Staff were so nice & helpful. The roast potatoes were not fresh horrible taste not even crispy but the chips were great but expensive for a very small bowl. Spent over £100 on expensive meals then went to look around the farm he wanted £15 extra. This place is all about making extra money. Plenty of other places to eat with play areas & animals with no extra cost. First and last time we live and learn.

Had high hopes for a really good breakfast. Disappointing overall unfortunately. Beans & tomatoe had an odd flavour to them. One small rasher of bacon was really fatty & greasy, along with the mushrooms being greasy also. Fried egg was cold & hard. Cold toast. Sausage was the best item on the plate really. Just not good enough overall, for the price am afraid. I did mention about the egg- the waitress said she would let the kitchen know..

We called into this farm shop Saturday early afternoon to stock up on a few fresh fruit and vegetables, not cheap and we hand picked but still , we have already had to throw out half the plums and nectarines and most of both containers of salad leaf as it was wet through when we opened up the packaging. We will certainly not call again and will not recommend either.

We have driven past multiple times saying that we should go in here and having finally done it... Wow we had the lunch menu which was amazing especially the liver and bacon! But it had very friendly staff who were even great with my dog who is currently in training. They brought out water for him and offered attention/treats. We sat out side with lovely views over the fields which contained alpacas, donkeys and further down, some large cows but overall very good and id definitely recommend!

Unfortunately the breakfast was poor. Poached eggs were cold and hard, beans are weird and tasted strange, the tomato also had a strange smoked flavour, not in a good way. Black pudding had been forgotten so came halfway through eating the breakfast. Tye best thing on the plate are the sausages. Really disappointed as I had high hopes of this place.

A very mixed bag - the farm shop and restaurant are high end, quality set ups and I would fully recommend them. The farm trail needs a lot of investment to bring it up to a decent standard - as it is somewhat run down and neglected, giving it a tatty feel. I'm sure the owners will attend to this over the coming years. Nice spot to let the kids blow off some steam as there's some kit to climb on etc.

Absolutely fantastic customer service from the butchery. I needed some gluten free cocktail sausages for a party and rang to enquire. They kindly advised that they had frozen GF large sausages (I could make that work, so I dropped in to buy some). I didn't leave a name or any contact details but, when I arrived, not only did the gentleman remember our phone conversation but he had bothered to make GF cocktail sausages even though he had not planned to do them that day. It will make the dish I am planning so much easier to cook. I was really quite stunned by that level of customer service and just had to leave a review to say thank you so much. We had bought things from you before but, after today we shall be back much more regularly!

Lovely food options in the restaurant and very tasty. There are options of mean meals, sandwiches and chips, cakes and children's meals. Soft drinks and alcohol available. We also visited the trail which was £3.50 each (free for under 2). A bag of animal feed was £1. The person on the desk was not welcoming or did not provide any information. However the trail is easy to navigate and has pigs, cows, alpacas, sheep, goats and some different birds. Very lovely scenery. There were some play parks for children. The trail is grass and was fine with a pram. Ther We also visited the shop which sold lots of home grown products. Would definitely recommend. There is also free parking available.

The meal was ok. Had a vegetarian breakfast with decent vegetables but sausages made out of wood or so it seemed. My partner had a middling burger. We then got trapped in the car park outside with another 5 cars and a couple of vans for half an hour as a large lorry was unloading. It's a working farm shop so this might be a frequent risk. So - be careful if you are in a hurry as this is near the A12 so on a commuter route. I won't be back but it seems a clean place. I found it very old fashioned but acceptable.

We had a lovely time around the farm trail, unfortunately the cafe is not so child friendly. After the trail we visited the cafe to enjoy some lunch and coffee. We were told that my 18 month old daughter was not allowed to eat the lunch I had provided for her, we had to order her lunch from the cafe. I understand for older children; however for small children who will not eat a large meal (and who do not have the patients to wait when they are hungry), I did not see why a homemade sandwich at the table to keep her happy and quiet would be an issue when the adults would be ordering a full lunch. I have not experienced this before at other cafes and restaurants.

The farm trail that used to be free is now charged. Not value for money! Barbed wire around all the pens is child height and dangerous, no cleaning gel in the dispensers.Whilst ordering food and drink for 4 adults 2 babies were given a child snack by us and we were told in no uncertain terms that NO food not purchased on site could be eaten. We explained that they were babies and wouldn't eat a plate of food and it was to keep them happy/quiet until our food came and we could share ours and were told NO again. So we left without eating there. They missed out on 4 adults bill because they would not allow babies to eat a snack whilst we waited!Used to go here regularly but something has changed.....won't be going back or recommending to anyone!

My husband and I were staying in a holiday cottage about 10 mins away and went here twice for breakfast. Both times we had the full English breakfast and it kept us full all day! The food was really tasty, well cooked and was served in good time.We sat outside both days and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Staff were very efficient and friendly. There was plenty of parking although it does get busy as there is also a farm shop and farm trail which is popular with families on the site. The cafe is taking part in the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme in August which made the breakfast on one of the days a bargain, but I would say even their regular prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of food that was served.

Hall Farm Cafe became our breakfast oasis during a 3-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express a few miles away. For covid reasons the hotel was not providing its usual breakfast service and its takeaway bags were simply not sufficient to meet our cooked breakfast needs! Hall Farm Cafe’s breakfasts, on the other hand, were excellent. The only things we didn’t like were their homemade baked beans, but they were in a tiny separate ramekin so were easily left! In addition to the high quality of the food, the cafe itself and its staff were excellent. Happily the cafe was also participating in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which made the cost of 3 mornings times 4 people much more sustainable for us!
