Nothing but 5stars will do. Fantastic service, creative and delicious desserts in a lovely atmosphere, we even took a couple of cakes home to enjoy later.
Highly recommend a visit and will certainly return to try the tasting menu!
Emily was very attentive and proactive during our bottomless brunch, we visited for drinks and food, she also had very good banter and energy throughout our time here. Very good all round!
Have eaten here a few times so my daughters chose here for a mothers day meal for me , i was disappointed in the mains mine and my daughters chicken was very rubbery and tough , very disappointed in the meal.
It’s a nice enough venue, it used to be my local. However the food experience, on this occasion was very poor.
Bread and oil, ok- but odd tasting oil. Surely not Olive oil??
But….. wow, but….. the fishfinger sandwich. Just awful.
So, the bread was so cold, if it wasn’t recently frozen, then why, why do you serve bread at that refrigerated temperature.
The filling. One piece of the most horrific, Tesco value battered fish- not even fish fingers. Cut in two, and stuffed inside. One of my half’s of sandwich wasn’t even half covered in fish. See photo.
The fish, omg, saturated in fat, and the batter basically hollow, save for a tiny bit of grey fish. See photo.
When I complained that I was not willing to pay £8 for it- the server said. “Yeah we get that all the time”. (!!!!!!!). And “yeah there’s not much fish in them” (!!!!!!!)
Asked what I wanted to do about it, my options were a refund, or for the chef to cook a second portion of fish to actually fill the sandwich.
It arrived, again sopping in grease, and basically hollow and ominously grey inside… again see pics.
Onion rings on the side - sopping in grease, I mean, turn the fryers up…
Just not good enough- just unacceptable for a village pub, have pride, buy better ingredients, and do better.
What an amazing restaurant. I stayed next door at the travel lodge for a week on business and used the Baltic Amber Restaurant daily for lunch and dinner. The staff are very lovely never been to a restaurant where the staff go the extra mile they look after you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. The food is a very delicious and the portion size is also amazing. If you’re looking for a lovely meal and a friendly place to go I would highly recommend you won’t be disappointed.
I CANNOT tell you how good this place is. Mouth sex redifined. They've elevated what chips can be, the bbq meats have changed my life and the sticky toffee pud is enough to turn any Celiac.
Forever in my heart
Yours,
Aaron
Quaint pub in the village of Stalham. Friendly staff, great service, delicious food, varied menu with a good choice of chef’s specials. I’d definitely recommend anyone try this pub.
