Breakfast here 4 days in a row enjoying early autumn sun. Great bacon and egg rolls, wife enjoyed the fruitcake (for breakfast!) but the best thing was the terrific flat whites in proper cups and saucers. Nice staff, great view goes without saying.

Perfectly located on the Prom, it presents itself really well. Nicely done menu of food and drink (I like a thoughtfully done typeface), and that feeling is carried through to the take away drink cups and the general decor. I was much taken with the long spoon that comes with the latte (not the takeaway) - thoughtful and nice. Not said anything about what people go there have I? it's on a par with the overall feel. Coffee is good, bacon roll is good, seating is good, service is good, clientele is good, view is good. All in all - very good.

Dropped in for an ice cream, expecting a bland vanilla-or-strawberry menu, but wow. Eight or ten lovely flavours, all tempting; the ones we tried were superb. Bench nearby and another long bench on the side of the cafe. We were reading the menu, and were impressed by the variety - you could have a good lunch and a drink here (tea, coffee, cold soft drinks etc). This place is no bigger than an average living room, but we could have had a terrific beach lunch here.

My wife and I were visiting Southwold for a walk along the beach and to look around the the town and pier. Well after a good walk we decided that a little refreshment break was needed. We walked around the town and we could not get into any of the cafes as they were too busy, so we decided to walk back down to the seafront as we could remember seeing a beach cafe.We soon found Suzie’s Beach Cafe. There was a good choice of food and hot and cold drinks. We ordered a Tuna Panini each and I also ordered a sausage roll as they looking great. We also had 2 teas. I was given an order number and we sat in the steps by the cafe and waited for our order. It was not long before our food was ready. The food came in a box which was good. On opening the box I found a great looking panini with a side portion of crisps. Now I can honestly say this is one of the best panini’s I have had - the bread was lovely to taste - it was obvious that somebody had pride in what they were serving. The sausage role was so tasty and filling. In summary it was so nice just sit on the steps in front of the beach huts and have our snack and watch the world go buy. Great food for a little beach cafe - well worth a visit.

Because of Covid, we found it difficult getting into places for a meal on an evening, this little cafe saved the holiday. The quality of the food is really very good, we ate here 3 times during our week stay. The tea was really good and the ice cream was superb. I wish we had found it earlier in the week. If you use good quality ingredients, the bacon was delicious, breads really great, then you can’t go far wrong, so many places now do not serve the best, they are very disappointing, but this place excels!Thank you

Stopped here on a visit to sunny Southwold. Sheltered from the wind we had hot drinks (amazing Mocha) and a couple of scones. These were probably some of the lightest scones I have ever tasted, full of juicy raisins and very moist. Topped off with clotted cream they are hard to beat. Our dog was made most welcome too. Your holiday/break to Southwold isn’t complete unless you make a pit stop here. It’s a little slice of heaven right on the beach front. Take your average British beach hut cafe, add a splash of class, service you’d expect in a restaurant and great quality produce and you’re on to a winner. It’s more like a gastro beach cafe. We have visited suzies a lot over the years and never once had any complaints, we went today food was fantastic as always and the ladies where so friendly and helpful it’s just a shame the man there came across really rather rude, we had our lunch and rather than get another drink and piece of cake or ice cream we felt the need to leave as the way he spoke to us about how the table was in the wrong place (a place where a member of staff had placed it to be helpful may I add) and him saying “if you don’t move it back we will loose our licence and then nobody will be sitting here” made us feel very unwelcome especially as we hadn’t put it there in the first place, Such a shame as we had gone there for my mums birthday!!! We visited Southwold for the first time this week during the heatwave and were walking along the prom at the end of the day and noticed Susies cafe. What a find! We sat at a table decorated with a vase of sweet peas, bought a cup of tea and watched the world go by. Staff were so friendly and the food looked so good we made the hours drive back 2 days later to make another visit. My husband loves scones but has to follow a gluten free diet so when he saw g/f scones on the menu he was tempted. Wow! It was the best g/f scone ever. I like to think I am a really good baker but this was amazing, hot from the oven, not shoved in a microwave and didn't crumble into pieces like they have a tendency to do. I would love the recipe! Our labrador was given a doggie biscuit so he was happy too. My green tea was lovely served in a proper mug. All the sandwiches can be served on gluten free bread and they also stock dairy free ice cream. We are so sorry to be going home tomorrow and can't fit in another visit.

I’ve been here for a few afternoon teas and lunches. The food is always lovely and cooked well, the themed afternoon teas are always really fun and a great treat for the local area. However the staff are not very attentive, they give you your food/drinks and leave you! It states unlimited drinks but they don’t ask if you need more, they don’t even check if your food is okay or if you need anything. At one point my friend said ‘excuse me’ and tried getting the attention of staff at the table next to us and the staff member just walked away, when we finally managed to ask for more tea they huffed like we were an inconvenience. There were also loads of hairs on our food, I think they were blowing around because they just kept appearing, maybe because they allow dogs. It’s a shame because I love the afternoon teas but it has put me off.

Great meal had here on Saturday 😁 food was delicious 😋 We felt a little rushed though 🫤 our main course came when we were still eating our first course and was asked about dessert very quickly after finishing our mains🥴

What an excellent choice of meals, starters and main courses and a specific lunch menu too!! 5 of us all had different meals and a pudding each as well. Everything was perfect. Good value for money too. The pub has been decorated and furnished well - tables not too close together. And the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Probably one of the best pub lunches we've had for years.

Super friendly and the burgers are amazing. Would probably travel back here just for this place. Chilli loaded chips are also fantastic

We were staying in wrentham for the weekend and called in for a pint on the Friday and saw that Saturday was a tapas evening. So we booked a table for Saturday. Both the food and service were excellent. We would definitely visit again when next visiting the area.
