Deen's Curry & Grill in Peterborough

Don’t be put off by the first appearance. Probably a little underwhelming for an Indian restaurant but once you are it’s worth it. I was the first in on a Thursday evening so wasn’t sure at first. I was welcomed in by the owner with friendly chat and a big smile. I ordered meat samosa, lamb saag balti, pashwari naan and the usual popadoms with pickle tray. Starter was nice. Not greasy nice and crisp outer with tasty meat filling. The naan was lovely and soft, great taste but the standout was the lamb saag balti absolutely brilliant. The lamb was melting while twisted in with loads of spinach and balti spice. All in best Indian I’ve had in a while don’t miss out on this place if visiting for work. Worth it

The chicken curry was filled with 3/4 oil in the container, had no taste whatsoever was bland and sour tasting and even the chicken was hard. It inedible and went straight in the bin. Ordered prawn puri the puri was also oily and had no taste. After waiting for an hour for this, food was horrible I definitely won’t be ordering again, very disappointing.

This is an amazing place to enjoy an authentic curry meal. AJ is a wonderful guy and nothing is too much trouble for him. AJ was super accommodating and explained and recommended things we might like to try. The mixed grill was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it. All the food was hot and delicious and presented well. The mango lassi was also very tasty. We will definitely be eating there again soon!

Fantastic authentic Indian food . Family run, A J the owner and he's son make you so welcome and guide you through the various dishes . Highly recommend the mixed grill and lamb and chicken balti the flavours are to die for . Good friendly atmosphere made us feel very welcome. Number 1 Indian in Peterborough will definitely be using again , thanks for an amazing meal AJ your the best .

Wrong curry delivered, even that had no taste, tender but tasteless chicken, you could not tell what curry you were eating. Only conclusion is that the chef had changed and is unable to cook, unlike the previous chef whose food was awesome; first noticed poor quality new years eve, giving the benefit of doubt this was due to high demand and an exception, now over a month later the quality is poor to say the least and this will be the last we will ever have from them.

We had travelled down from bradford to spend time with family from Peterborough for the new year. We have been to plenty of restaurants in bradford and have to say that after having the food at deens currys we were blown away. Everyone of us enjoyed our starters and mains. The service was spot on with conversations flowing yet very professional throughout. We will definitely be back next time we visit Peterborough. Pathetic! Ordered special mixed grill and prawns for home delivery. Prawns were undercooked and kebabs were overcooked.

Most pleasant experience in Peterborough I’ve had.. greeted at the door like a royal guest. Taken to my seat and table and waited on very very well. All the food was served lovely, hot, and all Fresh that day, actually the best place I’ve eaten and will be returning with my family again. They also have a room upstairs for private hire that I will be using for future birthdays. Not only that, but they helped me get a taxi booked home, came out to it ready and waiting!

It was our first time coming to deens curry and grill.the food was fantastic and delicious 🤤 .the chef came out to understand our requirements and made the food just perfect.all the staff was very helpful, welcoming and cheerful. We had a great experience.will recommend highly.we will be coming here again and again.

It took 1hr 40 to arrive,its stone cold and I ordered the pickle tray which cost £2-50 and it’s not with the order.

Ordered a curry from here at the weekend. The dishes were out of this world and the naans, the only negative was 2 naans for £7… it was keema and Peshwari, however, I do think it’s slightly costly but still highly recommend

Lived in Peterborough for a long time and feel embarrassed that I’ve not been here until now. The food was perfection. Great price and brilliant service. Portions are big. Honestly the best curry I’ve had in Peterborough hands down.

Came for a business trip from Blackburn, I ordered the Lamb karahi mains, this is the best place to eat in Peterborough. Friendly staff, great service and above all absolutely fantastic foods. Will always recommend to locals and people visiting.

Had take away, food was ok, quantity was less, but packing box was big, prices are different in google and their own website, in restaurant prices are different, it’s better to ask while placing order over phone, not worth for the money which I paid.

We have just eaten at Deens and it was fantastic from start to finish, my meat korma was full of flavour and the meat melted in the mouth. There was the right amount of sauce to rice. I would recommend Deens to all who are thinking of going out. Well done everybody

I ordered at 19.30. Told it would be under an hour. An hour and a half later it was delivered cold. Not even warm and missing a vegetable rice.

Had to call restaurant twice, not informed they busy till last call and unapologetic. Came an hour and 35 mins late and barely room temperature. Buttered chicken was less average and not worth the £40 for room temperature, very late food.

placed my order before 5pm (they open at 5) got the update that delivery would be between 18:20 & 18:40. got the out for delivery message at 18:40, chased it at 19:10 received delivey at 19:30. it tasted great but was cold.

You haven't been anywhere else yet until you come to Deen's. The service is just awesome and the food is way too tasty to be coming from the UK served much more traditional than anywhere I have been. Guys the proof is definitely in the pudding so give them a go

Not to the usual std. Jalfrezi was very very mild to the point I don’t think spiced had been added, no chillies cooked in the sauce like normal and chicken was sliced placed on the top. Rogan Josh again extremely mild and disappointing, chicken tandoori coating did not taste the same and the nan breads were heavy not light like usual, not feeling like freshly cooked.

We had a tawa for two. It was immaculate and very tasty. Fish was fresh and moist and lamb kebabs were juicy. A must visit for food lovers

Quite frankly the best curry I've had so far from just eat. Chicken Tikka Masala was fantastically crafted. It's a bit far from me, but I shall become a returning customer!
