The Bumble Inn in Peterborough

Based on two consecutive early evening visits, this is little haven with great beers; great for solitary chilling after a hectic day. Interesting symbiotic relationship with the Nepalese restaurant next door.

Fantastic micropub. Ticks all boxes in terms of beer selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff(owner in this case) who are happy to enjoy conversation and seating arrangements promoting chat with other patrons, an essential for a good micropub. Bonus being a nice Asian takeaway next door that will deliver to the pub some appetizers etc

Excellent little micro-pub, with a knowledgeable team and superbly stored and served cask ales... just look at the brewer's lace on that. No score on the food purely because we didn't try any.

Pain a visit here Easter Sunday. Had a couple of pints of the Jaipur. Also had a couple of samosas. Positive experience all round. Will be back for another visit.

Tiny pub with I was told great beers and spirits as a non drinker I felt there was a limited choice , but I'd recommend the place to anyone who enjoys a good pub.

What a lovely little place! A great selection of unusual beers, lovely rosemary peanuts and great staff. It's not near me but I will try very hard to come back!

The leg space underneath the tables was awful and the non alcoholic drinks inventory was terrible+there was no pepsi max or coca cola zero sugar). Their snacks inventory was dismal too(there were no crisps of any kind and there wasn't any ice cream to sweeten the coke zero in fact all they had was peanuts🤮).

The Bumble Inn is an outstanding real ale micropub in Peterborough, a 5 minute walk from the station. Craft beer pubs in town are few and far between, this is the best one. It's a very small pub (20-25 customers max at the same time I reckon), the décor is very basic and functional, as with so many small craft establishments. Tiny outside seating to the front, on the pavement. The staff are very friendly indeed (one gave me a free ticket to the trade session of the beer festival), and they know their beers. The list of canned and bottled beers was outdated, but that proved no real problem at all. Visited almost daily during my 9-day visit to Peterborough. Good atmosphere, many local punters, good rotation of cask ales. Happy to have found my go-to place for cask beer on the very first day. I bumbled in, I bumbled out. Frequently.

Good choice of well kept real ales. Converted shop so not a huge establishment and it's tricky to have a conversation when its busy as quite loud.

Tidy micropub a short stroll from the bus station, with five cask beers, two keg and one lager, alongside a lengthy list of cans. A good few tables inside with a couple out on the street. Well worth a visit!

Excellent micropub located in the city centre close to the railway station with a brilliant selection of craft beers and real ales. Friendly barstaff with good knowledge on beer. A must visit for any real ale fan.

An enjoyable experience of what a pub should be! Great landlord with welcoming smile (and who remembers your name and that of the locals!), great beer from local brewers and a great atmosphere unbesmerched by Sky TV or pushy sales tactics. A great, friendly and honest watering hole. Just wonderful !!

Brilliant service, brilliant beers

This is one of my favourite pubs in Peterborough. It is a proper little pub with no music, just very friendly people open to good conversation. Every time I have been in I have met someone interesting. It is a very small and cosy venue with an excellent selection of craft beers, gins, mead and more. If you like to try something new then this is a place for you. There are always new guest ales. I'm really looking forward to the next "mini beer festival" where they team up with two other micro pubs and you can catch a free bus between them. I really look forward to getting back in there after the COVID lock down.

Spot on for a micro pub. Can't complain about anything. The barman (owner?) Was a lovely guy who was friendly down to earth, knowledgeable and professional. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy too. A wide range of different ales were available for all tastes.

Small pub, but very welcoming, friendly owner, overall a quiet and convivial environment. The beers change very quickly so you always have the opportunity to try new and excellent quality products.

Excellent beers choice, does gins and range of red, white, fizzy and rosé. NO PIPED MUSIC. YES !!

Very typical small micro pub. Does exactly what it says...serves several real ales at a time. Been three times in three days and ticked off four new breweries. As many as all the other outlets visited in Petetborough, Oakham and Huntingdon. Really friendly staff. Highlight of the trip for beer...but the Lord Nelson in Oakham is something special.
