want high quality & very generous portions of traditional British style meals - not oversold though.If you’re looking for these traits rather than flashy or fancy flavours/names - you just cannot do better. The food quality is excellent, the service ideal & value for money as good as it gets.Cannot recommend highly enough

We have been lots of times but have never thought of writing a review.We can’t complain at all about Huffers. It can be a little cramped when busy but so cosy and friendly that basically it’s not a problem.The food is freshly cooked and the choice of menu is extensive and reasonably priced - can’t wait to go again.

Having only just moved to the area Hubby and I were out shopping Saturday afternoon and decided to have a late lunch and found Huffers.Staff were great very attentive and helped out with changes we wanted to make on one of our set meals.Food was lovely and very large portions.We will definitely be visiting again.

I am from New Zealand and each year always come to Sudbury to see my sister and family and have been doing this for nearly 20 years. I love coming to Huffers for the most delicious breakfast. Its always bought out so promptly by the friendly staff. The breakfast is just so fresh and tasty and over the years the price has stayed very reasonable.

We came as a group of 12, and they kindly set us a big table (reserved in advance). Very nice big breakfast, lots of food, all tasted good. Set us all up for the day. Nice touch for the vegan among us was that they hand-wrote a specific menu for him. Really liked this place, much recommended.

Stopped here for breakfast while visiting Sudbury. Good quality food, well priced and in a central location in the heart of Sudbury. Will visit again in the future.

We had breakfast here in August but found the smoked salmon to be tough & the eggs to be over cooked.The full English was “ok” but again not well cooked and the bacon was poor quality.There are better places to have breakfast in walking distance.

Huffers is certainly worth a visit, especially if you are hungry. We both had baked potatoes; both were enormous. You were very generous indeed; they were very good, so, sorry we could not finish them. Thank you for looking after us.

Went with a friend for breakfast on his recommendation. Amazing! Huge plate of food served piping hot to the table, fresh coffee and toast. This was not the biggest one either! If you want a proper Full English that literally sets you up for the day this is the place to eat. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended.

We went for Sunday breakfast. Very good food and plenty of it. Came with tea and toast. Service was good and reasonably priced. We would return.

Nice clean cafe. Extensive menu that’s rather overwhelming. I had beans on toast on brown bread, which was served lovely and hot, fresh unsliced bread and plenty of beans. I asked for tea and received a mug of good tea but realised afterwards they do have the choice of a pot of tea which Zi would have much preferred but was not asked which I wanted.

My friend and I went on a wonderful walk along Sudbury Railway Walk and the Water Meadows. We came back into the vibrant town of Sudbury happy relaxed and with empty stomachs. We went back to a favourite restaurant; Huffers which serves the best fresh traditional dishes. I had Bacon, Egg and Chips and my friend had Ham Egg and Chips. Two days later we were back in Sudbury and the memories of that lovely meal drew us back into Huffers. This time we both had Bacon, Egg and Chips. We left empty plates and had full stomachs!. The food is simple and cooked to perfection. the chips are dry, not greasy, the back bacon is delicious and the eggs perfect an without grease. All that for a fiver per person; great value too.

Popped in for a lunch to avoid the rain,great decision.i had the shepherds pie which came with a gravy boat full of gravy delicious.also there are a couple of pieces of stunning artwork on the walls

We've eaten here a number of times now and the food & service have always been excellent. I'm vegetarian, my husband isn't. Even as a veggie there is a good range of choice and everything has been amazing. My husband said the braised liver & bacon is particularly delicious. The veggie lasagne is delicious. Portion sizes are big and service is fast & efficient. Very well organised. Staff are friendly, the waitresses are so busy they definitely earn their crust. We think they must have a very good chef/s. Our favourite restaurant at present. Always busy, particularly on market days.

This well run establishment deserves much praise for the extensive menu and choices. Always something new to try on the daily offers board. The eating areas and toilets are very clean, and when customers have finished their meals the staff clear and prepare the table very quickly. Great for families and meeting and a good range of food for the fussy child.

Located in the middle of town, ideally situated as you wander around. Friendly staff and varied menu, they even do proper espresso coffee. Courtyard if you smoke and all at affordable prices.

This was our first time visiting Huffers after excellent reviews from family. My Nan in particular loved Huffers and always raved about the shepherd pie, sadly she passed away recently but it was lovely to visit and see for ourselves what she loved so much.

