I grew up by the sea and have had fish and chips every week of my life. No exaggeration, the fish from here was the nicest fish I have ever had! So glad it's on my road so I can visit regularly.

Standard cod was a 4/5 and chips were a 4/5. Food wise from me that's a high rating. Service and prices were good. Good sides and sauces. Bonus: hard to find halal fish and chips. 5 stars overall.

Freshly made lovely crispy fish and awesome chips. Love the curry sauce too. Really great customer service. Been here lots of times and never had a bad meal.

Long waiting time for the order, undercooked fries, tasty fish, only breading soaked in too much fat, and lettuce haha, a few pieces of shredded Chinese cabbage. I probably won't come back

The staff could all benefit from customer service awareness. The online recommendations encouraged us to break our journey and leave the motorway. Following their directions we were threaded through a maze of double parked , speed hump laden back streets, only to find it near impossible to park amongst hoards of men standing around in intimidating groups. We managed to park about half a mile away. On arrival we made our order, only to be abruptly told, no card, cash only. We had so much invested by this time, we just thought, find a cash point, collect our food and restart our journey as we still had many hours driving. We collected our fish and chips which were nothing special and left. Please don't make our mistake and put yourself through the same nightmare. To be avoided in my opinion and my experience.

Oxford is one of the best fish and chip shop I’ve visited in Peterborough, I was shocked to see such good quality fish and chips, I guess it’s true when they say the best things in come in small packages!

Excellent food and service - order in advance then pick it up fresh. Just ask for chips to be soft not to be crunchy though as sometimes they can be - and ask for middle piece of cod. Halal and yummy. Try the sausages too battered.

I'm a foodaholic and like my good old traditional fish and chips. I've been to all the fish n chips places in Peterborough and can easily say that this is the best fish n chips in Peterborough. Keep it up guys!

I said I'd leave a review, and here it is. The shop is clean and inviting, parking not too problematic on street despite it being a busy area and my visit at a busy time. Staff welcoming friendly and professional, felt like a valued customer. Price excellent, portion size generous. Chips very pleasant and batter was really nice on the fish. Cod good rather than excellent. Not a frequent visitor to P town, but this will now be my go-to when we do visit family. A good local business run by good people, certainly at this stage beats the competition locally and will continue to grow I hope.

Best fish and chips in Peterborough.

Had masala fried fish was pretty decent personal preference could have been a little more spicy. The chips were decent did not dry up and become hard still had a soft centre and sweet potato. The cod with batter a little disappointing but to be fair this standard of batter seems to be around many other similar shops. Overall a decent experience friendly service nice and clean shop. Good luck for the future hope business can pick up after lockdown Xx

all these people placing 5 star reviews need to get to the seaside and have fish and chips. bite into the fish and the batter is soggy and end up with a mouthful of grease

There is fish and chips and then there is Oxford's fish and chips! They are in a league of their own. The chips always taste lovely and fresh and all cut to one size and cooked just right. The fish too is cooked to perfection, the batter is well mixed too. The place is really clean which is great to see.

We've just moved in the area, were looking for a good fish and chip shop and came across Oxford Fish and Chips. Service good, food excellent, well priced, clean, well presented. I highly recommend it.

The food was brilliant and did not disappoint me at all. The fish was tasty and fresh and really worth the price. The service was great and the staff were really lovely and kind. The environment was perfect and great for your family and friends to pop down for a mouth watering chippy. Oxfords fish and chips you have absolutely smashed it! I purchased the regular fish and chips and the size of the portion was just like a large. The quality of the food was amazing, the fish was crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside. Beautifully made and presented. The decor of the shop is wow! And the shop is so clean. The best Fish & Chips I’ve had in a long time, but more importantly, on my second visit (and every visit since), the taste has been the exact same. Remarkable consistency which I think is a sign of a great chippy. Can’t recommend enough, reasonable pricing as well!