Visited today for breakfast. The coffee and service were good but I've awarded 4 stars as I felt the breakfast would have benefited from a better quality sausage and fresh mushrooms as apposed to tinned.

We came to Sudbury today and decided to have lunch before travelling home. It's years since we have been to Huffers and think it has new management since we last visited. We were absolutely thrilled to find that things haven't changed, friendly efficient staff, food produced quickly, quality of food and drinks excellent. Definitely will be returning on our next visit.

I had my breakfast there this morning. It was lovely! Standard English breakfast, but food was great, cheap price, good service, nice staff, nice location. I loved it.

Went to Sudbury in Suffolk and asked people where was a nice place to eat. Several people suggested Huffers so we tried it. Very pleasantly surprised. Could find no fault with the range of food, the service, the food and the quality of the food and the cost. No, I am not related to anybody there. Unfortunately, it is a long way for us to go for a meal or we would go more often. I understand that there are other very good restaurants nearby. Well done Huffers

Fantastic place! Was in need of somewhere that catered for both my sons and husband who have a very different palette. Lovely haddock and chips so buttery and melted in the mouth. Excellent value for money too. Well done.

Huffers is a proper breakfast cafe. The service is friendly, speedy and accomodating; the food is flawless—huge trucker's breakfasts with all you could wish for, cooked to perfection.

The cafe was bright when we visited. The seatings were comfortable. The staff were friendly. Service was efficient. The whole atmostphere was pleasant.

I visited Huffers with 3 friends on 15.09.18. The eatery is very clean, the staff were most welcoming and the food was of a high quality. The salmon baguette was very tasty and full of smoked salmon with a large portion of side salad. Excellent!

Well. Reviews seem good but sitting here right now and customer service is simply appalling. We asked what the soup of the day was and it was snapped at us, no smile no nothing really. Food needs to be nice

Went to Sudbury today for a trip out. Went to Huffers for lunch. What a fantastic find. From the moment we walked in the door the staff were very welcoming, when I mentioned that I was gluten intolerant I was told that this was not aexce problem. The food was excellent and the portion size huge and most of all excellent value for money. A great place for food.

We don’t live in Sudbury, but we always stop here for lunch when we visit. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is all a simple affair and all the better for it. It even has a sweet little courtyard garden to sit in on a sunny day. Highly recommended,

Passing through on way to visit family, we were looking for a late breakfast after a dip in the local swimming pool.

Mostly the menu is unassuming - omelettes english breakfast and burgers but everything though simple is justbthat bit better than you expect. The omelettes for example are large, generously filled and light. Highly recommended and a real plus for the tiwn.

We were in Sudbury for a registry office wedding on Saturday and went to the Gainsborough pub opposite for drinks. We were about to order food when they said they didn't take orders until 6pm. As it was only 4pm one of our party went to Huffers and asked if they could seat 20 of us. The said they could and re-arranged the tables in the back room. The service was good and the staff were very friendly. The menu was extensive and everyone enjoyed the food. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next morning for a full english breakfast. It would be a nice addition if they served alcohol.

Pleasant surroundings and very good food and plenty of it. However the service was a little slow. Had to chase the staff to get the sweet on order after 20 minutes waiting.

Went to Huffers today for a lunch 7 of us

We usually go to Huffers for the coffee, which is always excellent, but on Tuesday 12th June we thought we would also eat there. We both chose Fish and Chips. The portions were quite large, but whereas the batter should be golden brown, ours was DARK brown, which means it was either over-fried or double-fried; the fish itself was dry. Worse of all, I found two dark hairs in my meal. I mentioned all this to the waitress who said she would tell the chef, offered no apology and did not return with any response from the kitchen. We will not visit Huffers again, we've got the huff!

Nice food, however said fresh but wasn’t!! On a different note what was most disappointing, was the way I noticed the Manager bringing a female staff member to tears in front off whole restaurant for making a simple mistake!! Turkish men are not nice!!! Won’t be returning!!

Another great meal here. Had the prawn jacket and was delicious, so many prawns and that jacket was massive! Also had a smoothie which was great too. Waitresses very friendly as is the man behind the counter. Thanks!

First meal was lovely, we was sitting out in the garden on a lovely day,meal was great,quite a lot on your plate.Second time going there veggies was under cooked.
